Thanks DIS friend!Okay, that teacher totally pissed ME off!! First of all, Reese is right. I don't think I have used any of the math I ever learned besides addition, subtraction, simple multiplication and simple division. And I hate to say it, but for anything more than that (and even sometime when i don't want to use my brain for things i hate like math) HELLO CALCULATOR. And who is this teacher to tell you what you should be doing for your children at home!?!?! LOLas a person who also has a mouth that gets them in trouble I just had a flash forward to me and Greg sitting in a classroom while I flip out and a nameless teacher.
And she obviously does not know the joys of Disney, because if she did she would understand why you would want to go to Disney without your children.
OK rant over. Sorry but I just felt like that teacher was very snotty to you!! I'm protective of my DIS friends!!![]()

I never really got math, it was always my worst subject, Reese follows me in that, Jim however is a Math whiz.
I've never had a teacher chastize for NOT pulling my kid out of school, normally it's the other way around. Neither of my kids wanted to go this time, hello? Am I supposed to not go because they don't want to?
I can understand the teacher being upset over purposely teaching my kids fuzzy math, it is a joke, kind of, I don't really tell them to use my math method, they just know it's how I make the numbers work for me.

I have never needed Algebra, I don't get why letters have to be mixed in with numbersTeacher's just don't understand! I too have never (to my knowledge) used any type of algebra outside of school. And heck ya you're going to Disney sans kids! Teachers...![]()

I really didn't have any guilt about going without the kids until the teacher made her comment, but the kids reassured me at dinner that they were fine with me going. (I think that they think they're going to get away with alot more when Kent is left in charge)
Thank you, Jazz is my hero, she's such a peach.I finally made it over here! I am enjoying reading your PTR thus far. Baby Lazz just melted my heart. She is absolutely adorable. BTW, I croc too. As a teacher, I always wondered what the parent was thinking when I called home. Thanks for the insight.![]()
Yup, teachers still intimidate me. Especially math teachers. I'm always afraid they are going to give me a math equation.
YAY! a fellow crocer. Thanks for coming over to hang out on this PTR. THe trip is so close yet still so far away. It's nice to have people to chat with about it.
