Maybe we'll bump into each other in 2011! I am already planning (read: drilling it into Shamus' head) an escape wedding for us in Sept/Oct '11!!!

P.S. - your niece is adorable :) Lil Tink! :thumbsup2

Um....do you want my mailing address now for my invitation or should I wait until I see you in Decmeber?

This is my brother Matt and his baby girl Jazzlynn last Christmas. She was 7 months old then.

Ahhh, she's just precious! I think I remember in one of your other started pre-trips or TR's when you found out they were going to have a baby. Yay for two princesses! :cheer2: princess:

Awww, those pictures just made my heart melt. What a precious little angle!! I'm in that "baby mode" I guess you can call it, so all things baby or having to do with babies and kids just gives me the warm fuzzies!! I'm so glad to hear that you'll be going back. I'd love to join you in 2011, but we're hoping to have our own little angels by then. But, I'm working on DH for a quick trip in 2010, maybe April or May. We always go away in October and DH said that next year we wanted to relax and do tropical so we decided on Dominican Republic. Anyway when I saw the "Give a day, get a Disney day" promotion I told DH we should volunteer and do a quick 4 or 5 day trip. He said maybe, which means eventually yes!! Yay for two vacations next year!! Of course it depends on a lot of things, but we expect to be in a much better position next year! Only time will tell.

I am totally for the Disney destination wedding. I wanted to do a destination wedding and quickly lost that fight, but I think that would be absolutely magical!!

On my last trip the question was to croc or not to croc?:confused3 I croced and my feet thanked me profusely every day. There is no question of crocing for this trip. I will be fully croced. I will jibbit as well. If you're going to dress your feet up in clown shoes, you might as well go all the way.

Actually, I have pondered world peace, and the answer to saving humanity is send everyone at one point in their lives to Disney World. Have Mickey give them a hug. I do believe that would help alot! then hook them up with a Dole Whip float.:woohoo:

I will not croc. *arms akimbo* I will not give in. :lmao:
Seriously, I just can't. When I was in Italy, last year, I saw someone with white crocs on and thought "here?! really?!". LOL!

I bought sandals earlier this year that I just love - Nature Walk - so I'm set for staying anti-croc. :rotfl:

Though, I'm with ya on world peace, dole whip floats and Mickey hugs.

My brother called me and told me that he recieved a letter saying that Jazzlynn (his baby girl) qualifys for a wish in January 2011. Disney is one of the choices. He wanted to give me plenty of notice in case I wanted to arrange a trip while his little family is there. He doesn't know any details yet, he asked what would be a good time to go, so I gave him the least crowded calender dates. He is thinking end of Sept beginning of Oct in 2011.

My niece Jazzlynn is 16 months old now, sha has downs syndrome with TMD, at birth she had liver and kidney problems and had chemo therapy because there were leukemia cells present. She spent her first 3 months in the hospital. She is such a trooper though. She still has a feeding tube but is able to eat some baby food. But her body isn't able to absorb fat,(Thus the reason for a feeding tube still) she is so little, she weighs 14 pounds now and still wears size 6 months.

Goodness, what an angel. princess:
I'm sure her Disney trip will be the bestest in the world!! :wizard:

That would be totally cool if we bumped into eachother. :cool1: I'll be the one permanently attatched to 2 babies, although my sister will be fighting me for them.

Keep drilling sista :thumbsup2

A September disney wedding is totally the way to do it (What do you mean I'm biased :lmao: )
Oh no, you're not biased to September Disney weddings at all....When and where were you married again?:rolleyes1;)

Ty, I'm so happy you've got another trip to plan :yay: (am totally jealous though  ) Your brothers family looks so cute, and I wish them and the little princesses good luck with all their struggles :wizard:
I know, I can't wait until there are actual dates set for the trip, but for now Bo and I can do some other planning. We also told Matt and Lola that we would take the girls for a whole day if they wanted time alone together. Heck we'd take them the whole time, but Matt and Lola want to experience Disney with their girls, they said maybe one evening they would go to dinner and we could keep the girls then.

