Debate is ON!

"A yes or no answer"???

What has Tom been smoking????

Why is Barack "Sarah Palin" Obama answering every question by talking about energy?

Only thing I learned tonight is that I STILL wouldn't buy a used car from Obama, the guy is a snake that would be devastating to our country..

He claims to want a fair tax plan, but then wants to give a tax cut to 95% of the people and a tax increase to 5%.. While I realize that will get many people to vote for him because they see more freebies coming their way, but lets not treat Americans as stupid and say its a fair plan.

Ahh, I am already bored. They are just repeating the same things over, and over. And it's all just what they think we want to hear. My mind is already made up, the VP debate was what I really needed to see!

That's what my wife said.

It is annoying especially for us die hard politicos.

I'm about ready to vote for Mickey Mouse as a write-in.

I'm ready to start taking a serious look at the third party candidates.

Or write in one of those pictured in my signature (and I don't mean the cute white fuzzy one)

If I hear "my friends" one more time, I swear I'm going to go nuts. The "umms/uhhhs" are bad enough, but I hate the saying "my friends". Say it enough times and it starts to sound insincere.

anndddddd....... I never knew a person could drag out the word "and" so long!

Um, has McCain left the building already? The Obamas are still there shaking hands. We haven't seen the McCains out there in a while.

I get the feeling McCain was tired and it showed.

I thought we already have Darth Vader in the White House?

Oh, you weren't talking about your avatar, were you?

At least you guys only have to listen to two of them, up here we had to listen to five of them. All saying the same thing "vote for me because if you vote for them your world will fall apart".

We also have people here cutting brake lines of supporters of different political parties. No sign on my lawn:eek:

I didn't watch a lick of it, but I'll give you the common theme in tomorrows newspapers now: Neither candidate made any major mistakes and some facts were likely stretched and/or botched in the process. Since Obama didn't make any serious gaffes, the debate was a "win" for him. CNN's "snap" poll will show 20% more people thought Obama "won" as will assembled focus groups of people previously claiming to be "undecided" voters.

The debate was boring. Nothing new, no revelations, no gotchas from anybody.

McCain wore another doozy of a tie. Time to fire the wardrobe person.

McCain's bretahing sounded quite labored throughout. he was either very agitated or his age is showing.

I agree with the poster who said enough with the "my friends" bit. It souded hacky and insincere.

They BOTH didn't answer their share of questions.

McCain was terribly rude in saying Oliver likely didn't know who Freddie/Fannie were.

McCain drove me batty standing much of the time. Unless he's got a legit medical reason for it, sit yer butt down and patiently wait your turn. At one point he wandered into the middle of the stage on camera while Obama was still speaking. He looked my doddering grandfather wandering around the house (rest his soul).

Ooh, I won a bet. I bet DH that JM would stop using the word Maverick and would instead use "reformer" at least once. I won...a massage. Thanks J-Mac!

However, despite my support of Obama, I don't think anyone outshone the other politically. I call it a draw but who really cares what I think?

I had no idea there was an election coming up in Canada! Too focused on here, I guess. But it's interesting to see how politicians are politicians wherever they are.

All the networks are reporting a hands down win for Obama.

McCain continues to fall.

Yep. We were there last week and it was all over the place. TV, newspaper, posters...

Just like home!!! :rotfl2:
