Quick.. Hide the rum. Steve is back.Morning, Fellas! Well, I'm BACK!
Glad to hear.Overall it was a great trip with family and...much needed.

Hope it's better where you all are.
Sunshine here also and a comfortable(almost nippy, but with sun, it's nice) 16.We have sunshine here
Glad you had a good time (except for the travel shenanigans). Bet the folks were thrilled.Well, I'm BACK! After a fun filled week, I'm finally back home.
Similar here. Temps just below freezing, but add in 45mph winds. Lousy day.Rain/Freezing Rain here this morning.

Oh, no! How you must be suffering.Yeah, crappy here too, 65 degrees out. Lol
That's 61F for our friends in the US. You have to convert from Celsius for them.Sunshine here also and a comfortable(almost nippy, but with sun, it's nice) 16.
Lol. It’s a fountain. There are two jets that shoot water about two foot in the air and it overflows into the pool.Glad you had a good time (except for the travel shenanigans). Bet the folks were thrilled.

Question for you. Top left of the pool pic there's a platform. On the platform, I see a little slice of blue. It looks way too small to be a hot tub, or is that just the angle the photo was taken?
And... how is a pool like a wife?
Way too expensive and way too much maintenance considering the amount of time you spend inside it.

Sheesh. Typical Euro foreigner.

Got in trouble from Dan when I didn't do CelciusThat's 61F for our friends in the US. You have to convert from Celsius for them.

It had to be at least 87 ot 88 for me. The ball and chain said that was too hot and felt like bath water. I never really wanted the pool anyway, so I said screw it. When the heater stopped working, I didn't even bother....she can have it as cold as she wants. I only went in it maybe 4 times in a year and a half. It’s heated and the wife and daughter won’t go in unless it 86 degrees. Lol

When we first got our pool, I set the temp for around 85 or so. One day I went in and... holy hot tub! Apparently the kids kept turning the heat up. They had it up to 98!Pool is great actually. Since we’ve been in the house, since September, I think there were only two weeks we didn’t go in. It’s heated and the wife and daughter won’t go in unless it 86 degrees.
Gee, that sounds nice. And affordable too! Maybe I should look into that. I just hate paying for something I can do myself. Mostly the only thing I do, once it's up and running is a 5 minute chemical once a week.We have a pool service that does everything. We are responsible for cleaning the deck and any major repairs, motors etc. and for what they charge, you couldn’t drive to get your water tested. I don’t touch it.
Mine is salt too. I've heard there's something new that's even better, but...It’s also salt water and screened in so there really isn’t that much too do.
That's hilarious....
But also sad. Because it's so true
I will leave that up to the imagination of the reader. But, begs the question....because you're a 1 minute wonder or because it just doesn't happen?

Do like I do. Do both. Right now here it's -7C/19F.Got in trouble from Dan when I didn't do Celcius
Get in trouble from you when I don't do Farenheit
Just can't win
Hi Randal !!Hi Dave![]()
Supposedly there is a valve you can open and close to adjust the height of the jets, why? I have no idea But it’s one of many by the filter. When I say jets, they are the regular pool outlet jets facing up. LolOhhhhh...
We have 3 fountains, but they're laminar and off the deck. They shoot up about 3' high and arc about 4' into the pool.

I adjust mine when the pressure on the filter starts to creep up. I reduce the flow (slightly) on the returns so more water is sent to the fountains.Supposedly there is a valve you can open and close to adjust the height of the jets, why? Geez, that sounds great. They come in once a week, clean it, clean out all the baskets, replace filter, add salt if needed. test the water. Only thing we get is off the six palm trees close by, these little hairy looking things which are small enough to get past the screen enclosure get into the pool this time of year. Poor lady cleans those out.
Yup. Found the occasional mouse too.Skimmer is good for getting those little frogs and lizards out that decide to go for a dip. Lol
I had to Google... our (North America) time change was March 13. Funny... for some reason I just assumed everyone had moved their dates.Good morning from a clear, but groggy Germany. Groggy because of the time change and I may or may not have imbibed several biers yesterday. Mostly the time change though.
Minus 36F? Whoa!It was 2C this morning (to appease the critic in the crowd - 36F).
Congrats!Should be signing paperwork on house (rental) this afternoon.
I bought an instapot but hesitated on the air fryer. Just... so many gadgets... did I really need them? Now I find them both to be indispensable. Also plan on buying a 220v instapot and air fryer.

Should be signing paperwork on house (rental) this afternoon. Found a fully furnished 3 BR near work. Good thing is I don't have to buy all the furniture and utilities are included, so a lot less to worry about. Will stiill have to buy a 220v washer/dryer. Also plan on buying a 220v instapot and air fryer. I figure between the stove/oven and those two, I'll be set.
Yes, I know I said last week that our Mondays would line up, but to prevent the fabric of time unravelling, I worked yesterday, so that became my Monday instead. Hope you're all happy for me having saved the universe.
Still have 10 laps of yesterdays' F1 race to watch, which I'll be doing right after I post this.
