DIS Dads DDC XXXIV: The Original Home Of The DISDads!!!

Dads of the DIS talk about life, bacon, Disney, bacon, kids, bacon, cars, bacon, family life, and lots of other fun stuff! And beer. And bacon.
Thanks guys.

It's been a sucky couple weeks.
Unfortunately, today wasn't good...although compared to the loss of my daughter...much better
Waiting to hear from the plumber for replacement water heater (started leaking right before I left). Had same company have to come by and fix main valve into house...it broke, so had just a trickle of water. Unloaded the truck, so now we essentially have no garage. So yeah, not exactly a HAPPY birthday. It could have been worse....haven't figured out how yet,but that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
:grouphug:. Deepest condolences. Hoping that each day gets a little easier.

Top O the Mornin Dads! Reached out to @londontime to make sure all was ok and he is, just some life stuff keeping him from being around here regular like.

160 Days til DDCC8 for me
Thanks guys.

Hey Doc, I just saw this on my email coz Mikey tagged me. I'm so sorry mate. All the best to you and the family. Hopefully we can raise a glass in a few weeks if you are up for it.

I hope you get to find out what life is like with a beach and no winters soon. If I can ever afford to retire that is the way I want to head. :car: SWMBO has mentioned staying here in Appalachia because she doesn't want to start over at that point. :sad2: I'll have to remember to send her a card for our anniversary.:rotfl2:

Maybe you will get conjugal visits.

I had a classmate who just returned home after a triple bypass surgery. He was in great shape, ran, coached & played volleyball. Retiring sooner than later looks like a great option.

Morning gents.
Bit of a rough one this morning as I couldn't fall asleep much before 1am. So when DW's alarm went off at 4:30, it was particularly annoying.

Watch the knees!...

4:30 AM is rough. As for tennis, it's just how hard I decide to play. I'm hoping she will be able to carry me soon.

There are local lobsters and crab. But I'm actually not a big fan of shellfish. I've eaten it before and didn't hate it, but didn't particularly like it either. The girls (including DW) can't stand it. Hence the fish and chips.

Lobster is my favorite. A true lobster roll for me would be to take out the meat, dip in butter, and put on a toasted roll.

Thanks guys.

Don't have any words for you Doc. Continued prayers for you and your family.

Beverly! Not good news.

On the positive side, if you don't feel like paying the repair bill, you could just be like me and buy a new car....

That's a lot of monthly saved $ in payments.

Woohooo!!!! Just needs an ignition coil, less than $200.

Although the safety inspection needs to be done as well.

Some good news.

Hope springs eternal...or does it?

My dad's cardiologist looked at my brother and I after my dad had his heart attack and said "You two are screwed". He was right. Genetics will get you every time and there isn't much you can do about it. My weight, cholesterol and BP were always great right up to the time I got my stents.

Top O the Mornin Dads and a very happy Friday Eve! DD and SIL hit the road this morning to spend a few days back home - looking forward to it. Touched base with @GoofyIsAsGoofyDoes to let him know we miss him and his humor. He's working through his work deal and says he'll be back around here sooner than later. Prayers to those going through some tough times.

Howdy Dads. Long time no see. You guys still hanging out in this place? Is that the same pizza stuck to the ceiling??

Been missing y'all, hopefully I can stick around this time. I may have said that before but I mean it this time.

Prayers to those who need it.
Praise to those who deserve it.
Bacon for everyone.

Should be fun or injurious.
Who says it has to be one or the other? I say go for both.

It's been a sucky couple weeks.

SO sorry to hear that man. Life has just gone full Beverly on you lately. You will pull thru, it will be tough but you can make it. You have 900 of your closest friends here to offer support.

Afternoon gents, where in the world am I?
Not Pairs. It says Potable water.

So that tells me it's not Paris.
1. It would be wine not water. Parisians don't drink wine.
2. There are red and blue pipes, but the others would be white (to match their flag)
3. The concrete, while not new looking is not old enough for Paris sewer system

oh and it's in English.

How's that for a mental flight of passage?
