Dec 09 PTR The Molecular change is in full swing. pg40 the pink puppy

Awww I love those cute halloween photos - so adorable

I really wish we lived in the US, I love the way you guys celebrate everything!! You go all out and get dressed up and decorate your homes for every special occassion and its amazing!! People kinda do things like that in the UK but not many and it's nothing in comparison to how you guys celebrate halloween & christmas - think that's why i love going disney during those times  Can get my US celebration fix :wizard:

I will tell you, and I'll have to see if the fellow northerners agree, that the further south you get the more elaborate they get with their decorating for the holidays. I think it is because in the south there is really no change of seasons so the only way to tell what time of year it is is by the decorations they have up. I swear that Florida is more decorated for Halloween than NY is. When we were there in Oct 2006 even the toll booths were decked out in scarecrows, pumpkins, and ghosts!! And this was all outside Disney property

Hmm! You know, I never really thought of this as Southern thing! I've not spent any holidays up north, so I really don't know how different it would be. But you're right, we sure do go all out down here. :cutie:

I LOVE the Bicentenial costumes! How cute that Reese got to wear it! Madi was Dumbo last year and my Foster Son wore it in 2004. I'll have to get some pics of that scanned :)

Wow, what a fun PTR! I'm reading through from the beginning and my DH is starting to think I've lost it (again). I was literally LOL over the buttwich and he looks over at me and asks if the voices in my head made a funny. :lmao: Sadly, my voices aren't funny; they're worriwarts. :sad2: That's why I need the invisible people who live in my computer when I'm in the mood for a good giggle. :surfweb:

I love hearing your Marzi and Ty stories. They crack me up! It was so great being a child! Which was like, only yesterday!!!

You get to go back again next year? How lucky for you. Now I'm really jealous. It will be so much fun with your neices/nephew. Little ones to spoil the crap out of. Yaaaaay!

I loved those Kermit tees. Especially the underwear one. VERY CHIC!

How are you liking Survivor? I am so addicted to that show. If I'm not home I literally start panicking. That Russell guy needs his butt kicked.

Good luck on the crocs. I remember us having the dilema the last time we went. I choose comfy over cute any day.

Hey, remember that one time, at Disney World, when you wore your slippers to the park and your children never told you??
Siiiigh. To be a kid again:rolleyes:

I'm excited to go back again and I haven't even been on this trip yet. I find myself planning for the trip with my nieces all the time. If it happens in October 2011 that's still quite a ways away, I am hoping to take at least a mini trip before then.

Kermit Klien is so cool, who'd of thunk it? I always thought Kermit was more of a boxer type frog, not a tightey whitey.

I'm finding myself getting ticked off at Survivor because of Russell, I hate when people can't see others for devil they are. IT was hard for me to get used to survivor, hadn't watched in years. I think they should do it more like "Lost" you know, when the "Others" would sneek over to beach and snatch a few people. That would make the show a little more interesting.

COmfy always wins out over cute, I am the croc pusher! Help me rally the non crocers!

Oh I so remember wearing my slippers to MK. Danged kids! I'm still trying to think of a way to get them back. I know we had talked about me showing up at their school in a mu-mu and my hair in rollers, but with my luck that would be the day I either get pulled over or somehow end up on the news. I still gotta live in this town.

Thanks for stopping in, I know you're busy with school. What is you want to be when you grow up?

See, it was in your destiny!! I think if you had said that you actually picked the green with the wood panel I would have sworn you were related to the Griswold's (you know between the car and the European Vacation pictures!! :lmao:

I love the Bicentennial costumes! LOL why does your sister look so bummed? I could definitely tell you were happy to be staying! The fall is my favorite time of year too. In my eyes the whole fall/winter holidays just were meant to be together. Starting with Halloween and then ending with Christmas, it just seems right that I can't go right from one set of decorations to the other. I seriously wanted to have a masquerade theme for our wedding, but alas I quickly lost that fight too. But I did get my fall theme with the girl's dresses, the flowers and the colors.
I should just give in and confess to being a Griswold. Thanksgiving dinners at our house are alot like the movie Christmas Vacation. Right down to the crapper being full.

