Dec 09 PTR The Molecular change is in full swing. pg40 the pink puppy

I need to get me a fan like that! I can't sleep without a fan at home, for the white noise, and as such I also have trouble sleeping away from home since I don't usually think to bring a small fan. I'm going to look around for one before the trip!

And for what it's worth, I always have foam earplugs on-hand to drown out DBF's snoring. They're pink ones, and I feel pretty wearing them!
On my first trip to Disney I forgot to pack my fan, so I had to run out to walmart and buy one. Now I just keep my tiny fan in my little suitcase so I never forget it.

Ear plugs! Good idea I will invest in a pair. Pink also, because I too want to feel pretty.:cutie:

OMG! I am in :lovestruc with your kermit shirts!!! Especially the Kermit Clein one. I have two kermit shirts (wearing one right now actually) both of which I got in Disney. My first kermit shirt had little gems on it, which made out kermits face. But after a few washes, the gems have started falling off :sad1: Now Kermit looks a little toothless (not that he has any teeth....) but it definitely made me sad. So the next time I was at Disney, I bought another kermit shirt but without any design that would eventually fall off. I'm sure you've seen them around the park.

Love your Mickey bags too. You have more Mickey paraphernalia than my Mom (and that's saying something!) Love it :goodvibes
I will be looking to purchase another Kermit shirt as well. I'm hoping actually to maybe get a kermit hoodie. I have lots of Mickey shirts, but only posted my Kermits as he is my favorite. I have yet to find a Goofy shirt I like, he's my other favorite.

I have my scrapbook room devoted to Disney.

I remember that Kermit poster from days gone by

I think you should indulge us with where you found those super cute bags?
I remember the poster too, I was thrilled when I found the shirt. My ex hsband was with me and made fun of me for wanting it, he told me no, so when he went to the arcade (yet he said I was childish for wanting a Kermit shirt) I went and got the shirt and used his credit card. I left him two weeks later. He called me at my parents house when he got the CC bill and demanded I pay him back. I said checks in the mail. It still is.:lmao:

I got the Mickey bags at Walmart. I later found a Kermit one just like the first mickey one, I didn't get it that day, when I went back they were all gone. But Walmart carries alot of Disney purses now.

They really do, I had a Tinkerbell :tinker: one for the longest time. I carried that thing until it literally fell apart. ;)

You guys are getting me soooo excited about .... wait for it .....

Oh, they most certainly do. :goodvibes I never go shopping without grabbing one! I looooove Walmart, and usually where there's a Walmart, there's a dollar tree near-by. :rotfl:

WOOOHOOOO   Disney bargains here I come :woohoo:
The main problem I'm currently finding with Walmart's Disney merchandise is that everything I'm seeing is either Tinkerbell or the Princesses, or worst case Hannah Montana and Jonas Brothers. :scared1: Which is all well and fine, HOWEVER... Nothing that would work for DBF's surprise gift bag. :sad2:

Wow! I feel like I missed a century worth of stuff!! I totally love all your Muppet shirts!!! The Muppet's rock!!! I think my favorite is the Muppet Band ****. Anyway, you've inspired me to share my Disney loot. Some is new, most are from past trips, but they are all so cool!!

And your purses are too cute!! Isn't it exciting, it's almost time to start packing!! It's so close now it's just so darn impossible to not just up and down with excitement!!

:lmao: love the bit about the check in the mail :lmao:

I thought the first bag looked familiar, haven't seen the gold one though! Good finds! :thumbsup2

Silly me, I forgot to tell you hot much I love you Disney money jar!!! LOL we use one that says "Wedding Fund" it's functional but yours is much more festive!!!

They had a real cute tinkerbell one like the orange/yellow mickey one I got, but hers was purple and pinks. It wouldn't match anything I have. not that I need to be matchy match, I just prefer browns and greens

Gosh! I wish I could be there for your first trip to Walmart. You're going to be in awe. Especially if it's a super walmart. Walmart usually carries Disney shirts, in the winter they carry Disney fleece hoodies.

Oh, they most certainly do. :goodvibes I never go shopping without grabbing one! I looooove Walmart, and usually where there's a Walmart, there's a dollar tree near-by. :rotfl:
Yup, normally Walmart is right next door or in the same parking lot as the dollar tree.

