DDE, are tips added on now?

Thinking of using DDE. Do tips get automatically added in now? TIA

Gratuity is NOT added in except for I believe parties of 6 or more wherein 18%is automatically added in.

Also, I was told that APPETIZER IS STILL INCLUDED in DDP but not Basic DP..


Are both these facts correct????

The DDE has a mandatory tip added of 18% for all size parties now.

This is as of January 1, 2008.

DDE - Yes, 18% is added in to all parties, regardless of size - it started Jan. 1 of this year.

DDP (which is different!) - Gratuity is not included, neither is an appetizer unless you are getting the deluxe disney dining plan. The Deluxe Dining Plan does include appetizers, but not tips.

This is incorrect. As other posters said, ALL DDE checks carry an automatic 18% gratuity, regardless of party size.

We just returned, party of 4 adults. Tip was added automatically.

Don't worry....I'm sure the confusion will soon be eliminated....they will just add the service charge to ALL dining at WDW restaurants. This will make is easier for all of us.

Sometimes they forget to add the DDE gratuity, so make sure you check your bill.
