DDE or DDP?

Hi all. I have been searching this area for some answers, I'm hoping you folks can help me out with a few questions:

Myself, wife, and parents are going for 10 days at the end of November, early December. I had been planning on using the DDE w/ my AP for the trip. We have ADR's at Hoop Dee Doo, Sci-Fi, Tusker House, Trails End, Liberty Tree Tavern, and Wilderness Canyon.

What are everyones thoughts? Is there a site out there that I can plug all my info in and see what is the best price in comparison?

Any and all help is greatly appreciated!

I think it's a very personal decision but I'm sure someone's got something out there to determine what you'd spend/save at each location. The DDE (now TIW-Tables in Wonderland) is a percentage of your total-up to a certain number of people. The dining plan would allow you to "pre-pay" for those meals/snacks and you can pick whatever you wanted off the menu. Without knowing what you'd order and prices, it might be hard to get a "numbers" answer.

What we did on our last trip, and are doing in Dec, is to do the dining plan. We also have the TIW card and use that whenever the dining plan doesn't apply (appatizers, our youngest son's meals, whatever). It worked out well for us last time as we had custom birthday cakes for DH and DS4 at two locations-the savings on those and a couple of other places helped to almost "repay" us for the card.

Good luck making a decision. If it were me, I'd do the dining plan just so I knew it was paid for and taken care of before we left.

If each of you are able to eat a snack a day, a CS with dessert, and a ts with a dessert, then the plan will probablay work for you. We just got back on Sunday from 3 weeks. The first week we did the DDP and IF we would not have had the DDP AND we would have ordered everything that we did and used our DDE card we saved $80.00. However, after the first week we decided to cancel the DDP on our second week and just use our DDE card. We were tired of all the desserts and snacks. We ate where we wanted and ordered what we wanted. The second week just using the DDE we save over $500.00 by NOT being on the DDP. I must say though, that my DD 11 usually ordered a kids meal or we split an adult entree because she cannot eat a full adult meal. But, if everyone in your party can eat all that if offered on the DDP you will save some money.

Our story is very much like klynn's. We save money doing the DDE vs the DDP. (Oddly enough we saved $500 in one week!)
