I just thought that I would post my almost Christmas trip 12/17/03 - 12/23/03 report. I always wanted to see Disney during christmas just for the decorations so we went right before christmas.
We stayed and the CR garden view. The rooms were clean and smelled nice. No complaints I just wish that I had booked a tower room (that was my first time in CR).
The decorations in all the parks were very nice and the wait times were very short until the 23rd of Dec. (Whoa! Nelly after that). COP was open and we also got to see main street all lit up in the dark after a 8:30pm PS at CRT. the weather was sunny but abnormally cold for Florida (I thought anyway).
The highlights were a nice dinner at Nine Dragons and 50's primetime. DW found stuffed SI and AM in MGM (I've never seen them before). I had a Turkey Leg for the first time and DS4 ate a good portion of it finally grabbing it from me. The Mickey Bar was also a first for me, DS4 also ate mine. I actually had to buy three just to finish one. DW was 4-5 mos. pregnant at the time and she ate everything in site.
The lowlights were I got a mild case of food poisoning from the leg of lamb at CRT. I think I'll skip the dinners there next time. I also noticed a growing trend from year to year that all the gift shops in the MK, CRT, GF, Poly all sell the same stuff. I just miss the magic shop and all the different stuff on main street that you used to be able to buy.
I think we'll go back to the AKL ( that's our favorite). the bus rides really arent that bad you just need to wing it or plan for 45 min of travel ( this includes walking ) time to be safe.