WOOOHOOOO   Disney bargains here I come :woohoo:
Have fun! Try not to hyperventilate.

True, I can handle Hannah Montana, but I don't want any of her merchandise, the Jonas brothers make me feel ill. I got my daughter a Hannah Montana ink pen two years, (santa put it in her stocking) she never used it, so I took it. One day I am at church and I wanted to write a check out for tithing. I pushed the pen head and it starts singing, "Nobody's perfect, you live and you learn it." OMG! I was never so embarrased in my life.

I think you left the "R" out when you were trying to spell shirt and the censors caught it:lmao::lmao:

Almost time to start packing?:confused3:rolleyes1 So if someone has already started their packing that would make them a little....obsessive maybe?:confused3

:lmao: love the bit about the check in the mail :lmao:

Yup, check's in the mail. It took me 4 years and 8 months to grow a pair and finally rebell.
The gold purse is from a few summers ago, the other one I just got this past summer. Still wish I would have gotten the Kermit one though.

My mom loved my Disney money jar, she said hers was just a plain old glass jar, I offered her stickers to decorate it, but she said no. Each time you add change to it, it's still exciting though right, with every clink in the jar the coin makes it's a coin more for Disney.

Seeing as how it is October, I thought I would start posting pictures here and there of Halloween costumes past.
Around here, being so far out in the country we have to drive into town for trick or treating, and trick or treating isn't always on the 31st, it's always the Saturday before Halloween, but one time it was November 1st because Halloween fell on a Friday. And other towns do have it on the 31st, the mall has it on The thursday before Halloween, and I think Windsor has theirs on a Wednesday. So some times, we would go trick or treating 3 times in a week. (WE have a right to free candy) Reese would always change costumes, Jim always stayed true to what he chose though.
minniemo.jpg

How cute is Reese as Minnie Mouse. I actually found this costume at a yard sale for $2.00 This was way before my Disney obsession started though, I ended up giving the costume away a few years later, now I wish I had kept it for Jazzlynn.

Please everyone, if you have a costume youwould like to share feel free to post it here. I would love it.

I was trying to figure out what that was!! :rotfl2: You are absolutely right. I usually try to quickly proof read whatever I post, that's the English major in me. Oh well!!

Anyway if I could seriously get away with the whole starting to pack thing, I would!! I sort of have a "to pack" pile in the spare closet. Mostly my Disney stuff that I want to bring and my toiletries and such. But you have inspired me to share my must bring Disney wares.

I love that costume!!! How cute does Reese look!?!?! Halloween was always big for us as my uncle owned a costume shop. I've been everything from a pumpkin to a Cleopatra. Our costumes from our 2006 trip were form his store. I was a flapper girl and Greg was Austin Powers. I'll have to find a picture to post, everyone loved Greg's costume, LOL he made a good Austin Powers!!

Madilynnsmomma- That is a genius costume!!! I love home made costume inventions.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

My son used to always throw something, together at the last minute. Starting in 7th grade he said he was done with trick or treating, then changed his mind, I didn't have a costume for him, so he grabbed his bright orange hunting hoodie, put it on, pulled up the hat and drew in the draw strings so only his eyes showed. He went as Kenny from south park. A lady giving out candy told him she only gives to kids in costume he told her, "I'm, Kenny." She was like "Ok, Kenny, I only give to kids in costume." Then he shouts "Oh my God, They killed Kenny." She explodes with laughter and gave him extra candy. It wasn't a great costume, it was simple, but it worked and he got alot of laughs that night.

The quality of this picture isn't that great, but it gives you an idea. And Reese just threw on a white sweat suit, red scarf, gave herself an orange nose and a coal smile, voila! she was a snowman.

Silly girl! Cursing on my PTR:lmao:

I haven't "majorly" packed yet, but like summer things, mainly capris, I went ahead and packed those, as well as some toiletries, camera batteries, just small stuff, but I get all excited everytime I look at my suitcase. I don't know what I was thinking this evening when I gave my suitcase a pat and said soon you'll be at Disney World my friend. (totally out of character for me:rolleyes1) DH just said "You aint right."

