Hello folks. I am fairly new to the disboards, so if I don't know all the acronyms and shortcuts, please forgive me.

So we're off to DW come May, and I've reserved all of our ADR's (We're on the regular plan). I don't know why, but I'm really stressing / obsessing over my ADR list :headache: and it's almost comical how much I've changed stuff around. I must have spoken to every operator on the wdw-dine line, at least twice! I keep on asking myself, "Am I getting the best bang for the buck?" "Is eating at another resort boring as opposed to eating at Epcot or DD?" "Should I go OOP on 2TS places?" "Do I have enough variety in types of cuisine in my lineup?" "Did I check every possible resource out there on restaurant reviews?" "Does my reservation times coincide with planned activities?" "Are my lunch reservations and dinner reservations too close together?" "Is it worth the travel time to go to this restaurant when I could go to another one much closer by?" So on and so on. ACK!!

So here I am, venting to you all, wondering if there's something wrong with me.. It's only food, and it's not like we won't enjoy ourselves if we don't have the perfect lineup. I'm normally not like this and the trip is more than a month away. Anyone else go through similar episodes? How long does this last?

To answer your last question, it lasts up to the actual reservation, and even during it. :)

Seriously, you are not alone. My trip isn't until the end of September and I already have my chart completely made out just waiting until my 90 day mark to call. It's very very normal (at least for a DIS-boarder!) and expected.

That said, you can drive yourself nuts with it. I long ago gave up trying to get the most "bang for my buck" and concentrate instead on not having to cross over three parks to get to my reservation. :)

No your not weird we're all like this. Unfortunately I'd like to say it goes away but it doesn't. Because when your finally there and your vacation is over it's time to start planning the next trip and it starts all over again.

I go over and over my spread sheets daily for about 3 months until I can make my ADR's then I go over them for the next 3 months thinking I need to change something. So NO it's not just you.

I'd also add I start packing 3 months in advance. Not kidding.

Nope - Sounds totally normal, lol!

You sound exactly like me my first trip! As I plan this second trip, I have been much more mellow. Last time we missed 2 ADRs due to Dreams but the last minute changes were awesome! I realized, while where is eat is part of the fun, our attitude leads the way. :goodvibes

I have been passing the time picking meals I'd like but truly more for fun than ever being set in stone. ;)

What are your plans?

What are your plans?

We're a party of 7, 2 kids, 1 baby, me and the wife, our nanny, and a family friend.

We arrive on Saturday late afternoon.

Saturday dinner: T-Rex
Sunday lunch: Sci-Fi
Sunday dinner: Rose & Crown (Just me and the wifey)
Monday lunch: CRT
Monday dinner: Ohana (again, just me and the wifey)
Tuesday breakfast: Princess Storybook
Tuesday dinner: Whispering CC (no nanny and baby)
Wednesday breakfast: Tusker House
Wednesday dinner: Wolfgang PC (just the wife and our friend)
Thursday dinner: 1900 PF (no nanny and baby)
Friday dinner: Spirit of Aloha (no nanny and baby)

Some of these will be OOP (like TREX), but with our nanny not using all of her TS credits, we plan on redistributing her unused ones. (I think you can do that, right?) I'm also trying to nail down the right CS places- so far, I'm thinking Wolfgang PE and Artist Palette a couple of times for breakfast (we're staying at the SSR). Any other CS to recommend?

Thanks all for the words of encouragement. I really do feel like I'm in the D_wilight zone here...

yes, you can redistribute the meals..
for example if you are going for 7 nights with a group of 4 on the plan,(all on same vacation reservation) You KTTW card will show, 28 TS, 28 CS and 28 snacks when you check in. How you choose to use them on your trip is up to you.

I noticed you have planned everything out for the end of Sept trip. We are going at the same time. Sept 26 - Oct 3rd. Did you use the hours for last year? I hate that I don't know the park hours to help with planning etc!
