Debate: Which "leader" said it ?

As far as why one would want to start this thread, why not? It is a "Community Board" on a discussion forum. Should we only discuss what Steve feels appropriate?
By the same token, people are allowed to post criticisms of the threads as well. Open forum to all, right ... or just to those that happen to agree with the OP and you??
And speaking of "bashing"... Shall we do a search for some of DawnCt1's threads?
Feel free if that makes you feel better, since you seem to have this fixation with her ...

But you see, I'm not stating that you can't disagree with the thread. That would have ran like this: "Why do we always have to post criticisms of threads?"

I simply stated that there are no good reasons why one wouldn't start this thread.

And as far as DawnCt1, I'm just highlighting the obvious. If you consider this thread bashing then you must whole-heartedly agree that many of her threads bash the opposite political establishment.

So what was with the remark "Should we only discuss what Steve feels appropriate? " ?? Yeah, you're not stating that I can't disagree with the thread. :rotfl:

Sure ... I just find it ironic that her screen ID is the first, and usually only one, you bring up in these situations. Nothing like unrequited obsession.

Here, let me break it down for you.

In response to this thread you post:

You see, thats countering your question as to why the thread should be started. It's not saying that you can't disagree with the thread.

Whew. :hyper:

Now, concerning this...

GREAT argument!!! Wow! I don't even know where to begin to refute that one!

And finally, speaking of obsessions...

   Can we get a couple more rolley-eyes in here?

I love it when someone like you uses the phrase "partisan politics"...It's about the same when I use it....I just don't know how you can do it with a straight face, really

Besides...they're his own words...How is it "bashing" to quote him ? I can't help it he sounds like a high school kid praying that he doesn't flunk his communications final :hyper:

If this is the best the libs can do in the way of criticism of Bush, then they are really showing their shallowness.

Ha ha!
You still crack me up!
i have seen lots of different forms of criticism Of President Bush on these boards and your responses are usually pretty predictable.

Is that the best cons can do?

(Don't get too mad. I just think your bashing of the libs is as funny as the libs bashing of Bush!)

::yes:: ::yes:: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Ooh...ooh...a cutesy little guessing game!!!! How fun!!!! Can I play???? I have a quote!!!!! Let's guess who said this:

"That depends on what your definition of 'is' is."

Tomorrow can we play with the blocks????

If you're going to say it's a debate in your title, at least make it a debate.

Believe, nothing that happens here makes me "mad". Not worth the energy.

Glad to see some originaltiy in your response. Also, glad to see you agree that these attacks are pretty shallow. I'm all for having a well thought out criticism. Like, why is Bush spending so much of our money on domestic initiatives. Why does the CIA seem to be unable to get anything right? But, making fun of the mans ablity to speak off the cuff? Puh-leeze. There's plenty of that kind of stuff to go around for both parties. That hardly moves the overall debate forward.

But, if it makes y'all feel more superior...go for it!

Thanks!
I am so glad I have your approval!
I certainly hope the reference of "y'all" is not intended to mean I am a liberal. Personally I don't like either side when it comes to all the whining each side is engaged in. I like to think of myself as a moderate. That makes me feel superior! HA HA!

I would prefer spending OUR tax dollars here on domestic issues like infrastructure and not on foreign aid GRANTS!

Keep up the "good work"!

Those are pretty good. I got one too. Which leader said this?

"I'm pretty tough on Castro, because I think he's running one of the last vestiges of a Stalinist secret police government in the world."
"And I voted for the Helms-Burton legislation to be tough on companies that deal with him."

Did you guess Senator John Kerry? You're right!

Oh by the way, Senator Kerry actually voted nay on that bill. Now, nay means no where I come from. Ain't that just a kneeslapper? Here's the vote. http://www.senate.gov/legislative/L...ote_cfm.cfm?congress=104&session=2&vote=00022

And here's a story on the quote. http://slate.msn.com/id/2097201

Now according to some, there's an unintelligent liar in the White House. And they want to replace him with an intelligent liar. Which one are we supposed to be afraid of?

Just one man's opinion.

Richard

I got another one!

Was it Senator Kerry or Senator Kerry?

1. "I know how disheartened Palestinians are by the Israeli government's decision to build a barrier off the Green Line — cutting deep into Palestinian areas. We don't need another barrier to peace. Provocative and counterproductive measures only harm Israelis' security over the long term, increase the hardships to Palestinian people and make the process of negotiating an eventual settlement that much harder."

2. "Israel's security fence is a legitimate act of self-defense. No nation can stand by while its children are blown up at pizza parlors and on buses. While President Bush is rightly discussing with Israel the exact route of the fence to minimize the hardship it causes innocent Palestinians, Israel has a right and duty to defend its citizens. The fence only exists in response to the wave of terror attacks against Israel."

Now to be fair, the first quote was for an Arab-American audience in Michigan last fall and the second quote was right before the Super Tuesday primary which included, I believe, a primary in heavily jewish New York. And it's really not all that unusual for someone to adapt their speech, posture, attitude, and beliefs to match their audience. It's what any good salesman would do after all.

Just one man's opinion.

::yes:: This doesn't even begin to rise anywhere near the level of a debate. Just another bash Bush thread.

For the record, I find political bashing threads tiresome regardless of which party is the recipient of the bashing.