NO, sis doesn't look happy in that picture. I don't know why. Probably stressing over spilled milk or something.

I used to go all out decorating for the holidays, I do a little for Halloween, lights and pumpkins, I keep it basic, I don't decorate for Thanksgiving, I just go right into Christmas, I like all the Christmas decorations up for Turkey Day, I usually start decorating the Saturday before Thanksgiving.

LOVED the pics of your Disney goodies and Halloween costumes. :goodvibes
Thank you. More to come.

When I lived in Germany we would celebrate our holidays plus the German holidays. I still do some of those German traditions. Like putting your shoes out on the night of Dec 5th and if you were good St. Nikolos would fill them with treats, if you were bad, he would fill them with switches for the parents to beat you with. So/so kids got switches with candy tied to them. I will have to post pics of that, it's fun, and my kids even at 15 and 17 still look forward to that.

We do celebrate everything here in the US. Any excuse to have a party!!! I tease my sister Bo alot, she is always having a party for some reason or another. THE GIRL CELEBRATES SPORK DAY FOR GOD SAKE! She is the Martha Stewart in the family and just loves to decorate and throw parties.

I totally agree with you. When we lived in Texas Mom always seemed to decorate for Christmas more then when we lived in Germany or Mi. She missed the white Christmases and change of seasons. If you want to see a lady get excited to tears, go with Mom on a fall color drive up north, it's insane!

I LOVE the Bicentenial costumes! How cute that Reese got to wear it! Madi was Dumbo last year and my Foster Son wore it in 2004. I'll have to get some pics of that scanned :)
I would love to see a a pic of Madi as Dumbo, I just know it's the cutest thing.

Thanks for coming over to read, I am happy that you are enjoying it.

The voices in your head are worry warts? That is sad, my voices are bumbling idiots, they get me into so much trouble, and they confuse me alot!

Reese wanted to be a princess for Halloween one year, we went to Walmart to look for a dress. Everything looked cheap. So me being the hoarder and never throwing anything away, got out my dress from Snowfest. 1989 (I was voted Junior class snow queen and wore the dress maybe 45 minutes at the most) anyway, the dress was knee length and had spaghetti straps. I took the dress in on the sides. Hemmed the length a bit. Cut off the straps, I then pulled the front up and sewed it to the back. (it made it a little tight around her neck) I made lace sleeves and added lace to the skirt. You can't tell in the picture but I also sewed little gold rosettes all around the waist. I also had to tuck in and sew the chest area so it looked flat. She looked so cute. I'm sorry I don't have a close up, bu there it is.

I did the same thing a few years later with a homecoming dress of mine. She wanted to be a vampiress. I cinched in the waist. I didn't have to do anything to the length, it was a short dress on me, (Above the knees) but it fit her perfectly length wise.It was spaghetti straps, I cut those off and added black velvet for the shoulders and spider web lace as sleeves, I also made a purple velvet cape to go with it. A little make up and crimped hair, she made the coolest vampire lady.

I liked the way this costume turned out better then the princess costume.

:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Oh my goodness did I crack up when I read that!!!! Christmas Vacation is by far our favorite of the National Lampoon's. LOL we watched it not too long ago, you know to get in the spirit!

You are so crafty, I love those costumes. I have a sewing machine but I should really get more oriented with it and figure out how to really do things with it. I like the Vampiress better too.

Ty...I have not had the chance to get on here for several days...bad timing because you took off!!! Jeez!
I will have to sum everything up!
The money jar is cute!
Love the shirts...got a cute Kermit one myself!
Love the Halloween costumes! Super thrifty and crafty of you!
The ADR cards are also a great idea!
Loving everything!
If I missed commenting on anything, I'm sorry! Everything looks great though!

I am lovin the costumes you came up with for Reese. You are so talented!

I am going to school to be an Administrative Assistant. Believe it or not, they weren't offering classes for porn star! I was bummed. I'm also busy walking. I've been walking a 3 mile trail and my treadmill everyday. Perky butt is what I'm going for.