What a sweet story...you are amazing! You can make us laugh and cry all in the same page!!! But, your niece is real cute and you all have my well wishes for everything to go well for her!:hug: Spoil her while she is so little! As an aunt...it's your right and priviledge!
She is spoiled with attention I tell ya that. Matt has moved his family to Texas, but while they lived in Mi. My mom and sister would want her all the time, Lola was good at sharing her though. And Jazz is so much fun, you should have been their the day she discovered her fingers, it was a riot to watch.

Um....do you want my mailing address now for my invitation or should I wait until I see you in Decmeber?
Consider this your invitation now:flower3: why bother with formalities, right?

Ahhh, she's just precious! I think I remember in one of your other started pre-trips or TR's when you found out they were going to have a baby. Yay for two princesses! :cheer2: princess:
Thank you, Jazz is a gem. I do remember posting in my 2007 pretrip that Matt and Lola were expecting. Gosh it was so exciting, now there's going to be 2 babies. And he's such a good Daddy.

.I had my tubes tied after Reese was born, I couldn't fathom bringing another baby into that horrible marriage. (Never thought I would have the guts to divorce him either) Now that I've been with Kent for almost 15 years I go through spells of wanting a baby. It helps when others around me have babies, I can still look at baby stuff, and buy cute booties. I love babies! Good luck to you and your husband when you bring your little angels into the world. YOu'll be a good Mommy, I just know it. Until then enjoy all your vacations with eachother. The Dominican Republic. NICE! I would like to do the Give a day get a day, My sister Bo is big into volunteering so we will probably do something together this summer.

A disney wedding would be my dream, yes I know I'm already married, we did a quickie at the JOP, but I would love to renew my vows at Disney!

I will not croc. *arms akimbo* I will not give in. :lmao:

You don't have to croc. I don't make it a rule. I was anti croc forever, but sometimes comfort gives into fashion sense. If I can ever find a more fashionable shoe that gives me the comfort that crocs do, I will switch in a heart beat. I see people doing Disney in flip flops and my feet cringe. I love flip flops but I can't even walk the mall in them with out a blister forming.

Ty, I totally forgot to post these for you. I know you're a fellow Muppet lover so you'll enjoy these, they are the commercials for the Give a day get a Disney day promotion with the Muppets.

I would love to check these out, I'll have to wait to do that when I am at a friends house that doesn't have slow dial up like I do. I'll send the link to my sister though. Thanks.

I'm here, Ty! Subbing! :wave2:

And I agree with the flops, I figure people who can do WDW must have some serious callouses between those toes or something! :rotfl:

I have been debating to croc or not to croc myself. At home, I LIVE in sandals of some sort all year round. I very much dislike shoes that enclose my feet and don't let them breath at all, and I HATE my sneakers, but it's hard for me to fathom doing 14 hours of theme parking without them! I go and look at crocs online every couple weeks, find a pair I think I might like, and seriously consider clicking "Buy" but never do. :confused3

Hi, glad you joined in, it's nice to hear from you.
The older version of crocs had air holes, I think they did away with them now. I bought the flip flop crocs one year, I have worn them twice. They are comfy but they make me feel like I'm tilted forward. Still couldn't do DIsney in flip flops even if they are croc flops.
I don;t like my feet to be enclosed either, I like the open back that crocs provide. I once had a pair of open back sneakers, I wore holes into those por puppies, I would kill for another pair that comfy.
My daughter wears sandals and or flip flops up until the first snow of the year. I like warm cozy feet.

