You bet it does, and thank you so much for your enthusiasm, also thank you for cheering me up when I thought Marzi might not be going.

You can never get your firsts back. Like the first time I ever set foot on Disney property, the surealness of it all, the happy tears that fell, from getting my first view of the pin pool from our room to my first look at the castle. I can't go back and feel the firsts again, I can go back as many times as I want, but the Firsts are over. I am glad I got to have those firsts with my family, the memories are so special. I can relive the memory of those first though, and I want to share them with you.

The first time we rode RnRC. The line itself was fun, there is just something about watching "air" guitartists do there thing, and nothing brings out the air guitarist better then Aerosmith. Kent loosened up in this line, we are people watchers, a game the whole family can play, we always have a comment (only loud enough for our ears). This ride demands excitement from it's riders, does Disney how to build up the moment or what?

I was not prepared to be shot out into the abyss, but it kept me coming back for more. And Jim had no time to cover his face for this pic.;)

Goofy's Barnstormer was not one of my favorite rides, (it's too short to really even be considered a ride in my book) But Kent did an awesome Goofy impression and I loved it.
momndadatdisney.jpg

I hate water rides, water always manages to fly sideways and hit me in the ear at a 100mph. But Splash Mountain is a great memory, I wasn't on it in this picture, Jim and Reese are in the front row. I rode this later at EMH with the kids, and the music took me back to my childhood. My Papa had taken me to see Song of the South. My kids never got to meet my Papa, he passed when I was 12. I shared stories about my Papa with the kids, I felt so close to him while I was talking about him. My memories of Papa are not vague at all, even though I was so young when he went home to heaven, he made such a strong impression on me, his words were gold, I can still feel his hugs and smell his after shave, He used to say "C'mere Ty, and let your Papa munkst you up, or C'mon and give me a hum tail snorter." That was just his way of asking for a hug or kiss. Anyway, back on topic here, this ride gave me a chance to help my kids connect to my papa, they loved the papa stories so much that when the ride was over, and there wasn't a line the CM's asked us if we'd like to go again, the kids said "Yea, and you can tell us more Papa stories"
jam043.jpg

I loved Dinosour, it was the one ride that really had an element of major surprise for me. Can't you tell by the picture? (first row, far right) This whole AK day was just Reese and I, we rode EE as well, the picture stunk, but we really like Dinosour. It will always be an AK favorite of mine.
dino.jpg

I didn't so much care for Star Tours as I did for the photo opp at the end, Reese and I loved doing this so much, and hey check out my abs!!! Yea, that is totally my real body:rolleyes1 Reese loves this picture because she actually looks tall in it. Jim and Kent Loved the ride, and all day they did the backwards Yoda talk, "Thirtsty I am, to get a drink I am going." When I asked Kent to buy me the picture, he said, "Too expensive it is, empty my wallet it will." Anytime Kent can get into the spirit of things is a great memory for me. Oh and obviously he forked out the money for the pic.

Below, it looks like Kent is ticked off in this picture, but he's not, he was in character. One of his favorite lines fron toy story 2 is when Mrs. Potato head says to Mr. Potato Head, "I packed your angry eyes just in case" So here Kent has put on his angry eyes. And anytime he has to pack for anything he always says. "I have to remember to pack my angry eyes just incase.":lmao:
angry.jpg

Epcot! It was hot that day. I set Reese up for a big Splash, she has told me since that she knew what would happen if she stood there, she was just playing along for my sake, how sweet. I just loved the moment, and the look on her face.

I'm realizing I have way too many favorites to post it all here, it would end up just being a TR, I will post my very first trip report titled, three decades of waiting and if you feel up to it, you can read it. I am actually going to go back and read it this weekend, sometimes it's nice to visit the past.

Lifted my spirits it did! And renewed my faith in the power of prayer. I didn't pray that Marzi could go, I prayed for God's will, and evidently it is his will that Marzi and I reunite at Disney.

Let me know how you like my old TR. You will be able to tell what a newbie I was, I didn't reserach anything for that trip. Didn't know it was a must in order to get the most out of your stay.

Thank you. I am dying with excitement as well. I had pretty much talked myself into her not going so the disapointment wouldn't be over whelming when I found out for sure, but then like music to my ears Marzi said they hired 3 new nurses this week and they should be trained in time for her to leave for Disney. Her boss sounds like an awesome guy, He really wanted her to be able to take this trip.

Here's what you do about the random people in your ride photos, introduce yourself to them, just a quick turn around to say Hi, and a quick tap on the shoulder to the person in front of you, say hi. Then there you go, no more random people, just new friends:hug:

I loved your "mini past-trip report" - the pictures were priceless!

:lmao: This just cracked me up. Not sure why, but I was just dying and DH is looking at me like a crazy person. I've been crafting all day, and having a glass of wine, or more that "a", but DH always says I could strike up a conversion with a piece of ply wood and it is so true. I personally just love the looks on peoples faces when they get them at that perfect spot on the ride!!

Where as I have never had a conversation with a piece of plywood, I tend to not know a stranger. Dh hates that about me, I talk to everyone.

