DDE card and Victoria Falls Lounge at AKL...

So...what's the deal... does VF take the DDE card? I know for awhile they were...then all of a sudden, even though they were listed on the official DDE site as being included...they stopped accepting the card. Well, I just checked on allearsnet.com and VF is still listed as accepting DDE.

Also, if they do NOT accept DDE...do you think the little lounge inside Jiko will accept it? Thanks!

I had a problem last year with them accepting it. I had the impression that the manager would have had to come up from Jiko to approve the discount and the bartender either couldn't or didn't want to go get the manager.

The small bar in Jiko does take it.

Hmmmm, but I wonder, if it says it is accpeted at VF in official DDE literature, if you have a right to insist? I mean, if it is a matter of taking too much time, then you could pay in cash and leave the total amount and let the bartender know that their tip is the 20% discount? That way the can get the manager to "ok" it at their leisure?

I do love the little bar at Jiko...does it have a name?

We used the DDE card at VF this past November. There were about 10 of us and just presented it to the waitress. No problem at all.

They are still suppose to accept it. The next time we go I will insist on the discount, or my discount will be the tip..lol.
