Dear Santa, I'd like a Disney Trip for Christmas! - TR started!

:wave2: I'm joining in.

We went to MVMCP way back in 2004 and loved it. The parade is awesome..... especially the toy soldiers! From what I remember about it, Main Street and Castle areas felt really crowded but we walked on most rides. It was a good time.

Oh it sounds so great! I am so excited! It's so nice to hear people talking good about it! :woohoo: Do you think it is worth the money??

So I was looking back through my PTR and I have come to the conclusion that I need to add a little more information about myself. Not too much..just a little insight on who I am. Which lead me to this post....The Get to Know Me post. :cool1:

First, as many of you may already know, I am Steph. I am 19 years old and I work at a Daycare as a teacher. I have a love for children and enjoy being apart of their learning process. I have a big family whom I love and cherish, an amazing boyfriend who I am so thankful for, and an all around pretty enjoyable life. Now what do I like to do in my free time? I'd say not the typical 19 year olds version of fun.

First and foremost, I enjoy playing my Nintendo Wii. I worked very hard to get my Wii. (I had a yardsale. This was before I had a job) :lmao: I also love all things Nintendo.
I also enjoy scrapbooking, taking pictures, reading, (Right now I'm very into Nora Roberts books) knitting, baking, and anything else I can find that interests me. I've been told I have the interests of old ladies...but I take no offense to that because I truly enjoy all of those things. :goodvibes I also getting extremely excited over all things Disney...which has led me to find the Disboards...one of my newer favorite past times. :surfweb:

Since we are talking about my hobbies and such, I thought I'd tie this into my Disney trip by discussing a new hobby or two I'm considering! :rolleyes1

The first considered hobby is....

PIN TRADING! I think it would be fun! And there are ALOT of cute pins...like these...

So cute, right??

Now the second hobby option is...

201920.jpg

VINYLMATION! I love this villains series!!

But they also have these....

Pin Vinylmation! ugh. Soo many decisions. I like collecting things....anyone out there have a preference?

All pictures above were taken from the Disney Store website. :mickeyjum Also a very frequented site.

Ahhh another old soul! I'm 25 and I also enjoy scrapbooking, baking and photography. Also tea parties. :goodvibes I have yet to get into pin trading, mostly because I have an addictive personality and I am scared of where it would lead me! :lmao:

My family and I pin trade. I really enjoy it; we only trade with the CMs bc we have had some not so wonderful experiences trying to trade with other guests. We have our pins displayed in my dad's office:

It's a bit more crowded on the wall now, and each person has their own collection. I love that DD and DS are into it as well; it really helped DD get out of her shell when she was younger.

I'm not into vinylmation; not really into the look of them although I love villains and think that series looks neat, I would only want specific ones and from what I understand it is a surprise which one you get. Also, I have no idea where I would put them so they would probably just end up at the bottom of my closet.

:rotfl2: Ohh I am so glad I'm not the only one! I'm also a little worried about getting into pin trading...I dont even have any yet and I'm already trying to figure out all the different pins I want.

 INSTANTLY jealous when I saw this picture!
I'm unsure how the trading process goes, so I probably wouldnt trade with other guests.
I was considering the vinylmation because of their size, I wouldnt go too crazy buying them because I'd have no place to put them...and I honestly only want the Villains series. But they're over 200 dollars! :scared1:

So in just a few short days, it will be time for me to make my dining reservations. I have been obsessively planning and pondering over my options since I've changed my dates and added the dining plan and I have finally (I hope) decided. I decided I'm going to share them before they are set in stone so I can get any opinions there may be. :)

Day 1 - Arrival Day
No reservations for this day. Going to leave it open because we havent got our flights yet and I dont know when we'll be arriving.

Day 2 - Magic Kingdom
Crystal Palace for breakfast

Day 3 - Hollywood Studios
50's Prime Time Cafe for dinner

Day 4 - Epcot
Le Cellier Steakhouse for lunch

Day 5 - Hollywood Studios (again)

Sci-fi Dine-in theater restaurant for lunch

Day 6 - Animal Kingdom
Tusker House for breakfast! (I have heard awesome things about tusker house! I'm excited :woohoo:)

Day 7 - Free Day

A day to just do whatever...this is for DBF's sake...he doesnt like a schedule ALL the time.

Day 8 - Magic Kingdom

Tony's Town Square Restaurant for Dinner

Day 9 - Hopefully Animal Kingdom
No reservations for this day either because of not knowing about flights yet.

Aw shucks, you mean you're not going over Christmas anymore? :sad2: Well...maybe Christmas won't be so crowded after all because I'm worried about the crowds! :scared1: What did you change your dates to?

I changed our dates to dec 15 to the 23...but I might add the 24th...I'm undecided about that. :confused3

Sounds like good choices to me! I ate at the Sci-Fi Dine in, the food was awful, but the atmosphere was super cool and made it worth it.
I LOVED Tusker house, I'm absolutely going back! I went for dinner, never breakfast, but I really loved the food.

