What happens if you have early seating but get to the restaurant later than 6:45 a.m. for breakfast on debarkation day? I'm thinking my family won't be ready until 7:30 or 8:00 a.m.!

It would be as if you had early seating dinner (6:00 p.m.), but you didn't get to the dining room until 8:30 p.m. — you would find the late seating guests at your assigned table and your servers serving them.

The alternative is to go to the buffet on Deck 9.

Hi PolyPal,
I was wondering the same thing. I'm guessign the response is going to be, if you can't make it, you're stuck with the continental buffet.
By the way, greetings from Tolland, CT!
When are you cruising??

We just got off the Wonder and it wasn't just a continental on the last morning. They had scrambled eggs, sausage and bacon. We thought it great since it gave us an extra hour sleep.

Greetings from the Berkshires.

We had the late seating and could not get into the dining room until the prescribed time.

We were able to watch the people disembark though.

I don't know what you are planning on doing after you get off the ship, but late risers might want to sleep until they need to vacate the room, grab a donut and coffee upstairs to tide you over, get straight off the ship from there and find breakfast on shore. Breakfast on board is free, breakfast on shore you can have late and linger over.

We had early breakfast, and, although we are early risers, don't usually eat that early. So we didn't eat much, and then had a second breakfast at the airport.

::yes::

Cruises are great for Hobbits. We had second breakfast almost every day. As I said, early risers, not early eaters. But you need a little something when getting up.

You had a full breakfast at the buffet on Deck 9? I thought that was always a continental breakfast on the last day.

For some reason every post I have read about the buffet on the last morning has said that The Wonder has a hot breakfast but The Magic only has continental. We were on The Magic 11/15/03 & only had continental. I went down to PC & got pancakes from our servers for the kids. It was NP at all. Next time we will know to go to the dining room that last morning & then go back to our room to get our bags & pack up the last minute stuff. We checked with our host the night before & was told it was no problem, just if there were bags on the bed he would move them.

The one thing to be aware of is they open all the stateroom doors that last morning. So if you bags are your dirty PJs from last night, no big deal. But if your bags are your camera bag with your camcorder and digital camera, your cosmetic bag- including all your expensive jewelry, etc., anyone will be able to walk into your room while your host is in another room and take it.

We're still waitlisted for early dinner seating, but if we get it, we're not planning on attending the sit down breakfast on the last day. It's just too darn early! We'll grab something somewhere else before disembarking. I'd feel better being in possession of all my bags and being able to take my time getting ready in the morning. Good idea about getting breakfast later in the morning after the cruise. We'll be driving to Orlando anyway, so we can find something on the way.

THeres a whole lot of NOTHING between the port and Orlando. So I would go into Coco Beach for something to eat if you can't wait an hour or so. Otherwise Orlando is no problem.

Actually, now that you mention it jrabbit, you're right! There isn't much on the way. It's been over 7 years since I've done that drive, but you've jogged my memory. A lot of Florida is like that - not much between "here" and "there". Most likely we'll grab something from the ship buffet and then eat lunch when we get to Orlando. Thanks for the reminder though.
