I totally do the clothing dance I'm soooo bad! Don't let me panic you on the taking more tops issue, I just have to be over prepared for everything DH on the otherhand will probably just take 9 I'm still trying to decide what sort of things to pack though, especially to cover the bottom half - jeans? Capris? Shorts? Skirts? Think this year my suitcase will be worse as i'm not too sure on the weather and you know i like to be prepared for anything I've made a note to take a jacket - will probably need it to wear to the airport overhere anyway, otherwise I'll end up looking like a snowman I'm in the mood to buy some disney clothes this time - never done it before so I'm thinking of getting myself a cute sweatshirt and a couple of tops while i'm there

I'm sorry to hear you were a little delayed with getting up and that you werent able to follow the plan of the hair brushing, I'm sure Mickey didnt mind - I imagine he used to all sorts of hair styles when it comes to ADR's - mine probably looked like marge simpsons ... a bit like this because I was getting so wound up

Late night tv sends me to sleep too ... passed out on the sofa last night and woke up at 1.30am in the dark and everyone has disappeared. Had to be up at 7am to get ready for my driving lesson ... so i'm kinda cranky this morning

My most recent obsession is with Supernatural, LOVE that show, loved it since the start and I'm hooked!! And I'm totally in the Team Padalecki Camp .... Yes, give lost another go. I think the show is genius.

I was obsessed with Buffy too, I seem to latch onto shows after they become reruns or end up on DVD, Dawsons Creek was another show I couldn't live without. Have you ever seen Roswell?

My guilty pleasure was Friday Night Lights, I love movies and shows about football.

Alas, another Lost fan. I just finished the 8th episode of the 4th season and I'm like "What the quad?" I spent alot of time doing this It kinda gripes my tri, Will I ever find out what the black smoke monster is, man made? Just another Island Quirk? Is Jacob invisible or a ghost? seriously, WHAT THE QUAD?

The guy at Hollywood video said season 5 won't be out on DVD for like 6 months.

I have read the Tru Blood series, I wanted to start watching it, but the video store never has it in. They need to start a waiting list, either that or I need to set up camp and wait for the person to return it so I can catch them at the door. I never had the desire to watch it when it was on HBO, I got rid of HBO then a friend got me started on the books, now I have to wait until October for the next book to come out.

Ok so here is what I got.

Dec 3. Whispering Canyon 7:55pm, it's later then what we wanted, but I really think we will all enjoy the meal. Afterdinner we'll probably take the bus to DTD.

Dec 4. Planet Hollywood 6:00pm , I did this last time, the only thing is it's a bit lous especially since Pop Warner is going on, the place was full of cheerleaders, I have no problem with that, I was cheerleading coach for years, and was one at that time, I just don't know if Mom is going to be alright with all the commotion, she's not fragile, but she does get migraines, I might bring ear plungs for her.

dec 5. Crystal, 11:30am, I had wanted lunch a little later in the day, but this will be fine, we'll use a CS credit later for dinner.

Dec 6. Sci-Fi 5:25 pm, this is perfect, although CM Wayne told me no drag racing allowed.

Dec 7. The storybook princess breakfast (Akershus) 8:15am Can't wait for this, plus there will be no excuse now to not ride Maelstrom.

Dec 8. 50's Primetime Cafe, 4:30pm we plan to do Fantasmic that night. So I picked an early dinner time.

Dec 9. Coral Reef 6:00pm a Birthday dinner for me, after dinner I'd like to relax with a Margarita in Mexico and watch Illumintions, this was the plan for my last trip but it feel through.

Dec 10. Liberty Tree, 5:05pm Our last TS meal and last night in Disney, What a nice way to end it huh?

Yup, CM Wayne gave me a list of rules with every ADR I made. No fishing at Coral reef either. I made all my ADR's by phone. My computer is so slow I don't do much online because of that.

Hope all goes well for you when you make you ADR's.

It was a gorgeous day today. I'm trying to get in as much pool time as possible before 1. I am cleared by my Dr. to go back to go back to work and 2. Summer ends.

So I am at the pool reading my Mousejunkies book for the 3rd time and DH comes out to hang with me for a bit.

DH: Do you ever get sick of DIsney?
Ty: Stupid question.
DH: Everything you do, say, read...it's all Disney Disney Disney
Ty: so, divorce me then.
DH: I'm not saying it's bad, just wierd. And who writes a book about Disney?
Ty: This guy does, (I hold up my book)
DH: it's got to grow old at some point, how can people just keep going back year after year.

Ty: Some people go a couple times a year.
DH: Why?
Ty: Why do you go trapping every year?
Dh: Trapping changes from year to year.
Ty: So does Disney.
DH: It's the same vacation over and over.
Ty: To some point it's the same, but the celebration changes. Your first time going is celebration alone, then for a birthday, then maybe a class trip, graduation, Disney wedding, Disneymoon, grand gathering,The first time you take your child. when the reason you're there changes so does the DIsney experience, it's what you make of it.

DH: I'm surprised Disney doesn't offer something that you can sign up to give birth at Disney.

Ty: oh man, that would be cool.

Ty: They could theme the birthing room.
DH: I was being sarcastic there.
Ty: They could have the fairy experience, with little glowing lights, or a princess, room with a fairy godmother to grant the child one wish, A forest them with little woodland animals, or even just Mickey and friends.

DH: Yea, and Goofy could be dressed like a DR. and deliver the baby.
Ty: Now you're just being gross.
DH: How is that gross?
Ty: No woman wants a big ole Disney character down there looking at her china.
DH: You thought it was a good idea.
Ty: Disney would be tasteful, the room would have a theme, it wouldn't be actual characters doing the procedure.

DH: Oh, well what about a haunted mansion scene?

DH: Or remember the shrinking thing? You know and we got shrunk.

DH: So everything could be really big in the room, and the mom would feel shrunken.
Ty: you're being stupid.
DH: Or mission space, or tower of terror.
Ty: just stop it.
DH: so only you can come up with themes, what about a pirate theme.
Ty: Well...I would'nt mind having Jack Sparrow down...
DH: (interupting me) now who's being gross.
Ty: You brought it up, it was your idea...Stupid!
DH: Well I'm going to call Disney and market my idea, and when I'm a millionaire don't think I'm going to give you a penny.

Ty:I would share with you, you're so mean.
DH: you called my idea stupid.
Ty: no, I called you stupid, but I didn't mean it, having your baby at Disney would be a neat experience, just without the pirates, ghosts, Dr. Goofy or plummeting 13 stories.

Dh:Ok then, so what are you going to spend your share of the millions on?
Ty: Do you really have to ask?
DH: No, I guess I don't

Here are the only 2 pictures that I have of me an Marzi, one were at picinic with the church youth group, and the other we are in Aspendale New Mexico snow tubing. I really wish I had more pictures of us.

I don't know why I have my shoes up to my ears, I was just a dork.

I remember this day like it were yesterday. We had so much fun tubing. Marzi was such a tiny thing that we could fit 3 people to a tube, two people side by side and the Marzi would lay across the back holding onto us. She almost always got bounced off half way down.

In the lodge we played ping pong for hours and drank hot chocolate till our bellies sloshed. That was an awesome day.

I didn't really "forget" to log in, my hubby was hit by a truck so I've been taking care of him so no time to be putzing around on the computer. Well, I hope this doesn't put any wrenches in your plans, did you know that the Sat morning that you have CP ressies is the morning that they are taping the Christmas special at MK? Just thought you might want to be prepaired for the hordes of people that will be there. Also, when you check in to Coral Reef ask if you can have a table up against the tank, it's really cool to have the fishies right there staring (in horror) at you eating one of them I wonder how long the wait list would be to have your baby at Disney? Would they give preferance to those that had their wedding there and concieved while at Disney???? Well, I'm glad you got the ressies you wanted. That's one less stress for the planning machine!

I sure hope your DH is doing ok. I will pray for a quick and as painless recovery as possible. That had to have been scary for both of you.

I learned of the taping last night from MYMuse's PTR. I completely forgot that they tape the first weekend in December. I will be posting about that nightmare in a little bit.

I am going to request a table by the tanks, it'll be my birthday so hopefully I will get my request, if not that's ok, I love Coral Reef and will just be happy that I get to be eating there on my birthday.

I honestly think that the people who "concieved" at Disney would have first booking priority. Followed by the Disney wedding folks. I told my sister about this and she said not to sound demented or dark but she was thinking DIsney funerals, A see through glass casket and a wicth handing out apples, she would say things like "I picked it myself." I think that is a bit off color, but then again.... people who have lived and breathed Disney just might go for something like that.

If you can get through with a party with no melt downs then that is a huge success. Can't wait to read about it on your PTR.

A little something about me here.
I don't want to call myself OCD, I prefer to say I have a few quirks.

I can't sit with my back to the door, this is mostly at restaurants, I need to see the comings and goings of everyone, I don't feel safe unless I can be in control that way.

When staying at a hotel I have to sleep in the bed farthest from the door and I have to face the door. I want the wall at my back.

And my biggest fear is huge crowds, little crowds I'm ok with, I can breathe through it. Mob crowds make me physically ill, and I've been known to break down and cry.

Why am I sharing this with you? Because I have made the monumental mistake of booking an ADR at MK on taping day. I don't know how I over looked this, I can't believe it slipped my mind. I know Disney has always taped the first weekend in Dec. On my last trip which was roughly Dec 4-something in 2007, taping day was on the 1st or 2nd, I missed it, so when I set this date this time I guess I thought it was safe?