Just thinking about what my 1st day at Disney will be like, trying to come up with some sort of plan.
My flight gets in at 9:10am, the flight Marzi is looking at gets in at 9:12am, and Mom and Janis get in at 9:40am.

I was thinking Marzi and I could meet by the monorail and head down to ME together, get us all checked in and then we just wait for Mom and J. Once they show up we will get on the bus and go to Pop together, if my plans go according to how I want them to, we should be on the bus no later than noon and at Pop around 1:00pm. I'm really guessing about the time here, should I allow more time to get to Pop, say 2:00pm or do you think 1 is a good guestimation?

If we can get to MK by 4:00pm that still gives us 2 1/2 hours to hit a few rides. I don't know where I want to start out at though, I'm stuck between Haunted Mansion being our first ride and POC.

We might just get something to eat right away since our ADR's are pretty late and more than likely none of us will have had anything to eat since morning. I'm thinking Pecos Bill for our first CS meal. So basically we will pass right by POC on the way to Pecos Bill and that answers the question of what shall we ride first.

Since it is a MVMCP night I want to be out of the park by 6:30 so that we are not stuck in a crowd waiting for a bus, or in our case the boat to WL for our 7:55pm ADR's at Whispering Canyon, think I have given us enough time to make the hop? Should I allow more time?

I also have to allow time to meet JoJo1980 for a little Dis meet:banana:(so excited for that)

It's going to be an early to bed night, we will have all been up since 2:00am, so after our meal we will probably take the boat back to MK and then hop on the Pop Century bus.

It's doesn't seem like such huge plans, but just the excitment of seeing Marzi after 25 years is going to take up alot of my energy level.

DH said I'm probably going to lose it on the plane and be a slobbering mess before I even land in Orlando. I hate to say it, but he is right, I'm having a hard time keeping it together now. I really need to get back to work so that I can keep my mind busy.

Going to bed now, talk at ya'll later.:upsidedow

So happy that Marzi can come! :cool1:

I think I will have to go back and read your first TR. It was so fun living vicariously through your family!

Sounds like a busy, wonderful first day!

I am so happy for you that Marzi is coming!!!! That is awesome! It really will be a dream trip! You guys will probably take that half hour in between her plane and your mom's plane in one great big hug!!!! Congrats on that! :dance3:

I think you will be at POP before 1:00. I think you will be on the ME bus by 10:30 or 11:00.

I'm right there with you on your excitement, but you have the added excitement of seeing Marzi!! I'm so happy for you that she can go!! When you were talking about your flights I had an image in my mind of you and Marzi having one of those dramatic airport moments where you run towards each other, drop your bags and hug each other!!

We're also taking ME, and land around 9:30, but I was hoping to make it to the MK for the 3:00 parade. I didn't realize the whole ME process may take that long. DH and I have never used it before. Well we'll see how it goes. At that point I will have relinquished my controlling power and whatever will be will be.

So damn excited for all of us!!

I think that everything looks great and sounds great. I am not a Disney-vet, so I am unsure of time as well, but I think they look alright.

I can see you on the flight to Orlando now: "Attendants please prep cabin for decent." "Ladies & Gentlemen, this is your Captain speaking. I would like to take a moment to thank you all for flying with us today. I know your options are plentiful and we thank you for choosing us. We are now beginning our decent on Orlando, arriving 5 minutes ahead of schedule. The weather is a sunny 74 degrees and could not be a better day to be in Florida. Thanks again for flying _______(Air Tran?)." AND INSERT WATER WORKS!!!! <--- but those are tears of happiness and joy! The best kind :goodvibes

Thank you, I am so freakinexcited (yes, that's one word)
I went back and read my very first TR and I can't believe how much things have changed, for one I've been educated in most things Disney, and two, my kids have grown up so much.

I know, I'm looking forward to that half hour alone with Marzi just to get caught up. Not that we aren't caught up in eachothers lives, but get vaught up on hugs.

I know last time I used ME, the line for check in was pretty long, but I am hoping to be at Pop before 1:00, I always give myself more time then necessary, if we get in earlier that's awesome and we can get more done, eat lunch at a decent hour, if not, at least I planned for it then.

That's so funny that you would have that image, I see luggage flying and people jumping out of the way as we run towards eachother shouting eachothers names and bawling. When we were kids we used to do that for no apparent reason other then we thought it was funny, we would be at opposite sides of the driveway on roller skates, she'd say Ty, I'd say Marzi and then we would skate to eachother clasp hands and spin in circles till someone fell.

I can see you on the flight to Orlando now: "Attendants please prep cabin for decent." "Ladies & Gentlemen, this is your Captain speaking. I know, I already have tissues packed in my carryon. The tears will start at take off and continue through the flight and way until after I meet up with Marzi. People will probably think I'm crying cause I'm afraid to fly. Bu I will tell anyone who will listen all about Marzi and our 25 year reunion at the most magical place on earth, Ok we'll actually reunite at the airport which isn't that magical, but you know what I mean.

