Deal of the century!

Im not doing one yet, maybe i will do one at christmas time when i know people who have done the deal have had success with their tickets. Until then i wont tempt fate. Lol
 
No heard nothing so I guess ebookers arehonouring it if it was a mistake then
 

Given that they often sell room only Santa fe/Cheyenne for such rock bottom prices, I'm really not worried about the actual price for the hotel being correct - it's just whether or not it includes park ticket that remains to be seen.

We won't know that until people start to go.. I know some on TA are going in Oct/Nov - when have we all booked for?

I booked this deal as I'm going in November anyway. I haven't been in contact with ebookers before now as didn't want to alert them I let the dust settle and contacted them today to ask about park tickets and fr the dining plan. Response was not great. Here is my convo.


C: Firstly I would like to confirm my booking includes park tickets as it doesn't mention it in the booking confirmation?
Ariane: Okay. Please continue with your next statement, C
C: Also am I able to book disney dining plan?
Ariane: Let me check that for you.
Ariane: For the security of the account, can I please have the name of the card holder, the last 4 digits of the credit card, the check-in date and destination?
Ariane: I'm currently checking the information regarding the park tickets and the Disney Dining Plan.
Ariane: One moment while I look into that for you.
C: Thank you
Ariane: You're welcome.
Ariane: Thank you for waiting patiently. I'm sorry for the inconvenience,. We have escalated this matter to our management with regards to the park tickets for adults and kids as there have been confusion with our customers who booked reservations with this promo. However, the update will be available in 48 hours. Hence, would you mind contacting us back in 48 hours through this chat? Regarding the Disney Dining Plan, your room rate does not include this though you may check this directly with the hotel and see if they are one of the eligible hotels of this offer from Disney. However, this will be an additional cost.
C: When I booked it said park tickets were included and it says it under account info but doesn't mentioning in the email confirmation. I was going to book trains today so do I need to wait? If I want to book the dining plan I need to contact disney direct?
Ariane: I'm really sorry, however, the update for the clarification will be provided in 48 hours. With regards to the Dining Plan, please contact them directly to check if this hotel is one of the eligible hotels for this offer. Let me provide you the link where you can contact them.


Then basically just says I have to wait 48 hours. If they now say no park tickets I'm going to cancel as was originally only going to go for 2 nights anyway.
 
That's an interesting response given that a lot of us have it in writing that they'd 'checked with the hotel' and that it was 'guaranteed' to have park tickets included.

It seems like they've finally realised their error! To be honest, I only booked this trip because it was too much of a good deal to miss out on - and if it turns out park tickets are not included then I will just cancel it. As long as I can get all my money back then I won't be too bothered.

Will you let us know what they say when you go back to them in two days?
 
Even if it was a mistake, there's a chance it will be honoured.

I've had similar mistakes honoured with other travel agents.

Last year I got a 4* hotel half board for a week in Fuertuventura for £150. It should have been £1500 but someone missed a 0 when entering the price!

We received a phone call a couple of days after booking stating it was a mistake and that they could cancel due to their T&C's. A day later we received a phone call stating that it was back on if I wanted.

So fingers crossed for you all because it's a great price!
 
Disney don't have to honour it, but I'm sure the TA's would try to for fear of backlash!!
 
It's taken them long enough to realise their mistake.

I will cancel too if there's no park tickets as can get a better deal with disney direct for Novemberas only really want 2 nights/3days.

Would be good to see them honour it but we will see. I'm not that happy that I have to contact them in 48 hours if they have done something wrong they should contact me about it not the other way around.

I looked at my statement and they have charged for it too so money has come out.
 
Our payment cleared out of our account the next day, was surprised how quick it was. Undecided if we'll cancel, we may just get APs because we were planning on going on our dates anyway and we could squeeze a couple more trips in on the APs.
 
Just been catching up on the TA thread and it seems they're adopting this '48 hour' timescale for everyone asking now.

I'm glad that this has come about now though, at least it should mean that not too many people have already booked their travel arrangements.

It would be very good for ebookers if they do say its genuine, I'd definitely use/recommend them again. Had never considered them before, this could win them many customers. Everyone remembers a bargain!

Very true, they will certainly be getting a lot of flak from customers if they choose not to. Especially after the reassurance we were given on the chat facilities and the subsequent booking confirmations.

It's one thing have a pricing error - but it's another thing altogether to confirm it's definitely correct and then go back on this. :confused3
 
I was also told that they would get back to me within 48 hours as they were querying whether adult tickets are included - if they're not we will probably cancel as only booked as this was such a good deal but will be very disappointed after having had several 'confirmations' on live chat that everything is correct!

Hmmm, it is looking slightly less promising! I have an AP and it says very clearly on my booking that under 12's play and stay free, so has long as DS gets his tickets, for us its not such a problem. I have to say I will not be impressed if they turn around now and say no tickets included!!
