DDP 2 packages same resort split stay, credits?

Gosh that is confusing, ok we arrive at Pop on 8/17 w/DDP thru 8/20 and then check back in on 8/20 to Pop for the second part of our stay w/DDP thru 9/1. How do we use our credits from trip A on 8/20 so they do not cut into trip B credits? Thanks!

The credits from your first trip will expire at midnight on 8/20. You'll get 2 sets of magic bands, so if you want to use your first set of credits just use your first set of magic bands.

Which magic band you use should not be relevant. Any magic band assigned to you should be able to read any resort or package reservation you have linked to your My Disney Experience profile. You may want to specify to the server that you want to use the credits that are linked to your first reservation. I don't know if the system will automatically use them all first or not.

It shouldn't be relevant, but with them working out the kinks I wouldn't take the chance personally.

I would say it's not really a chance since which magic band you use has nothing to do with anything, since the bands don't have any capacity for storage. If the first band works, I would think that if anything, you wouldn't want to take a chance on the second band not working.

I would imagine they would tell you if you do not have enough credits to cover your meal in your first reservation account, but you may want to make sure they know to take them from that account.
