Okay, I'll be booking our trip in a couple of weeks and haven't decided whether to add DDP or not. I read somewhere that when making ADR's that you had to pay in full in advance. So how's that work if you get the DDP? Thanks in advance!!

AFAIK, You don't pay in advance for ADR (you cant know how much you owe before you eat(for most places)) There are a few places that require you to use a CC to secure your res, but they dont charge it until they bring a bill after your meal.

When getting a package, I am not sure how far in advance you need to pay for the package in full:confused3

If you add the DDP to your package reservation (pkg. must include a WDW resort stay, park tickets (at least a one day ticket- but can be for as many days as you want). The DDP is added for every night of your stay. If you stay 6 nights, you get 6 days worth of the DDP. You do have to pay for the dining plan in advance. The total balance of the package must be paid 45 days ahead of your trip. Since the dining plan includes the cost of the meal and all taxes and the tip, then the answer to your question is yes....you pay for the entire package (including the DDP) in advance.