WOW! Pin Trading isn't cheap either, but as much as I love villains I think I will surely pass on the vinylmation, especially knowing the price.

Your ADR's look good! Tusker House for b'fast is awesome! Sci-Fi is just fine; typical burgers and fries for the most party but I was able to get a Bleu Cheese salad with steak on it one time and it was pretty good. My father hates Prime Time so we don't get to eat there.

I am so excited for tusker house! I havent heard one bad thing about it! I hope sci-fi is as neat looking as the pics I've seen!

I'm excited for both of those places for different reasons...I've heard AWESOME things about tusker house breakfast. (and seen pics that look really good too) :rotfl:

180 DAYS TODAY!!!!! :cool1:  :woohoo: :yay: :dance3: :cheer2:

Woo Hooo! :woohoo: :woohoo: I am excited! I just got done making all my dining reservations!! :thumbsup2 I had an alarm set to get up before six but woke up before it...haha I was excited to make my reservations! :goodvibes  I had seen a few people put on the PTR's that they got up at this time, to be on and making their ressie's AT SIX. I was unsure why this was? :confused3 But I found out when I clicked "find a table" and it told me I couldnt! (at 5:58) I almost got off and gave up until I looked at the time! :rolleyes1

So I got every restaurant I wanted for the exact day and time :woohoo: ...EXCEPT Le Cellier! :sad2: It was unavailable for that whole day...so now we will be dining at Rose and Crown Pub and Dining Room on our Epcot day! I am a little upset though...because I really wanted to try that chocolate "moose!" I've seen on some TR's! :sad1: I am glad I got my breakfast at Tusker House though. :goodvibes At least I got one of the ADR's I really, really wanted! :)

I've been away for a bit, but now I'm back and catching up!

I think you should feel good about your change of dates. You still get to go during Christmastime and see all the decorations... PLUS you've added a dining plan and MVMCP! That's awesome!

Your ADRs look great! CP for breakfast is fabulous... I've not been to TH but I've heard great things about that breakfast, too. My family has enjoyed both 50sPTC and Sci-Fi. We didn't care for Tony's, though.

Bummer about not getting Le Cellier. I'm trying R&C for the first time in September and the menu looks really good.

Unless I'm wrong, it looks like you have 2 more ADRs to make. With the dining plan you get a table-service meal for each night you're there. Am I correct that your trip will be 8 nights (9 days)? If so, you've only made 6 ADRs!

1. I just feel so much more relaxed now because I changed the dates. :goodvibes :upsidedow AND I AM SOOO HAPPY we can go to MVMCP now! :santa: :hyper:

2. Why didnt you enjoy Tony's? That is the only restaurant I havent heard anything about.

3. I looked at R&C menu before choosing them..that's what had me sold. DBF will enjoy it most because it's just something different.

4. Yes, I still have two more ADR's left. The reason they have been left open is because I dont have flights yet so I'm unsure of arrival and departure times. :confused3 I figured depending on when I find this information out, if I cant get anything we want, we can just use it for room service or something. Maybe get a pizza with those two credits.

Hi, thanks for commenting on my trip report! I will try to add pictures as soon as I find out how!

I think you're going to love going this week. We've been doing it for years and it's always fun. We have been going to MVMCP for the last few years. I think it's worth the money and it's a great way to get more hours in the Magic Kingdom.

Congrats on your ADRs. Sounds like you've got a good bunch.

:wave2: I dont know how much of my ptr you read, but I was going the week of Christmas to New Years. After reading everything on the boards I panicked and switched! :rotfl: I'm very excited to go these new dates. I've been told it was a great choice to make.

Wonderful start so far! I really enjoy reading other PTRs that are for "adults only" trips! Your ADRs look great.

If you didn't get Le Cellier, don't be too discouraged, just check the site whenever you have time, and something may open up. Especially at the 45 day mark when everyones final paymnet is due. By mistake when planning our trip for August 2010 I mixed up our Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios Day. By the time I realized my mistake, the only thing available for Tusker House was at 8:45 AM. By the time we left for the trip I was able to snag an 8:05 reservation!

As for photopass, I thought it was so worth it, especially if you like to scrapbook! If you haven't checked it out already, you can find everything you need to know and a whole lot more about Photopass here:
http://www.stitchkingdom.com/disneysphotopass/
Once you upload your pictures, you can add all sorts of neat borders to your photos.

If you are worried about the cost, don't be afraid to ask the photopass photographer to take your picture with your camera! The ones we asked were more than happy to oblige. And, if you pre-pay for photopass and decide you didn't get your moneys worth with the pictures, you can get a refund.

I hope this helps, I'm really looking forward to the rest!
