Dear Santa, I'd like a Disney Trip for Christmas! - TR started!

Great choices for your ADRs! :thumbsup2

We've done breakfast at CP twice now... and I'll be going there again on my trip next month. It's one place we'll go back to on every WDW trip... we love it!

The PB&J milkshake at 50sPTC is to die for! Soooooo yummy. And the food is good, too!

Sci-Fi has great ribs, burgers and onion rings. Stick with those, and you should be good.

I'm trying R&C for the first time next month... looking forward to it! Pretty sure I'm going to order the Sunday Roast, it sounds so good!

ohh, that milkshake sounds DIVINE! I cant wait to eat at 50's. Seems so cute. I'll have to make a note somewhere about the sci-fi food. And as for R&C I think I want fish and chips. yuuuummm.

Mmmm yummy choices. I wanted to do the Hoop-de-doo but I was outvoted, so we're going to Medieval Times instead (:scared1: Betrayal!)
I can't wait to see your TR (already :rotfl:) Christmas + Disney... two of my all time favourite things!
haha DBF doesnt care what, where or when we do anything. He says its my trip and just lets me plan whatever I want. :rotfl: But I am SO excited for hoop dee due!! :woohoo: And I am already excited to write my TR! :rotfl2: Christmas and Disney are two of MY fav things as well! I love going to the Disney store at Christmastime. :lovestruc

Day One: Crystal Palace (Breakfast)
I'm unsure if I've ever mentioned this about myself, but I absolutely LOVE breakfast. My favorite meal of the day. Love, love, love it. Soo what better way to start off my first day than with, well...a breakfast BUFFET! :lovestruc Plus, I love Winnie the Pooh and all of those wonderful characters! I've read wonderful things about the breakfast here and I cant wait to check it out for myself!

I think we have the same reservation (at least similar in time!). Probably the only day we'll come close to rope drop.

We are going early December (12/2 - 12/10). We've been to DW once, and that was the first week in February 2009. It was very low crowds. I am soooo looking forward to seeing all of the Christmas decorations and special events!

It sounds like you are doing your research. There is so much information available, but I love planning and being prepared. It's great your DBF is letting you make all of the plans. My DH is the same way.

We ate at Tusker House for BF on our last trip, and it was fun with great food. After this trip, we will have tried all of the character meals. My oldest is getting almost too old for the characters, so I'm squeezing the rest in this trip. Should be fun!

Today we are going to be totally off topic, but totally Disney. :lovestruc Now I'm sure most of you lovely ladies have been introduced to the wonderful world of Disney Dooney. I know I have and from the first moment I laid eyes on the pop princess tote it was love at first sight.

Now I had stumbled upon a bit of a problem when I went onto disneystore.com and realized that this bag was no longer for sale. The only way I can describe the feeling I felt is this..... :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

So I have been searching online everywhere I can possibly find, but ebay and amazon all have this wonderful bag for OUTRAGEOUS prices! Feeling a little defeated I turned to none other than the Disboards to help me with my Disney Dooney search. This is the only time I was ever let down by the boards, but I really didnt think I'd find anything that would help me. So I tell my friend about my frantic obsession with this gorgeous bag, which leads her to tell her mother about it. Which then leads to a phone call I got saying I am now the owner of this GORGEOUS DISNEY DOONEY! :woohoo: :yay: :cloud9:  :dance3:  :cool1: :goodvibes ;) :thumbsup2 :) :upsidedow :cheer2:

So now I am patiently waiting until I can rush over to her house and pick it up! I AM SO EXCITED IT IS ALL I HAVE BEEN THINKING ABOUT FOR DAYS!!!! LITERALLY DAYS!!!!!

I wanted to share my excitement with all of you. And I am also curious if anyone else has the love of Disney Dooney. Or maybe you have something else you just LOVE LOVE LOVE!

Disney Dooney and Bourke purses are gorgeous. I am obsessed. And now one is mine! I will have pics when I go pick it up. :lovestruc

Next Post!

Love the new bag! I just stocked up on new bags nominally for the ease packing (I got a couple of cosmetic/bathroom stuff-y bags) but more because it's been ages since I got a new one. Nothing quite that fancy, though!

Hi Steph,

Thank you for stopping over to my TR.

First, Christmas at Disney is more than you can ever imagine. It really doesn't matter it's crowd or not. You will be totally consume by the festive atmosphere, you won't even care if the parks are crowd or weather is too cold or too hot.

