And here I just thought it was Groundhog Day.
Nice. Im only 60 or so years from being able to do that. Now that I’m retired it’s always 5 o’clock Friday here![]()
Try calling them directly since all the restaurants in Disney Springs are not owned by Disney they only get a certain amount of reservations. You can also do this in some of the parks if they are not owned by Disney
This... A better time for Rainforest shouldn't be that hard to get. I've also read that if you really want to make sure you get in you can get a Landry's card and they hold so many tables specifically for those guests... i don't remember if that is for reservations or walk ups though.
The Twilight Zone is more fun...
Every day's a holiday when you work where the motto is "We're not happy until you're not happy!"
Grab it. If another comes up (or you call and get better or get a Landry card) you can always cancel it.
Actually... she said something like "I can find directions for you and make calls or send messages but can't do anything else." Including, I presume, tell me what flippin' day it is.And did she know about second Monday?
Cause its first Thursday for me.

And for the record, this is first Friday. Tomorrow is second Friday and for the first time in long time, I get two days off... and they actually coincide with Saturday and Sunday!
At least until work calls me to come in. (I give that a 50% chance.)
Hey all,
I'm new to Disdads and would love to join the group. I'm a dad to three boys, Davis (8), Maxwell (5) and Robin (3). We just bought DVC in December and have our first trip booked for August. I work in financial planning, which is fitting for how much planning, including financially, Disney requires these days. Let me know if anything more is needed to join. I'm happy to answer any questions. Thanks!

Glad everything came out ok.Hey, Fellas! Well, it's over. The colonoscopy is done and I'm back to eating. (Whew!) I was getting rather annoyed at not eating. Otherwise things went well. My DW made a bunch of Jello for me to eat, orange Jello, not my favorite, but that's all I could eat, and I can say that I'm done with orange Jello. Unfortunately we have a lot of orange Jello left. Was just informed by the the kid that she likes orange Jello. "Have at it, kid. Have at it." I guess the procedure went well because I was told to come back in 7 years. "Yeah, I'll put that in my calendar right now."
Oh man, change your phone number right now!And for the record, this is first Friday. Tomorrow is second Friday and for the first time in long time, I get two days off... and they actually coincide with Saturday and Sunday!

Yeah, but then you would have to be on Facebook, not sure its worth it.You can also find our little club on Facebook if you are over there. Probably a bit more active there than here.
Im a Tequila guyAnd a bottle of their choosing. I’ll take a nice Riesling.
We bought in at the Polynesian. Love the theming from the videos. Our August trip will be seven nights in a lakeview studio and then two nights at Animal Kingdom-Kidani in a 1BR savanna view.Welcome!
Which DVC resort did you buy into?

The boys and wife are beyond excited, as they are feeding off my excitement. I've never seen my boys so eager to save their money. We'll be shifting to a May/June schedule for 2024 and beyond,. Probably a bit shorter and fewer park days (August 2023 has 7 park days and just one resort day). Hopefully it will go to a 2-1 ratio of park days to resort days in the future.Nice trip.
Anybody seen the Godfather to have him come give this guy his number?
We are doing a Cruise this year instead of a park trip.Any Disdads with trips planned for August? I'll be in WDW with my wife and three boys from August 3-12. Staying at the Poly and AKV-Kidani. I can provide more specifics around park days, if needed. We'll be enjoying the parks at a speed of PeopleMover meets Jungle Cruise. Dad jokes are always welcome and encouraged.
Nice trip.

Have you done Disney Cruise before? I am considering one for my 40th. I've been on non-Disney cruises before, but my wife and boys have never done one before. We are doing a Cruise this year instead of a park trip.
No worries. I can wait. I already feel like a member of the group. The Chief is sailing across the Atlantic at this time. He spent the day in the Azores.
