We will be on the DP and there will be one child with us on the plan. I know about the kids meals for TS, but are there also kids meals for CS that she will have to order? Or will she order an entree, bev and dessert like the rest of us?

Thanks!

The kids meals get the same as the adult-entree,dessert and drink. On our recent trip my DS's were not into the brownie and cakes after a few days and found out at Pinocchio's in MK that a chocolate shake is consider a dessert. For them they liked it because it was something different. The food was good there as well. Hope this helps you out.

Most of the CS eateries have child menus, and children on the Dining Plan are required order off child menus whenever available.

Thank you for the responses. I am sure the children's menu will work fine. :thumbsup2

At a counter service restaurant one or two people go up and order the meals for your party, while the others in your group snag a table. At this time the kids meal credits are grouped with the adult credits. So on our trip, unless my DD saw something on the kids menu that she liked (the selection for kids is dismal IMO and the food is always ice cold) she would share with me or order something off of the regular menu, we never had a problem doing this.

She is not a big eater, so the kids meals were the perfect size for her, but they were not appetizing. They are prepacked and served cold, we tryed them at several counter service locations, and each time, no matter what, they were cold. So a few days into our trip we just stopped ordering them.

Deos this work? I am not looking to cheat the system by any means, but some of the CAS kid meal selections, my son will not eat!

We were not out to cheat the system either. We had every intention of ordering kid meals. But DD would not eat them, she would end up eating off of my plate. So we just scrapped ordering off of the kid's menu at CS locations and she just shared with me or ordered something off the regular menu. We NEVER had a problem doing this.

Most of the kids CS meal are horrible! One of my favorites - Pizzafari at AK (keep in mind it is a pizza place)the kids menu is PB&J or cheese quesadilla! What? While we eat your favorite - pizza, you enjoy the PB & J Yum! Or Columbia House where the adults can eat chicken strips, the kids can have cold, rubbery, grilled chicken pieces - yum again! We tried to do the kids meals and when we realized we could order our DS a regular meal, we did.

Sometimes, kids meals are available but the kids can't eat them. For instance at the BW bakery, the only "kids" option listed is a Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich. Some of the kids in our party are deathly allergic. So what are they to do?

We had five adults (two were teens) and one child on "free" dining. My ds(7) found very few CS child meals that he wanted to order. We always ended up splitting 2-4 CS meals between the 5 of us and still had plenty of food. We left with unused CS meals equaling the number of times that we did not order a child's meal for him. The adult meals can be huge (eg, double cheeseburger with lots of fries), so no one was missing out by sharing. I didn't stress about the unused credits, because they were "free" and everyone had more than enough food. It's just one of the things to factor in when deciding if the dining plan is right for your party.
