Dec 09 PTR The Molecular change is in full swing. pg40 the pink puppy

Okay, that teacher totally pissed ME off!! First of all, Reese is right. I don't think I have used any of the math I ever learned besides addition, subtraction, simple multiplication and simple division. And I hate to say it, but for anything more than that (and even sometime when i don't want to use my brain for things i hate like math) HELLO CALCULATOR. And who is this teacher to tell you what you should be doing for your children at home!?!?! LOL :lmao: as a person who also has a mouth that gets them in trouble I just had a flash forward to me and Greg sitting in a classroom while I flip out and a nameless teacher.

And she obviously does not know the joys of Disney, because if she did she would understand why you would want to go to Disney without your children.

OK rant over. Sorry but I just felt like that teacher was very snotty to you!! I'm protective of my DIS friends!!
Thanks DIS friend!:flower3:
I never really got math, it was always my worst subject, Reese follows me in that, Jim however is a Math whiz.

I've never had a teacher chastize for NOT pulling my kid out of school, normally it's the other way around. Neither of my kids wanted to go this time, hello? Am I supposed to not go because they don't want to?

I can understand the teacher being upset over purposely teaching my kids fuzzy math, it is a joke, kind of, I don't really tell them to use my math method, they just know it's how I make the numbers work for me.:lmao:

Teacher's just don't understand! I too have never (to my knowledge) used any type of algebra outside of school. And heck ya you're going to Disney sans kids! Teachers... :sad2:
I have never needed Algebra, I don't get why letters have to be mixed in with numbers:confused3 I'm sure other people have needed it, just not me. Calculaters work great, so do fingers.
I really didn't have any guilt about going without the kids until the teacher made her comment, but the kids reassured me at dinner that they were fine with me going. (I think that they think they're going to get away with alot more when Kent is left in charge)

I finally made it over here! I am enjoying reading your PTR thus far. Baby Lazz just melted my heart. She is absolutely adorable. BTW, I croc too. As a teacher, I always wondered what the parent was thinking when I called home. Thanks for the insight.;)
Thank you, Jazz is my hero, she's such a peach.
Yup, teachers still intimidate me. Especially math teachers. I'm always afraid they are going to give me a math equation.
YAY! a fellow crocer. Thanks for coming over to hang out on this PTR. THe trip is so close yet still so far away. It's nice to have people to chat with about it.

I called my TA today and made my final payment to Disney as well as my mothers payment. Marzi's check just came yesterday so once it's cleared I will make her final payment, and Janis is calling to make hers.
It was scary having to deduct those numbers from my Disney account, it dwindled down fast, now all I can do is just keep throwing in every penny I can until it's time to go. I do have my change jar that I have been adding to everyday since last Feb. Those nickels, dime and quarters add up fast. Every couple weeks I roll the change so I don't have a huge bundle to roll at the last minute. I am up to $77.75 so far. I am hoping to at least have an even $100. to take to the bank. I will have more spending money then that, it's just kind of an extra savings. For a while I was putting singles in there too. If I got back $1.25 in change instead of just adding the quarter I'd add the whole dollar, but one or both of the kids always need $$$$$ for something and I'd have to fish out my singles.

I got bored one day, or maybe I was excited, but I added stickers to the jar.

I got started on making our ADR cards, I want everyone in the party to have our ADR info, just in case. It's pocket size and laminated, the front is our restaraunt, time and ressie # info.
zz007.jpg

I personalized them with each persons name on the back. It also gave me an excuse to get out my Disney stamp set.

I have made a park bag purchase, I got one for my mother as well. They went down in price at my store. I have an employee discount, %20 off total purchase but sometimes the coupons are a better deal, the bag was $19.99 marked down to $14.99. (I got 2) I had a coupon $10.00 off a purchase of $30.00 or more, which saved me $2.00 more than if I used my employee discount. Now that is actual math, not fuzzy math. Who's proud of me?
zz004.jpg

It's the Buxtan, as seen on T.V. there's room for the sink in there.

zz005.jpg

I plan to use this tote as one of my carryons, I got it on my first DIsney trip, it was $10.00 with a purchase of $50.00 or more. I had no trouble doing that. On my last trip the give away with purhase was a blanket with a snowman wearing Mickey ears, I didn't take the deal and I kick myself for it all the time. Any way, This will act as a purse/carryon bag for the plane, I will probably just carry my Buxtan bag inside of it. plus I am carrying on a little suitcase too. I like to have a change of clothes, jammies and some personal items in a carry on with me, just incase my luggage is late getting to me. Never happened before (Knock on wood)
I'm having trouble with photobucket so I will post more later.