Mini trip?? Next year?? Hmmmmmmmm. I'm pretty sure I will be needing/deserving a vacation by then.

Those costumes are brilliant Ty!! I wish I was as crafty as you, lord only knows what my attempt would look like :lmao: The vampire one is my fave, but I'm biased because I love vampire stuff

Great job crafty momma!!! I wish I had stuff to rework for Madi, but sadly (or maybe not...) I have moved too much for stuff to resurface... maybe someday though, my mum may have it hanging around somewhere

-------------------------------------------------------------

P.S. - nice fake baby, nut job :rotfl2:

you know I'm just teasing, but really :lmao:

You are so creative, Ty! Love the costumes.
Thank you. some would call it creative, others might call it cheap. Either wy it worked for us.

:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

It's been our tradition for years now to watch Christmas Vacation every Christmas Eve. Remember the part during their dinner, Eddy takes a huge spoonfull of sweet potatos, takes a bite from the serving spoon, nods his head and then dumps it on his plate? DH likes to reenact that part. And as soon as we pull the turkey out of the oven, one of us always says, "Save the neck for me Clark"

I have a sewing machine and a surger, but I always do all my sewing by hand. I think it's easier, I can't load a bobbin to save my life!!!

Thank you, I have no life right now, so I post all the time. Poor me! :guilty:

Thank you. I knew holding onto those dresses would some day pay off.

No porn star classes? Not even at Porn University? That's awful cause you do have the greatest porn star name, it's a shame to waste it:sad2: What was your name again? Roxy Leatherthong? I remember mine is Chesty Glittertush because I still go by that. I even legally changed it and have it on my drivers licence:lmao: Why would you want to be a porn star anyway? What, you're too good to just be a stripper?:snooty:

OK, so you might need/deserve a trip to Disney? Cause I was thinking Sept/Oct. Could this be the beginning of something? Oh I hope, I hope!!! We own Disney!!! We could reinvent ourselves. You know like frozen floater #7. God I hope you remember that and aren't thinking that I am talking about chilly poop!

I like Vampire stuff too. We're so much alike, I wonder if we're related?:confused3

you know I'm just teasing, but really :lmao:
I've had friends go and buy prom dresses at yard sales or the Salvation Army just so I could make their daughters a costume. It was fun, I miss those days. But maybe in a few years that might be something you can try with Madi.

Of course I know you're only teasing me about my fake baby, :rotfl: I get teased alot at home, especially when I change his outfit.

I watched a show on the BBC called my fake baby, talk about nut jobs, one lady even went so far as to carry fake formula, her and her husband took it to the aquarium and got family pictures made. My fake baby lays on the bed in the spare room. He only comes out when my friend and I "advertise."

Let me explain my fake baby,
noaha.jpg

his name is Noah. A friend of mine makes them. I have always wanted one but never had that kind of money to buy one ( my funds are always wrapped up in Disney) So one day after admiring another one of her creations, she told me that if I bought the parts she would walk me through step by step on how to make one for myself.

It takes a couple days because of all the steps involved. when he was done I loved it so much, and had so much fun doing it, that I asked if I could make one for my sister Bo for Christmas. So again she walked me through it. and I made Gracie

alldis004.jpg

Then I wanted to make one for my mother for Christmas. I used a different mold this time. And I made Ivy Elizabeth

[My Granma loves baby dolls, so I asked if I could make one more, and really my friend was so nice to allow me to do this, because after all this is her business and she wasn't making any money off of me. But she let me make Rose, Rose is a premie. Which is perfect for my tiny 4ft 11in Granma.[

I wish I lived close to you. It would be an absolute hoot to borrow one and mess with DBF on April Fool's Day. :lmao:

But this baby below is by far the prettiest one I ever made.

You could definately drive in the HOV lanes with those babies, they look so real!! I know I'm a little late with the x-mas decorations in the south comment, but I think the reason they go all out down in the south is that they don't have to freeze their hineys off taking down the decorations in Jan. If it was still 70 degrees here in Jan I'd put out alot more stuff too!
