Would I be able to add on a DCL transfer from Port Canaveral to MCO if I plan to use the transfer from Port Canaveral and get free shuttle bus from MCO to Hyatt Place Orlando airport would DCL allow me to use their transfer to MCO if I'm not flying on debarkation day?

I believe you can do just one way, if that's what you're asking. I accidentally did that instead of round trip, recently.

Yes one way from Port Canaveral to MCO would they allow to add it on if I'm not flying on debarkation day?

So, we did this in March. Since the direct flight to Albuquerque is on Saturday and our cruise ended on Friday, we stayed in the Hyatt Friday night. We took DCL transfer from the port to MCO and walked our way to the hotel with our luggage.

It was actually a lot of fun; my kids loved the little roof top pool at the Hyatt.

I do not think DCL cares what you do one you get off their bus :)

Did they ask you for flight tickets when you got on the bus that morning?

They did not. Like I said, I don't think they care what you do once you get there. However, as the person noted above, you could always ask when booking.

Keep in mind that an AI is just trying to fake what it thinks a person might say. They are not especially reliable.

They have never asked for a ticket as long as I've used them, but YMMV. Cast member contact is your best bet.
To add to that, I'd use the chat on the DCL site, it's super easy and convenient.

Your answer from AI is wrong. Yes you can book a one-way transfer from the port to MCO or any of The Disney resorts even without a plane ticket or a resort reservation. If you booked through a travel agent, they can book the one-way transfers for you, if you booked directly through Disney, call them and add the transfers.

I went onto Iask AI this was their response

Amydisneyfan I'm afraid to say that response or website got it all wrong I'm afraid. In fact I just asked DCL via chat they said anyone on DCL can use DCL transfers as long as you have a Disney cruise line reservation. Please don't rely on AI gen they lied about Magic Kingdom was flooded after hurricane Milton when it wasn't. Feel free to go DCL chat on the DCL website they can assist you to add your transfer on.

I don’t think you will have a problem doing this. Because you can do the transportation part separately. You don’t have to tell them right away that you want to use this service. So how will they know when your flight is.

When you get off the ship you just have to show your key to the world card that will have PA in upper right corner. That means you paid to go to the airport. I don’t think they care if you’re flying out that day. They drop you off on the lower level and you have to up to the counter etc. anyway.

I'm sure you would be permitted to pay to take the bus to the airport without a flight. The only possible concern would be if different buses go to different terminals based on airlines. (This did happen in Southampton, but I don't know if it happens in Orlando or other US ports.) In that case, you'd just need to pick a terminal to go to.

Thank you I'll contact DCL tomorrow after work to add on transfer and I'll ask them is it ok for me to use the transfer if I'm not flying on debarkation day

We were staying at the Hyatt MCO for both before and after our cruise last month. We booked a transfer by calling to and from the Hyatt.

The one back was actually the same as the normal MCO one for flights. It drops you off close enough to the hotel. Just get off at the B drop.

We weren't flying till the day after.

I've definitely taken DCL transfers back to MCO to pick up a rental car for the back half of a vacation.

Thank you everyone what I can do is when I'm ready to add on the transfer from Port Canaveral to MCO I can also ask them on phone first just to verify if it's ok to use the transfer if I'm not flying that day first just to be on the safe side to avoid difficult situations on that day and if they say its ok them I'll add it on and pay with card for the transfer whilst on the phone after when it's been added on.