Here are my tips for going to Disney at Christmas. Plan the best you can but don't expect everything goes according to plan. Take your time and enjoy everything around you. It's okay to deviate from the plan once in a while and keep your mind open. Some time when you take a turn from your plan, you might get some unexpected magic. pixiedust: If you try to cramp every single detail from your plan and expect everything goes smooth, it's not going to happen. Trust me. Follow your plan but go with the flow at the same time. You will enjoy a lot more so pace yourself.

I have ate at a lot of restaurants in Disney between our last 3 trips. I can tell you I have not come across one bad restaurant except one but it was bad enough that the food is uinedible. That's is Trail's End. You can read more about it in my "Disaster" TR. That link is in on my signature. I love the 50 PTC. Their chicken pot pie is awesome and the servers there were awesome. I love how they interact with the customer like they are part of the family. Some people don't like it but I thought it was hilarious. Tony's Townsquare is okay compare to the other restaurant. Tusker House breakfast is absolute fantastic. It one of my favorite for breakfast. There are only 2 breakfast that can top over Tasker House. That is O'hana character breakfast and Kona cafe. Both are inside Polynesian Resort. O'hana dinner is another must for me. If you time it right, you can watch "Wishes" firework from the dinning room. Jiko from Animal Kingdom resort is another great restaurant and so is Artist Point at Wilderness Lodge. So don't get so hang up on not getting into Le Cellier. Another hidden gem is Yak & Yeti in Animal Kingdom Park. So there are so many great choices you still can choose from. If you keep follow my TR, you will read a lot of my restaurant experience.

While I never stay at Port Orlean French Quarter but I did stop over to check them out. It looks like a fun place to stay. For only $100 upgrade, you got it made.

Other Christmas activities you might want to consider at Disney other than MVMCP are Fantasmic, Candlelight Processional and Osborne Xmas light show. They are just fun fun fun and more fun.:goodvibes Resort hopping is another great way to experience Christmas at Disney. Every resort has their way to decorate Xmas differently.

As for travel arrangement, after my "Disaster" trip, I avoid flying at the worse way. Driving isn't really that bad, although gas price is making it harder. In addition, like you...we drove from PA and because we have family at North Carolina, we can stay over night there before we continue to FL. I am guessing you are in the Philly area so you are 2 hours less drive than we are. One other benefit from driving to the world, you don't have to worry about how you bring back all the souvenir you that have to have on a plane. :rotfl2: Believe me, you won't realize how much you have accumulate as the trip goes. Lastly and you might have read it from the Disboards, if you purchase any souvenir in the park or other resort, there is no need to carry your purchase around all day. You can ask the cashier to sent your purchase to souvenir shop at the resort you're staying at. It usually takes only 1 day to get there and there is no charge for the service. Save you a lot of muscle to carry your purchase around the park. You just won't able to do that on your last day at the park. The deliver just won't make it before you depart.

Hope I gave you enough tips to digest and sorry for the novel. Now back to writing my TR. ;)

Thank you for all of your tips! I'm going to take a look at your other TR after this...:goodvibes I will definitely take advantage of having my purchases sent to my resort! But I'll probably buy more than I should since I dont have to carry it! We're STILL undecided between flying and driving (nothing like waiting till the last minute, right?) but I think my vote is for flying. Even though I love the idea of not having to worry about bring more stuff back, the long drive sounds horrible and it would really annoy me to spend money to stay at hotel or motel for the night. Especially since my dad is willing to buy the flights. ;) I cant wait to go to 50 PTC! I think it sounds so fun and I cant wait to try it out for myself! Alright, now I'm off to read your other TR! And dont apologize for long posts! I LOVE them! :rotfl:

Jumping onto your PTR. We're 104 days out, so we'll be down at the same time! But we're doing Pop!

We seem to have a lot in common. I've always felt like an older person in a young person's body. I love reading, sewing, baking, crocheting, and floral design (I make ribbon rose wedding flowers). Well and of course DISNEY!!!!

Glad you got the resort you wanted.

I'll tell you. I've been to Disney about 24 times in my life... I haven't been in 5 years. I'm 23, so you do the math on that one. Christmas at the world is like no other time. Yes, the waits for things can be a bit longer, but it is simple spectacular. The atmosphere and the Disney Magic at Christmas time just can't compare to anything else you've seen before.
