ENJOY!! :hippie: :cloud9:

Very, very, very old news.

What's your point?

Let's face it, we all have to die somewhere :sad2:

Given the hundreds of thousands of visitors to Disney every day, I think that anything you have found, and no, I haven't bothered to check it out, is understandable :sunny:

the POINT is to make sure YOU don't do the negligent and stupid things the visitors did that resulted in their deaths

Well then.. it's usually good to put the POINT in your first post. With no disrespect, this is the Disboards. I'm sure they already knew abou this since it's rather old news.

:rotfl: well evidently op didn't and she's not the first to mention it so no need to get testy about it. :rotfl:

Op I looked that site up once and I'm sure it happens everywhere unfortunately. and sometimes disney things do make the news more. you have to feel for the families that lose a loved one anytime but espc. on vacation.

Okay...seriously...you think people are going to do "negligent" and "stupid" things unless you point out that people have died? :confused3

Don't know about everyone else, but I don't do negligent and stupid things because, well, they are negligent and stupid. :rotfl2:

I did a paper on amusement park litigation in law school and Disneyland has been cited numerous times - not just for accidents, but for their handling of these accidents. They've been cited for trying to cover up accidents and, at one point, had to pay to have the Orange County PD on staff during all operating hours because they weren't trusted to accurately report occurrences on property.

They were found to have done things such as hold up emergency responders at the gate while they cleaned up the accident to make it look less severe than it actually was.

So, although I'm normally one to brush these things off as people doing stupid things to get themselves hurt, it does appear that DL, at least in the past, has had issues with how they handled themselves.

I never heard those stories and found them interesting. Thank you to the op.

I found it very interesting too. Snottiness seems to be more and more common on these boards.

Who's snotty? Somebody call for a Kleenex?

Those stories are interesting. And so are the Kleenex. I'll have to watch for them too.

Well, I would imagine that based on the number of people who go through there ona daily basis, there is going to be some injuries and deaths. It's just the law of averages.

Now as far as covering them up, well...that's another story.

Interesting. All but two are guest negligence though. Not a bad safety record. I remember the one on BTR. I thought about it when I got on the one at WDW last trip.
