I wonder about De JA Vu? What is it? I've seen the Matrix, and I know it is just a movie, but it still gets me to wonder when it happens to me, there has to be something to it??

Any thoughts from anyone?

Does anyone get De JA Vu a lot?? What do you think?? :confused3

One theory is that your brain takes a "double image", if you will. It tricks your brain into thinking you've seen this before. I get it all the time. It's weird.

Sometimes, I get Vu JA De....that's when I go somewhere and I know I've never been there before. ;)

I think its kinda creepy....I get it a fair bit and it really throws me for a "loop"! I think "am I going nuts here?"
The most recent Dejavu I had was just plain weird!
I was working in the library in the stacks at our school when the custodian comes in and starts talking to the librarian about the new floor tiles to be installed over the summer. They then proceed to talk about the shelves the books are on damaging the floor--as I sit there I exclaim loudly(I thought it was to myself, but apparently not! :teeth: ) "Dejavu!"
They both turned and looked at me, the exact positions they had been standing, clothing, conversation, everything was what I had seen before!
Now why would I give a care about the flooring in the library!
It happens a fair bit--if someone can explain it I'd love to hear what it is or why it happens...
For now I just think I'm weird!

One eye processes the image a second before the other eye does...and 'tricks" your mind into thinking it was somrthing that happened before!

People who are nuts, don't ask themselves that question, so were OK!

If that is the only case how come I could write stuff down with exact detail before it happens?

You missed the point of my post! Check out #6 & #8!!!!!!

Anyhow...what you have sounds like you are a Medium!! Deja Vu is more instantanious!!!!! No time to write!

I don't understand it, but ti bothers me. I get it all the time and every time its like tehres something right in front of me that I don't understand. like a sign written in english but I just can't read it. and maybe if I can look at it for a second longer I'll understand, but by the time that second rolls around, its gone, then I can't remember what it was in the first place.

I think its relativly normal though. it just gets on my nerves.

I just had to open this thread.

That is the name of our local strip club, oh I am sorry, it's not a strip club, it's a gentleman's club.

But yes, I have that also (the feeling of having been here, done that before, not attending the strip club.

LONG before I ever met my Matt, I had a dream about meeting a man wearing glasses with a green sweater, dark jeans and he was dropping stuff and somehow in the dream I knew Id marry him. The first time I met Matt he had on glasses, a green sweater, dark jeans and dropping his stuff. I can't go into the other details with embarssing myself lol ;) but I married him. It was the craziest feeling at the time when I met him having the feeling that I"knew" him.

That's not Deja Vu. That's a precognitive dream (I think that's the correct term) which is a pretty cool phenomenon in itself.

Deja Vu is a quick episode where you think you've seen what you're seeing before. It lasts only a few seconds. For example, I'm at the park watching my son play on the slide and a little girl runs by. Just for those 4 seconds, it seems like this exact thing has happened before.

I experience this a lot. Always have. I remember having it as a child and being freaked out.

Beth76 - I learned something new. I get deja-vu once in awhile, but it looks like I actually get both - deju vu & precognitive dream?

As I said, I've had a few, and three stand out - two of them work related. I remember dreaming that I was in an office outside a manager's office, and these other managers were talking to me. I woke up wondering why in the heck would I be talking to these people who really had nothing to do with me. I actually decided to remember that dream, and more than a year later (maybe 2?) I had kind of moved up in the company, working as an admin asst. for a manager when the scene I dreamed about played out. I remember getting that big lightbulb turning on in the brain moment. I just thought of it as deja vu.