Not telling :rolleyes1  ;)

Awww bless, i'm sure they will be grateful for their night of freedom and that you'll have a lovely evening with the girls :yay: It's great that you've got sooo much to look forward too, now just work on getting better so that you can enjoy everything 100% :wizard:

:lmao: I've been follow the great croc debate and I have to tell you I am extremely interested to see the outcome. I have had my eye on a pair of the red and black fuzzy mickey crocs, but I have decided to forgo them this time around. I was actually proud about this decision as I approached it very grown up like. I already have quite a few pairs of very comfy, worn in sneakers that will be coming to Disney with me. Also, I got my Land's End sneakerish shoes for a real steal. I've been breaking them in, though it's not really required because they are very comfy and good for walking. So I already have plenty of options for foot wear and I really didn't NEED the crocs. Plus I'm not sure I see myself getting much use out of them after the trip. So for this trip I will do without crocs, but there are no promises for the next time!! Plus I figured that would be $40 I can buy something at Disney with.

But I am curious how this debate will end and you will have to tell me how they wear if you do end up getting them.

Mmmmmm....I know that I said that I could support the Croc cause and verify that they were comfy. BUT, I am an accessory gal! And, shoes...my NUMBER ONE love!!!!! So, I will probably bring one bag of shoes alone! We have to pay for each checked bag this time around, so someone has to skimp on something somewhere so mommy can have enough shoes! :rotfl2:
I will bring a pair of sneakers just because every now and then I just like the feeling of a nice cooshy sneaker tied around my foot. I will bring the Crocs (old and possibly new) for a bit of comfort. But, for the most part, I will be in various flip flops! I know several of you think they are not great for walking around the parks in. But, I never seem to have a problem (use them every WDW trip). I live in flip flops in the summer! It is killing me that we are having unseasonably super cold weather here right now and I can't wear them! So, they will for sure be broken out for the Disney vaca!!!! I was also thinking about bringing a pair of heels for a dinner or two?? Do you all think that is going overboard? I would never do a park inheels, but just a dinner? Anyway...the great shoe debate lingers on!!! LOL We are all going a bit nuts waiting I think!!!

I'm lethal when it comes to shoes - I always take too many pairs, I'm the same with clothes, I pack too much - Infact, I just generally pack too much of everything :rotfl2:

On our first disney trip I wore various flipflops, which were great until it rained & hubby had to hold me until the rain dried otherwise I would end up flat on my face  The last trip I wore flipflops but was getting sick of nearly slipping and breaking my neck and I got blisters this trip too, so I swapped to trainers - but I got water blisters with them?! Sooo, I'm still on the hunt for something that doesnt hurt, give blisters and that I can 'walk on water' in  Not asking much am I :lmao:

I'm probably going to try a mixture of shoes - flipflops, trainers and these other flat shoes that I bought, and then maybe crocs?! :confused3 Who knows what i'll end up in :rotfl2: I do have a gorgeous pair of silver sparkly flatties that I looove, but dont want to get them grubby trekking through the parks - so I think i'll save them for when we go to Ohana, maybe :confused3

Oh heck, now you've got me thinking about shoes and packing - I can't be stressing over things like that yet, not when there's lots of other things to stress about first :lmao:

Sorry Ty, you can have your thread back now - I totally forgot I was actually having this conversation out loud rather than in my head

LOL We are all going a bit nuts waiting I think!!!

:rotfl2:I totally think you're right!! I was actually thinking today about the various outfits I would bring. I also have been stalking the Photography Board looking at people past pictures of December and trying to get an idea of how cool it might be. LOL I'll be like "oo that person is in jean and a jacket" and then I'm like "oh man but the person next ti him in is shorts and a t-shirt" I really an getting myself a little crazy. Personally I hope we get like 65-70 type weather. That's my favorite, I really wasn't planning on bringing any shorts, just pants and t-shirts. Oh well I'll have to check the 10 day when it gets closer. My crystal ball is currently broken! Hey maybe I can contact Madame Leota in a seance!!

I know! And when this trip is over I won't get the Disney withdrawals because I know I have another trip coming!