:dancer:<<---Seriously I hope my leg is better by Disney just so I can do this dance. OMG wouldn't that be a great halloween costume? The dancing smiley man. Only a Diser would get it though, I have to go to Disney for MNSSHP just so I can dress up like this.:lmao:

So I was talking to Mom about Disney, that's really all we talk about now, and if we aren't talking Disney at the moment it always leads to Disney. So I was telling her that I found some pocket tinker toys, and I picked them up to go in Marzi's gift bag, We were all about the tinker toys when we were kids, we had a tinker toy band, I know I already posted that info but just incase you forgot. SO this pocket tinker toy kit will bring on some laughs. I will post pictures as soon as I gather more stuff and upload them to photobucket. Anywhooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Ma and I got to talking about the silly stuff Marzi and I used to do, and then all of a sudden Ma gets all serious.
Ma: You're not going to keep every one awake are you?
Ty: No, why would you even ask that?
Ma: I just remember when Marzi would stay the night I would have to come into your room every 20 minutes and tell you two to settle down and go to bed.
Ty: Yeah, and you always felt you needed to tell us what time it was, (in my best Ma impression) "Girls, it's 2 in the morning go to bed." "Girls, it's almost 3 in the morning, go to bed."
Ma: And then the time I caught you girls doing flips onto the bed.

We always did flips onto the bed, we would pretend we were at the Olympics, competing in gymnastics, we would take turns being the judges.

We would also make up routines on our rollerskates, man we were the biggest dorks ever!!!:lmao: I can't even tell you how much I loved being around Marzi because she loved to "Imagine" and "Pretend" just as much as I did. Once we started JR high we were a little more reserved in public, but man, once we were home it was all crazy again.

I hope I'm not repeating myself, I'm kinda old that way, But Once Marzi took a fishing/camping trip to Cloudcroft New Mexico with my family. We laughed so much that weekend I literally pulled a stomache muscle.
We had gone into the community bathroom and were just playing around, we would wet tissue and throw it to the ceiling so it would stick, we were trying to spell our names, well a lady came in, so we acted like we were just cleaning up, the llady went into a stall to do her business, and one by one the tissues started falling, the lady starts yealling, "What the hell is going on? Stop throwing stuff at me." We told her the ceiling was falling, she screamed and came running out of the stall with her pants own. :scared1::rolleyes1:rotfl2: We ran out of there so fast. I was laughing so hard I could barely see. Later we were going to put plastic wrap over the toilet seats but my Dad caught us and nixed that idea.

For a while we decided fishing was cruel and we didn't want anybody to catch the poor innocent defensless fishies, so we hid in the woods and every time this guy would cast out his line we would throw rocks into the lake to scare away the fish and save their lives.

Later we didn't care about the fish anymore, my Dad was cleaning his catch of the day, Marzi and I popped the eyes out of the fish (they were dead already) and wrapped them in empty candy wrappers and left them on a picnic bench, then we waited and watched for some poor unsuspecting soul, wouldn't you know it was the lady from the bathroom, she opened one up and then said "Haha, very funny." Of course Marzi and I are in the woods laughing our rears off.

Then we went looking for Bigfoot, but we got scared and quit that pretty quick.

When my DD was younger she used to ask me for Marzi stories at bed time, every now and then she'll ask for one, she's heard them all but she doesn't care. AndI don't mind telling them again and again, and now tht I found Marzi I can tell these stories without crying afterward because I miss her so much.

I used to go outside at night and look up at the moon and wonder if Marzi was looking at the moon too. I would pray that she was safe and happy and that one day we'd meet again. ANd look now, we are meeting at DISNEY WORLD!!!!! :yay: My heads about to explode with excitement, I need to go calm down. Talk at ya more later!

:rotfl2: Oh my goodness, your camping story has me rolling!!!! :lmao: You should make yourself a countdown calendar. What day do you fly again? We're leaving on 12/3 from NY on a 6:30am flight. We'll land by 9:20, I'm curious how long the ME process will take. Well, the crystal ball is currently broken so we will just have to wait and see.

PS- I've made myself paranoid and I am currently on hold with Disney confirming that we do in fact have free dinning. Oh but I love the Disney music they play while you're on hold!!!

OH. MY. GOD! Ty, you are always there for a good laugh. Your camping stories are hilarious and the sleepovers remind me of my best friend, of 24 years (yes, if you do the math, we met when we were 1 and were fast friends!).

We had one of those old metal fold out beds (looked like a book when it was folded, the mattress was the pages) growing up that we used for guests (HA - life before the air mattress :rotfl2:). I had a twin and Courtney was sleeping on the fold out bed. We decided it would be fun to jump from my bed to the fold up bed. Now, we were probably 3, 4 years old TOPS - we were jumping back and forth, giving high-fives as we jumped past one another and then wouldn't you know it - Courtney jumped and landed smack dab in the middle of the bed. SPROING! SPROING! It was a Courtney Sandwich!!! She began to cry and my mother raced in to save the day - errr night... We laughed for years about how the fold out bed tried to eat her!!! I miss being young :(

Best friends are the best!!!
