DDP & Rented points

My parents want to join us this August but we don't have any more points to borrow from next UY. I want to transfer in or rent points (127) and make the dvc reservation for my parents at BCV. If we are successful in doing this either with a transfer or rent, will they be able to purchase the DDP?

Yes.

If you transfer points and make the reservation yourself, then you can put in the DDP when you reserve the room for your parents.

If you rent points, meaning someone else makes the reservation, then they must be the ones to call MS and reserve the room in your parents' name, and set up the DDP.

In both cases, your parents would actually pay for the plan when they check in.