I just love my mini Reese, and I know if I still had the costume it would still fit her, it was a toddler size 4 and believe it or not, reese can still wear a toddler 4. We only know this because we were sifting through the attic (I know I have a rain poncho up there and refuse to buy another one) We came across her favoite skirt and sweater from Kindergarden, she tried it on to be funny and OMG it still fit, her arms were too long for it, and the skirt was pretty mini, but it wasn't even a tight fit. Reese has always been tiny though.

Please post any halloween pics you got. I would love to see them. Had to of been great having an uncle that owns a costume store. 1 year I was invited to a halloween party, everything was picked through, I could either go as french fries, or try and make something. So I got a white sweat suit, sewed ears on the hood and went as snoopy, DH went as Charlie Brown, he just wore black jeans and I got him a yellow shirt and painted the zigzag stripe on it. We won for originality. Eveyone won for something.

It feels like fall, it smells like fall, it's starting to look like fall. I love fall.
I have another pic to post. Can't seem to help myself, I really should save some for later in case I run out of stuff to talk about... Yea, I laughed when I said that, did you laugh when you read it? I'll never run out of stuff to talk about.

So this pic has a story. (don't they all though?) We were living in Dexhiem Germany and my Dad's tour was up, so we ship the car to New Jersey 6 weeks before we fly into New York, And when we arrive, Dad sets us up in a hotel then he takes off to get our car. Our next duty sation was Ft. Bliss Texas. We were going to drive it. (We always do) We were going to be on the road for Halloween night, so the plan was to just stop at a neighborhood and trick or treat then maybe get a hotel My Grandma had made my sister and I bicentential costumes (it was 1976) Mom packed the costumes in her suitcase so we would have them for Halloween. On the way though we stopped at one of my Dad's Army buddies for a few days. I remember "Mike" playing hid-n-go seek with Bo and I, Mike hid me on the top shelf of a closet, he was so cool. (Just a little ramble there) Any way, we visit for a couple nights and then take off early one morning. We made it maybe 10 minutes down the road when we got into a car accident, our car was sanwhiched in between 2 others, the windows just popped out of the sucker and it shrank like an accordian. The only injury was Bo, her tooth went through her lip. The car was totaled. So Mike came and got us and took us back to his house. I was so excited that we were going to be there for Halloween. He even took us out trick or treating for an hour then switched candy duty with my parents.
That is what I think of when I see this costume. Then one day after moving into this house a package comes from my mom, and it's the costume I wore when I was 4. I couldn't believe she had saved it, so of course, Reese wore it one year.

Reese is the pic on top. See how happy I was? Aside from the car accident it was a great fall. We ended up with a station wagon after that. My parents each drove one to Mikes and asked me and Bo's opinion, we settled on the brown one. Funny though, the other one was green with a wood panel stripe, We almost had a car that looked like the one from National Lampoons Vacation.

Oh, my goodness, I am way behind. I just have to say I am so happy Marzi can go. How great! I will catch up on the rest!

I love hearing your Marzi and Ty stories. They crack me up! It was so great being a child! Which was like, only yesterday!!!

You get to go back again next year? How lucky for you. Now I'm really jealous. It will be so much fun with your neices/nephew. Little ones to spoil the crap out of. Yaaaaay!

I loved those Kermit tees. Especially the underwear one. VERY CHIC!

How are you liking Survivor? I am so addicted to that show. If I'm not home I literally start panicking. That Russell guy needs his butt kicked.

Good luck on the crocs. I remember us having the dilema the last time we went. I choose comfy over cute any day.

Hey, remember that one time, at Disney World, when you wore your slippers to the park and your children never told you??

See, it was in your destiny!! I think if you had said that you actually picked the green with the wood panel I would have sworn you were related to the Griswold's (you know between the car and the European Vacation pictures!! :lmao:

I love the Bicentennial costumes! LOL why does your sister look so bummed? I could definitely tell you were happy to be staying! The fall is my favorite time of year too. In my eyes the whole fall/winter holidays just were meant to be together. Starting with Halloween and then ending with Christmas, it just seems right that I can't go right from one set of decorations to the other. I seriously wanted to have a masquerade theme for our wedding, but alas I quickly lost that fight too. But I did get my fall theme with the girl's dresses, the flowers and the colors.

LOVED the pics of your Disney goodies and Halloween costumes. :goodvibes
