Death to this attraction!!

Some of the most talked about attractions here are ones that are still needed, for the families touring with young children, say under age 6. The ones that think "IASW" and "Journey through Imagination" are thrill rides. There really isn't a lot for this age at some of the parks.

I do kind of agree about Stitch, but we've gone on it several times because I've yet to experience the head licking! I must be doing something wrong.

And I completely disagree about the Jungle Cruise, always one of our favorites. Now, if you get a bad captain, yes, it's very very lame. But the CM's make or break that ride, and we've had some funny ones. Some that didn't exactly stick to the script! I'm sure they were chastised, but we still ride in hopes of getting another one. It's the little things...

So, Stitch could go, and I'd bring back...probably nothing. Half the fun of a trip at WDW is the anticipation of seeing the latest new attraction. So, I'd bring in something new!

In each park...

MK, I would get rid of the speedway and make a cool attraction based on the Movie CARS.

Epcot, redo Innoventions...What a waste of space. Also, get more countries added to WS.

AK, Primeval HURL...nuff said but I can see why some people like it so it can stay...I love everything else at AK now that Tarzan is gone.

MGM, I would get rid of Sounds Dangerous and put something really good there. They have to get back to making Mgm into a studio and have attractions that make you think you are in a working studio setting.

That's it, now that they are remaking a film for Canada, I will be very happy. I wish they had a "Monsters INC" ride and I wish they had a 2nd live show at MGM like Huntchback, it was realy good.:)

Disers, I've seen my share of attractions that were just BAD. What would you get rid of? What would you replace it with?

My choice: It's a small world. Of course I know some people will want to kill me for saying this but it's been around for ages and is, honestly, pretty daft. The animatronics are so 1980s. I'd bring back the cable cars any day to replace it. Now, if you still wish to hire a hitman to come get me (Does the Disney Mafia exist?:rotfl: ), I'll make a concession and get rid of Living with the Land.

Bring back tarzan rocks

I'd have to go with Sounds Dangerous--that one is so totally lame!

The High School Musical Pep Rally at MGM must go.

Although I would not object if they were to move it indoors, or present it on New York Street in the BACK of the park.

All the other attractions and shows mentioned can be avoided if necessary. This one can't be. If you're anywhere on Hollywood or Sunset Boulevards, you are listening to this thing.

Sounds Dangerous is my least favorite attraction of all time at any of the Disney theme parks. They need a much better story line as a backdrop for presenting the sound effects. We found it boring and uninspired. I guess if you're a fan of Drew Carey, you may have some interest, but we didn't see the appeal at all. All members of our party nodded off several times during this attraction. The one good thing I can say about it is that it's a good, cool, dark place to rest.

OK - leave IASW alone...lol!! That was always our first ride when I was a kid and by the end yes I could take it or leave it, but now that I have my own little one (17 almost 18 months) I have to say I love it again because I am seeing through her eyes and she just loves the whole ride...she oooohhhhs and ahhhhhhssss. So a couple years ago I might have agreed with you, but not anymore...but to each their own! :)

As for what I would get rid of - Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse - can we say BORING!!!! Do something with a Tarzan theme there. The treehouse as it is now is just so boring...I honestly can't remember the last time I even walked up it. Jungle Cruise could use a serious update. I went on that for the first time in years my last trip and I was so disappointed.

I have to agree with a PP and say Sounds Dangerous is fairly boring and could be changed. And the Honey I shrunk the kids playground could also use a rehab...I mean not many kids today see that movie that I know of anyway. And while on the topic of the Honey I Shurnk the Kids - how about a new 3d movie over in Epcot - HISTA is a little old and boring...

Ok now that I have given way more than one change...sorry....lol

And yes I would also bring back the skyway...always scared me since I am afraid of heights, but it was fun to see the park from that viewpoint...ok done now!! :)

STICH! Even kids seem to dislike it.

Get rid of stitch! It's a HUGE waste of prime tommorrowland real estate! Also, a LOT of the rides in MGM could use some updating...especially the backlot tour now that they ruined it to put in Lights! Motors! Action!:furious: (which IMO is also a waste of space!)

Death to...

-Sounds Dangerous
-Do not like any of the 360 movies
-Happy they got rid of the tarzan show
-Soarin... lol, i dont want them to get rid of it but i REALLY do not like it. They built it up way too much!

Sounds Dangerous is NOT a good attraction, but.......

They need to leave in a couple good places to take an air conditioned nap:lmao:

I agree, Stitch needs to go.

While others may enjoy them, I won't ride:
Dumbo
Alladin's Carpets
Astro Jets
Triceratops Spin
Primeval Whirl
The Teacups

(See a Theme here??)

I think that they should keep all of these bad rides because it keeps people who don't read these boards out of the lines of the rides that I actually like.
My husband makes me go through IASW as a punishment every time I drag him along. He doesn't like WDW, but goes every five years to shut me up. I swear by the second room, I get an urge to jump ship, even with the new coat of paint. I used to love CoP, but now, I smell urine every time I enter the theater and it is really revolting. Who actually goes on the speedway ride, anyway? Or the Astro Orbiter? Those are carnival rides, not rides for Disney World. And I agree about the Jungle Cruise. Even the sarcastic tone of the captains can't keep that ride from sinking. I've never tried Stitch, but will take your word on it and have my own chili dog if I ever get the urge to see what I am missing.
But keep them all going so that the people who haven't experienced them or done any research before going have the chance to see them, and learn from their mistakes while I walk on by!

Oh, I'm soooo with you there. But DGD4 loves Dumbo, so I can do that (with gritted teeth), but when it comes to those teacups, oh, Daaaaaaaaaaaddeeeee.

And, while I wouldn't kill IASW since so very many people love it, I'm convinced that continued exposure to that song has given me drain bamage. It's true! :rotfl2:

One of my son's favorite movies is the Country Bears. I was so disappointed in this one. We wondered why we were first in line for this one! I would love if they revamped it!

Oh my!! I can't imagine some of Walt Disney's attractions gone. I'm not sure it would ever have the same feel for me. I love history and nostalgia and all those amazingly wonderful memories from my first visit when I was twelve. I still walk by 20,000 Leagues (well were it used to be) with just a little sadness, I remember that ride so vividly and the wonderful time I had riding it with my Dad. Oh and remember the swan boats in the moat around the castle!! I think I took a whole roll of film!! I love IASW, and the way my youngest daughter's eyes sparkled the first time she rode it last summer. (She was only three and yes we rode it many times!) My family and I are die hard Disney fans, we just sent our oldest off to the WDWCP. I miss her terribly but love hearing all about her wonderful adventures and yes even she loves some of those same rides. Some of those attractions that seem less than exciting and maybe a little boring to some, to me mean magic and that maybe a little bit of Walt Disney himself remains inside those very attractions.
I know this is a little sappy for a first post, but remember I am being a sad mom right now!!! Hmmmmmm I know this wasn't the topic of this thread, what was it? Right!! Which attraction gone? I have to say I'm content and I'll vote...........nothing!?!:confused3

The current Tiki Room! Please, get rid of Gilbert Godfrey. Just an AWFUL "upgrade". We loved Tom Sawyer's Island and Swiss Family :)

We never tried Stitch based on disboard reviews.
