Can someone please tell me about the DDE card? How much is it and where does it work? (you get percentages off certain places)? How do I know if it is worth the purchase?

Go to Debs' page and use link on left in Dining, that should help...

I just ordered mine for Thanksgiving and it's paid for itself based on my meal agenda....Do yourself a favor and do the homework though...Sometimes the Dining Plan is better based on your group size

Is it worth it, only you'll know that. Do you drink alcohol or valet park? The DDE also discounts alcohol, and you get free valet parking at the resort the night you are dining there.

DDE is only available to Florida residents or Annual Passholders. It gives you a 20% discount at many table service locations. Here is a link to more info
http://www.allearsnet.com/din/dde.htm The cost is $60 or $85 depending on your status.

How does the DDE work with Candlelight Processional Packages? Is it 20% off the package?
Also does Teppan Edo accept it?

Sorry! Still trying to figure out if this is worth it. So is theme park parking free with the DDE as well?

Valet at the resorts is free. I don't think it means free parking at the parks but if you have an AP you get free parking at the parks.

My DDE sheet that I got in December when I purchased it says it can not be used with any other discount and not valid for Fastasmic Dinner packages, food and wine festival dinner or candlelight packages. As of Feb. 2008, Teppan Edo is not on the list of participating restaurants.

Editing: it does say on the AP website that parking at resorts and parks for dining purposes is an included benefit.

It was totally worth it for us: we're non dining plan people who only have counter service at breakfast who eat table service at lunch and dinner. Some people dislike the 18% tip added in, but we always tip 20%. It gives discounts on alcohol too (again for us, this means lunch and dinner). It paid for itself many times over during our trip in May (wedding planning with myself, my fiance, his parents, my dad and his wife, my mom and her friend). We would never not get it in the future.

Hope that helps!

with the dde card can you only get the discount for a cocktail when eating at a resturant or can you show your card a one of disneys hotel bars??

We always tip 20% as well. I have no problem with automatic gratuity. Plus, we are a party of 6 for all but one meal and that means we would have gratuity added anyway. I think we will definitely save money be buying it so I'm going for it! THanks!

How does the free valet work? Do you show your card to the valet or do you get a credit on your valet ticket? That alone is a big savings.

We have used ours at BW Belle Vue, AKL Victoria Falls, WL Territory, a couple of bars at Yacht and Beach. We have also used it at Epcot at the Rose and Crown, at the Studios in the Tune in Lounge and Raglan Road DTD. I know pool bars are not included. Just remember an 18% gratuity is added to the bill even at the bars.

thanks for you answer, 18 percent is no problem, we usually give about 20%
and if the bartender is good he/she could even get more:thumbsup2

We've always presented it to the valet when given our ticket, and show it again when we turn in our ticket at the end of the night, no charge, just a tip. I'd suggest removing all your current WDW parking passes (put them away somewhere) to make sure you're not charged for it, so there's no confusion. FWIW.

How much is it to valet park anyway?

Also, is an 18% tip included on all counter service meals as well? (With the DDE)

I am not sure about the cost of valet parking, I think it is about $11-$12. I do know there is no gratuity added on at any counter service that takes the DDE.

We used ours two years ago as we were a party of 10 and it saved a bundle! It is accepted pretty much anywhere for table service except Rainforest Cafe..it wasn't accepted there.

It costs $60

Valet parking is $12 I believe. The free parking is only good the night you dine at resort, as you have to show your receipt.

Other then a few food courts, the DDP card is NOT accepted at CS locations. It is for TS primarily.