OMG! Your ADR cards are wonderful, I'm super jealous! And the change jar is just too cute for words! :cutie:

I love the look of that bag. Can it be worn cross-body too? I may need to look into getting one of those. Although, some to think of it, I was really hoping to take something with enough space in the main compartment to stuff our jackets into if we get warm in the middle of the day. Hrmm... Decisions, decisions!!

oooo so much to comment on - it's been your turn to be a busy poster

I've been looking at the crocs website and they do have some nice looking ones on there actually - but are they as comfy as the dodgy looking one's that the question!! You know what i'm like for shopping so i'm bound to end up with a pair for this trip, so keep hitting me with the croc talk and i'm bound to give in :rolleyes1

OMG! That teacher would so have rubbed me up the wrong way! I loved maths at school and did well in it so I have no issues with believing that people need maths - heck, i'm training to be a bookkeeper so I know the importance of numbers, but to go on at you and reece like that is just uncalled for! A couple of my friends are teachers and they would never talk down to a parent like that - it makes me sooooo ANGRY when people talk down to others, about anything, doesnt matter what it is, you should never look down your nose at anyone. Hmmm ... think i'll shut up before I write a novel on here about this issue  ;)

That money box is too cute, I love it  I bought a snow white one from epcot on our last trip - its in our hall and if a coin is left somewhere in the house for more than 5 seconds, I swipe it for the jar :lmao: DH is always saying, 'Jo, have you seen the couple of pound I left on worktop, i'm sure i emptied my pockets over there' and I'm like 'no dear, are you sure you emptied them there' :rotfl2:

Those cards are brilliant!! Why does my brain not function like yours? You come up with so many fab things!! :worship:

WooHoo, bags bags bags - I love bags :yay: I get so excited about bags and purses, you can never have too many  I love your park bag, looks great and very handy with all the pockets. I like your carry on bag too - I'm currently considering using a tote bag to carry on aswell :confused3

I think all three of us are gonna be sportin' our Crocs by December, mark my words. :lmao:

 I'm here! For some reason I did not subscribe to your PTR :confused3 I could've sworn I did. I'm off to catch up now!

Edit:

After 2 hours of straight reading (at work no less) I have caught up! Phew. That whole teacher fiasco really irks me. Math is by far one of this silliest subjects the human race could ever invent. Yes, I understand we need the basic math skills to be able to add up what a Disney vacation would cost :lmao: BUT when you start getting into integers, parabolas, etc .. unless you plan on being some sort of crazy scientist or mathematician, when in heck are you going to use these things?!?!? Just my two cents on that.

LOVE your Disney money jar. I really need to make one for myself. It's amazing how much the little bits of change adds up here and there.

Hope your leg is healing rapidly. Wouldn't want you missing out on Disney! Although I'm sure you'd go even if you had to be in a wheelchair. When it comes to Disney, nothing would stop me!!!!

It's amazing how talented your children are. You should be one proud Mama :thumbsup2

I love the ADR cards and the Disney Change Jar! :thumbsup2

Good work!

These are my favorite crocs! (I take the jibbitz out when I am not at Disney) I wore these at Disney, but I want the mammoths. I like the look of the maryjanes, but they aren't very cushiony. I say GET THE CROCS!!!!!

My money jar is so awesome, it counts the money for me, all I have to do is put in the coins. I lift up couch cushions after DH has sat there and I always find coins. Found 55 cents today.:woohoo:

I love bags too, I will post pics of my 2 favorite bags pretty soon.

Ty - you are crazy funny and I'm adicted to your PTR! You had me laughing so hard. I can not wait to read more!!! Maybe we'll run into each other in December!

Thanks for your sweet comments on my PTR. You made my heart smile! :lovestruc

I've got the same Crocs! Wore em on my first Disney trip and boy was I grateful! I bought the pearl/pink mickey beach ones, I am looking at the Mammoth as well. I have read that they run small because of the lining, so I gotta find some locally and try em out first. Cabela's had a sale on adult Mammoth for $14.99, but I don't want to hassle with returns if they're too small/big. I'm sure we'll all keep each other posted on great deals and sizing as we learn them! :goodvibes

It's actually designed to be worn across the body. They now sell this bag at at walmart in the "as seen on T.V. section" Bed Bath and Beyond sells them too, and they always have coupons for that store.
If you wanted something similar but bigger, I would go with a bagallini, you can find them on line. They are like a back pack but a little smaller and only one strap that goes acros the chest, I thought about this bag as well but decided it was too big for me. I always just tie my jacket around my waist or I get a locker if it gets too warm for the jacket.