.
The great croc debate:lmao: we should televise this:happytv: I need to take the podium and debate the importance of crocs, I know I said I don't make it a rule that everybody wear crocs, but maybe if I took it to congress:confused3
I will rebuttle your statement. You don't see getting much use out of them after your trip? They make great slippers!!! That's all I got to say about that. However I have no rebuttle for you saying you'll have an extra $40 to spend at Disney, you got me there.

Flip flops at Disney? You must have feet of steel. I just mention bringing flip flops to Disney and I get a blister.:lmao: You at least own crocs, that's good! I think to a nice dinner I would wear heals instead of crocs, but I am a light packer now that I have to pay for bagage, I can get buy on 2 pair of shoes. Plus I need all the extra room possible for all my hair products.

CROCS! GET SOME CROCS! If I can't persuade you JoJo then I am useless as a croc pusher!
I've tried various shoes, I always come back to the crocs. I am getting excited to buy my mammoths. I'm hoping to go Monday and get me a pair.:woohoo:

I was comfortable in jeans and a T-shirt when I went in Dec 2007, I did wear shorts a couple days but it wasn't necessary, I think this year I am going to bring alot of capris. there's no telling what the weather will do this time though, I have heard of it being so bitter cold that people were buying up hoodies and they were hard to get after a while. One guy said he was offered $50 for his jacket.

:lmao::lmao::lmao: I thought I was the only one doing stuff like that!! :rotfl2: I think i've taken it to the next step though because I was stalking people's videos on you tube :lmao:
You silly girl.:lmao:

I got a phone call from Reese's geometry teacher today. Even now when a teacher talks to me it takes me back to high school and I get nervous. According to her Reese was being insulant in class today. (why can't she use normal words, insulant? Am I even spelling that right?)

One of the other students wasn't "getting" The math problem, and Reese yelled out "It's math, there's nothing to get, it's not real, math is a myth, it's pretend, imaginary, you don't need it in the real world, just fuzz it.":teacher:

Teacher at first thought she said a bad word till Reese explained "Fuzzy Math" And told her that's how Mom puts a Disney trip together. She reworks the cost with fuzzy math, she's managed to apply it to everyday life now, even in her check book."

When I heard the teacher say fuzzy math I was like DOH:scared:

Then the teacher tells me that as Reese's parent I need to teach her proper math, it makes her job all that harder when they learn wrong at home.

I tried to play it off, "I don't really use Fuzzy math, that's a joke" (I just lied to a teacher)

She asked me when my trip was, I told her this Dec. She said she would get as much of Reese's work to her early so she doesn't fall behind. I told her Reese wasn't going. (Boy do I feel like mother of the year)
The teacher is like, "Oh, you're going to Disney without your children?":snooty:

Anyway I apologized for Reese, said I would talk to her, and then I got the heck off the phone.

Reese's mouth is always getting her in trouble. This time it got me in trouble too.

Okay, that teacher totally pissed ME off!! First of all, Reese is right. I don't think I have used any of the math I ever learned besides addition, subtraction, simple multiplication and simple division. And I hate to say it, but for anything more than that (and even sometime when i don't want to use my brain for things i hate like math) HELLO CALCULATOR. And who is this teacher to tell you what you should be doing for your children at home!?!?! LOL :lmao: as a person who also has a mouth that gets them in trouble I just had a flash forward to me and Greg sitting in a classroom while I flip out and a nameless teacher.

And she obviously does not know the joys of Disney, because if she did she would understand why you would want to go to Disney without your children.

OK rant over. Sorry but I just felt like that teacher was very snotty to you!! I'm protective of my DIS friends!!

Teacher's just don't understand! I too have never (to my knowledge) used any type of algebra outside of school. And heck ya you're going to Disney sans kids! Teachers... :sad2:

I finally made it over here! I am enjoying reading your PTR thus far. Baby Lazz just melted my heart. She is absolutely adorable. BTW, I croc too. As a teacher, I always wondered what the parent was thinking when I called home. Thanks for the insight.;)
