DDP for 11 year old

I have a question. We are going in September and have the DDP. Will our 11 year old be eating off the adult menu or the kid menu? Since we had to purchase adult tix for him I am guessing adult.

Any info. you can share will be GREATLY appreciated!!

Guests 10 and older pay adult prices and order from the regular (adult) menu.

He will be considered an adult.

At WDW anyone 10yrs old and above are an adult.

For tickets and dining, WDW has two categories - ages 3-9 and ages 10 and up. Anyone age 10 and up pays the higher prices. They don't officially label them "child" and "adult" but that is how they're usually referred to, resulting in indignance that a 10 year old can be considered an adult.

For resort room reservations, there are three categories: child (3-9), junior (10-17) and adult (18 and up). This is only to determine who might trigger the third adult charge on a resort room reservation.

True, at least in most places. There's also been some reports of patrons getting "adult sized" kid's meals in some places when using a DDP adult credit to order one, but this varies by location, server, phase of the moon, and whatnot.

From a dollars and cents standpoint, if the 11-year-old really wants a kid's meal (and not an adult-sized portion), you're probably best off paying for that out-of-pocket and using the credit elsewhere, schedule permitting.

My 15 year old almost always still orders off the kids menu and they just bring her a bigger portion.

One of my sons was 10 last summer, and he would often order a kids meal and we paid OOP for it. Then we saved his credits to use later on in the trip.

It worked out well for all of us!

I totally agree with another thread suggesting that tweens need a separate cost/plan than what currently exists! There's no way my 10 year old would eat some of the entrees at the more upscale restaurants!!!