When I read last night that Dec 5 was a taping day right away I went into a panic, I started hyperventilating, I opened my window and was hanging out trying to get some air. DH woke up and asked "You are'nt thinking on jumping are you?" I was bawling my eyes out, he jumps out of bed and comes to the window, asking what's wrong. I told him and at first the look on his face was, "Are you serious? you're crying over an ADR." But then I guess it registered with him what I was feeling, (He's been around when I have melted down in a crowd) He was helpful trying to calm me down. "Rearrange your park days and ADR's." so for 3 hours I tried to move things around in a way that wouldn't cause too much of a change, i came up with a new schedule and I would only have to change 3 days. I went to bed at 4:30am with my alarm set for 6:50am.

All night I kept having wierd dreams, I had watched 4 episodes of lost and it seemed to incorporate into my dreams about ADR's. Sayid kept telling me the importance of getting the ADR's

Sayid: Ty, you have to make these ADR's everyone is counting on you for our survival.

John Lock: Hello Ty.

Ty: What are you doing here?

Lock: I'm stopping you from making your ADR's.

Ty: Why?

Ben: The island doesn't want you to make them.

Then Lock broke my Mickey phone, he ripped the head off and threw it down the hill, I chased after it and found a black bag, Sayid jumped out of it and he had the Mickey head.

Sayid: Quick, make the call.

There was a keypad on the head and it was all in korean, but I knew what to do, so I dial and Mickey himself answers the phone, I try and change the ADR's but I am having trouble understanding him.

Sayid: Something is blocking the signal.

then I woke up, but the rest of the night I was tossing and turning, never actually fully sleeping. My alram went off and I went to call.
CM Sabrina answered I explained my situation and she was more than understanding, I tried to make ADR's for Sci-Fi, all booked. 50's Primetime, all booked, Mama Melrose, all booked. I tried another park, all booked. CM Sabrina suggested keeping the ADR since it's early in the day and just leaving the park after we eat. I had nothing left to do but stay with the original ADR's. I went to bed thinking I have ruined my whole parties Disney trip. I was thinking of ways to apologize and make it up to them. I fell asleep and didn't wake up till 1:00pm. The first thing I did was call my mom and tell her about my huge mistake. Mom knows about my fear of crowds, she has had to shield me several times and create space for me to breathe, she knows and she feels for me.

Mom tells me in her calming mothers voice. "Our trip is not ruined, we are going to have a great time. All of us will surround you and keep you "safe" as soon as we finish our lunch we can either park hop or go back to the resort to rest, please stop making yourself sick."

I told her it's a wasted park day and a waste of money." Mom said, "No Ty, we'll be at Disney, we'll be together, that's all that matters, there will be other days at the park."

That's all I needed to hear. I'm still nervous about what's to come, but I trust mom, she'll get me through it.

So I have been trying to think on the positive side and come up with a new plan.

After we eat we can take the monorail to Epcot and do half of world showcase, possibly use our cs credit in Germany. We could be back at the resort pretty early and get a good nights sleep for the next day.

Has anyone ever been to MK on taping day? Just how bad is it? Does it stay crowded all day? Mostly in front of the castle or the whole park?

Any help or info would be so appreciated.

If you want to stand there and watch the taping, be prepared to be there a long time. They will record and stop and back up the parade and re-record over and over and over. If you are wanting to explore MK as if it were a normal day, they will take you in backstage type areas to get you off of main street. I'm almost 100% sure that is what they did last year but like I said I was not able to go but heard this from word of mouth, enjoy if you go!

I will say that I've researched it pretty well on these boards since I will be there that day too, and from what I've read it is mostly the main street that is packed but the rest of the park is fairly open - at least until they finish taping. I would suggest getting there early and riding the rides you want to do before you eat breakfast then just park hop when you get out of CP. Also, if you let a CM know that large crowds bother you they might even escort you via a backstage route out of CP, if you don't feel like doing that then I'd say try and get out through the Caseys Corner/gift shop route. I'm sure it will work out and not be a wasted day, at least you have park hoppers and since most of the people will be at MK maybe you'll luck out at one of the other parks. Another really nice thing to do if you have some time to blow is to hop on the monorail and get off at the mono-resorts and see all the x-mas decorations. The gingerbread displays at several of them can't be missed, they even put hidden mickeys in the gingerbread and they tell you how many to look for. I wish my house looked like any one of the resorts at that time of year!

Everything is ok now, I'm over the initial shock, it's funny coming from what I felt was the end of the world yesterday to thinking it's not so bad and maybe MK will be doable that day, for a while anyway.

Visiting the resorts is not a bad idea either, thank you for the idea
