DDP and MYW Package

Hello-
I am having trouble understanding the DDP and the difference between "length of stay" for the MYW package.
My check-in date is 2/19/09. That is a travel day.
We check-out 2/28/09. That is also a travel day.
Our total trip is 10 days, however, we only need 8 days (nights if you prefer to call it that) on the dining plan.
Originally our AAA agent told us we had to book a 9-day MYW package to get 8 nights on the plan.
When the 4 and 3 deal came out, we rebooked for the lower rate, still check-in 2/19 and check out 2/28- but for some reason our AAA TA re-booked us for 10-day MYW package :confused3 .
I've tried to get her to tell me specifically that we're still only being charged 8 days for the meal plan, but she cannot seem to answer that question, she keeps repeating we have 10-day package but it's not that much more for the hopper passes per day at that length (I understand that, I can see it's not more:headache: ), but it's the meal plan that I don't want to be charged more than 8 days for.
Can someone explain since she re-booked us 10 days MYW package, does that mean we have 9 days and not 8 on the dining plan ($120 more per day for our family of 3).
Thanks!

The DDP is ALWAYS based on your number of nights. If youre staying 9 nights youre paying for 9 nights of DDP

Yes, mbanks21 is right about that.

The difference is between the number of NIGHTS you stay in the hotel, and the number of DAYS you spend in the parks.

EX. We'll be checking in late in the day on Aug 23rd. We will NOT be visiting a park that day. We will be checking out early in the morning on Sept 5th, also a day we will NOT visit a park.

We will spend 13 NIGHTS at our resort, so we will be charged for 13 days of DDP. That means each member of our party gets 13 TS credits, 13 CS credits, and 13 snack credits.

However, we are only purchasing a 10 day MYW base ticket. That means we get 10 days in the parks. You can purchase as many (up to 10 anyway) or as few days on your park tickets (MYW) as you want, and it has nothing to do with the number of nights you stay in the resort.

Your DDP will ALWAYS be for the number of NIGHTS that you spend in the resort, no fewer, no more.

If you are staying 9 nights, you will pay for 9 nights worth of the DDP, no more, no less. That means on basic dining each person will receive at check-in 9 TS credits, 9 CS credits and 9 snack credits to be used over the length of the reservation. How and when you use them will be entirely up to you. You can go an entire day without using any dining credits if you want.

You do not have to enter a theme park to use dining credits. You can use them at restaurants in the resorts and Downtown Disney.

You can also use two TS credits per person for one meal if you book a signature restaurant or a dinner show.
