I am staying at the beach club and have free disney dining, which i believe is called the regular disney dining plan.

Does anyone know if you get a starter with this plan at a table restaurant?
We love to have a starter and I am not sure if you get one, if you dont can you pay to have one and still use the dining plan for the rest of the meal?
I am not quite sure how it works.

the regular dining plan only offers you entree and dessert for lunch and dinner only.. However, anything that would like to add to your experience can be done and you will just have to pay OOP for it.. IE. alcohol, or starters..

As above, starters not included but you can add anything you like and pay. Also look out for any specials like:

Mama Melrose Fantasmic package, 1 credit but you get 3 courses & entry into Fantasmic, the deal also includes starters intended for 2, I had Calamari and was stuffed:rotfl:

Le Cellier did 3 courses(limited choices) for 1 credit but not sure with the new menu.

I believe Chefs de France has a 3 coures menu for 1 credit, not been yet, trying in August.

Done DDP for 37 days so far and only bought 1 starter (I couldn't resist lobster bisque at Yachtsman) shame you can't choose between starter or dessert as I usually eat very few desserts but I have enjoyed DDP the way it is and never gone hungry.

Hi Wayne,

Thank you for your help, Could you explain what the fantasmic meal thing is?

I have only been to fantasmic once 5 years ago ,so not sure what this means.

Thank you.

Fantasmic used to be on every evening so a lot easy to get a seat, now its been cut to a couple of days a week you have to get in there abut 2 hours before to get a seat(last time we tried at 90 mins it was standing room only)
So the best option now if on DDP is do a fantasmic package, you have choice of 3 places to eat, Mama Melrose, Hollywood & Vine (Buffet) or Brown Derby (2 credits) more info here http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/dining/fantasmic-meal-packages/
You have to dine between 1:30pm-5pm, after dinner your waiter will give you a voucher to gain entry into Fantasmic with reserved seating and seperate entrance to the main crowds.