I think all three of us are gonna be sportin' our Crocs by December, mark my words. :lmao:
The croc brigade!!!

 I'd take bets on it
I'm wearing you down girl! I'm wearing you dooooown!!!!

Glad you're all caught up now. We get off topic here alo but it always comes back to Disney.

MATH! Phewey! I used to work as a receptionist for an appliance store, I had to do the bookeeping. I hated it!! Even with a calculator!

My leg is healing nicely. I'm supposed to be going to physical therapy 3x a week, but workmans comp hasn't gotten back to me yet on which place to, so I'm just resting, but doing great.

Thank you for your kind words about my kids. They amaze me with their talents.

I love the ADR cards and the Disney Change Jar! :thumbsup2

Good work!

Thank you so much. I got lot's of time on my hands, can't you tell?

Thank you. I would love to run into you at Disney. I'll be the one clinging to my red head BFF and sining farts songs!:lmao:
Glad my PTR could make you laugh, isn't laughing fun? I know it sounds dorky to say, but I love to laugh, and I try to make others laugh so they can share in the fun of laughing. That makes sense right?

We got the same crocs ! We;re twins!!!
The mammoths do run small, I was told to go up a size because of the lining. My sister has a pait and she said her feet sweat really bad when she doesn't wear socks with them, but she doesn't have that problem is she wears socks. I will probably wear them with the thin no show socks.
Cabellas has them for $14.99:scared1: I gotta get to cabellas. So far the cheapest I have seen them is at the croc shop at the mall in Lancaster. They 39.99 I have the cheap knock off ones from walmart, got them last season for a buck! I know, can't pass that up, they are not comfy like the real crocs, they're actually kind of hard, but they are still usefull in other areas, just not good enough for a Disney trip though.

This is my cute little fan that travels with me, it may be small but it puts out white noise like no other. The true test will beif it can drowned out my moms snoring!!
100_0085.jpg
I have it next to water bottle so you can see the tiny cuteness of it.

ker001.jpg

This is my favorite Kermit shirt. I got this shirt 15 years ago and it is still holding up. Because it's my favorite and I don't want to ruin it I don't wear it unless it's a special ocassion

ker002.jpg

THis is my next favorite shirt, I got this for a Disney trip I was supposed to take last year but it fell through.
[

And then of course my muppet band shirt! This is the only Disney shirt I am allowed to wear to any of my sons heavy metal shows. It was a compromise on both our parts.
watch-1.jpg

One of my favorite watches, I have minnie too, I will load it onto photo bucket tomorrow.
watch.jpg

Another watch.
these are a few of my must brings!

My cell phone holder
zz002-1.jpg
I don't know if I am going to bring it, my park bag has a cell phone holder on the strap and I think it will work better as far as not falling out because it has a strap to hold it in. My phone has never fallen out of it's holder but then again I am not usually marching all over the place and climbing in and out of rides.
Now these next two items are not coming to Disney with me, it's just a couple of my everyday bags. I love them, they are big enough to hold my entire agenda
zz001.jpg
This is the one I am currently using, but I am about to switch it out for this one.
zz006.jpg

This one seems a little more subdued in color, I like it for a fall bag.

I need to get me a fan like that! I can't sleep without a fan at home, for the white noise, and as such I also have trouble sleeping away from home since I don't usually think to bring a small fan. I'm going to look around for one before the trip!

And for what it's worth, I always have foam earplugs on-hand to drown out DBF's snoring. They're pink ones, and I feel pretty wearing them!

OMG! I am in :lovestruc with your kermit shirts!!! Especially the Kermit Clein one. I have two kermit shirts (wearing one right now actually) both of which I got in Disney. My first kermit shirt had little gems on it, which made out kermits face. But after a few washes, the gems have started falling off :sad1: Now Kermit looks a little toothless (not that he has any teeth....) but it definitely made me sad. So the next time I was at Disney, I bought another kermit shirt but without any design that would eventually fall off. I'm sure you've seen them around the park.

Love your Mickey bags too. You have more Mickey paraphernalia than my Mom (and that's saying something!) Love it :goodvibes

I remember that Kermit poster from days gone by

I think you should indulge us with where you found those super cute bags?

That fan is so cute and dinky :thumbsup2

I love all the items you posted in ur photos, I'm so jealous of those kermit shirts - they are adorable

I love both your bags, especially the second one with the gold straps - looks like a really comfy & snuggly bag, I love those!!
