We do WDW every year and we're taking dd for her 6th b-day as a surprise...she has nooooo idea! princess:

Anywho...what can I do to make her Stand Out on her special day (7/23)?? I've booked Chef Mickey's for that night and the CM at CRO notated on the ressie that it's Rae's birthday.

We're planning on swimming during the day until dinner and then heading to the parks. Thought this would help us deal with the heat and crowds. What can we expect as far as that touring plan goes for late July?

Thank you for any tips and ideas and opinions you can give as far as making the Birthday girl feel totally special!! :goodvibes

I've seen special bday hats sold at the hotels and/or parks and kids wearing them at the restaurants. They generally got extra attention from the characters at the character meals from what I've seen. She could wear it in the parks but it would probably get too hot.

I was thinking perhaps have special shirt printed for her saying it is her birthday TODAY, etc. Something that would make her stand out to the CM's so perhaps she'd get some extra birthday wishes from folks.

Have fun!

This will depend a lot on how crafty and computer savy you are, but I made my nieces shirts for our trip last September. I searched Google for Disney related images and also searched for the Disney font. I made them a couple of different designs and printed them out on Avery iron on transfer paper. I purchased some cheap Hanes tshirts at the craft store in different colors and ironed on the transfers. You have to be careful not to let the iron get too hot or they wont come out right, but the shirts were only a couple of dollars each so it wasn't a big deal if I killed a couple.

I had used Tinkerbell on the back of one of their shirts and wrote Eat My Pixie Dust. I bought fabric sparkly paint and made it look like they had pixie dust on their back.

I've seen a young boy wearing a Disney "It's my Birthday" button during the parade in December. Prince Charming pointed to him and said very clearly Happy Birthday. His expression (and his mom's) was priceless. That said, I'm not sure where they got the button, but it'd be worth investigating. :stir:

They have birthday buttons(pins) at all of the parks...you can get one from each...just go to Guest Services upon arrival at the park, tell them it' her BD....and they'll give you the pin.....she'll get happy birthdayed by Characters, CM's, and just other Disney Guests who notice he pin! She may get special treatment from some....depends on the day and the CM's.

Make ADR's and ask for a BD cake for her!

Hope she has a magcal birthday!(I know she will!)

If you are staying on site I would have it mentioned on your resort ressie too. Sometimes balloons and a card turn up in your room on the big day.

We're leaving tomorrow for my DD's birthday trip, she will be 6 on Monday! We are planning to be in the MK all day, her favorite park, and then we are having dinner at Chef Mickey's and doing a Wishes celebration cruise that night! We will have her birthday cake on the boat! She is extremely excited!

Whatever you do, I'm sure your birthday girl will have a special birthday!

Also tell a CM before the Parades and they will put her in the middle of the street and get everyone to sing HB-day to her.

The 3 buttons at the top are the B-day buttons from MK Epcot and AK
