DDP at TS restaurants

On our next trip we are on the DDP for the first time. It will be a large group (7 adults, 3 children & 2 infants). I understand that the tip will be automatically chared on a group that size. What I am wondering is how do we "pay" for everything? Do they "swipe" each individual KTTW card and then we get another bill with the tip and any extras?

I know they swipe at CS but I have never seen someone use the DDP at a TS.

All of the credits for the people on a reservation will be pooled on each of their KTTW cards. This means that you only need to present one card and all of the points needed for that meal will be deducted from the pool. So, if you are all staying in one room or on multiple rooms on the same reservation, the points for everyone will be on everyone's cards. If you are staying in multiple rooms under different reservation numbers each party's points will be pooled on their cards and you will have to present one card per party.

You will be presented with a bill for the meal just as if you were not on the DDP. The total due will reflect any items ordered that were not part of the DDP (alcoholic beverages, appetizers, etc.). If you have no extra items you will still get a bill showing the monetary cost of the meal. You can then pay any bill and/or tip using whatever form of payment you prefer.

On our last trip there was 11 of us, 5 different rooms/reservations. At each meal, someone from each room gave the CM a room key. The mandatory tip, because we were over the maximum people, was put onto one room, whoever wanted it. The mandatory tip was not split between the 5 rooms.

The extras, alcohol, could have been split by room but we chose to have those all added onto the same charge with the tip and only one room paid.

I'm not sure if this answers your question but I gave it a try.

We had a party of 13. We did not have room charging on our cards.
They would take a card for each room (in our case, 3), and then bring a bill for each room. The bill would have the total remaining AFTER the credits had been deducted.

So, in our immediate family's case:

Say the meal was $150, including the beer daddy had, which was $10. Tip would be $27, which is 18% of $150. The first bill brought would probably say $177.00. Then they take your cards, and deduct your credits, and bring you another bill.
The total remaining after credits were deducted was $10, plus the $27 for tip, for a total of $37. This could be paid cash, credit card, disney rewards card, or room charge.

We found that the servers are VERY knowledgable, and for the most part got our charges correct. [I think dh's beer ended up on my Mom's bill once, but no biggie.]
