Saw that. Sorry about that. We went the weekend without AC. DW was ready to whoop me more than normal. The heat was the only thing that stopped her.

Sorry bout that, curse of the trade. It's my job to plan for the worst.

That was the perk about buying a new home. We knew no major repairs, other than storm damage, for 20 years or more. Here's hoping we sell soon.

Tournament draws are out. Youngest dd playing singles tonight (2 if she wins), mixed doubles at 8 AM tomorrow. I'll blame it on her for being tired if we lose.

Top O the mornin Dads! Meeting yesterday was much shorter than planned. Let’s just say that counter to our proposal was literally laughable. That led to 3 hours in Delta Sky Club which turned into 4 hours as flight was delayed. Then severe storms here at home so plane could not land and did not have enough fuel to keep circling so got diverted for more fuel and didn’t get home til 11:00. Top that off with pics of my SIL enjoying my cigars and my bourbon last night while I was dealing with all the travel stuff

What a night...

Our AC stopped working yesterday and the tech got here around 10pm to check. It wasn't the AC (it was running, so knew that) but the furnace blower motor and circuit board that blew. It will be $2,000 to fix (hopefully today). He was pushing for it not to be fixed but to be replaced of course and he may be right, but... that's $8,000. Do I fix a 10 year old furnace for $2,000 or replace it? I'm thinking with a new blower motor, it should be good for a few more years, so that's what I'm doing.

And then... He stands up when he's done and hits his head. Opens a 2" gash which starts bleeding and running down his face. First aid administered and he left, probably to get stitches.

Sorry about the troubles - always something with either a home or car going on the fritz.

Another hot day coming up with no AC.

Meeting yesterday was much shorter than planned. Let’s just say that counter to our proposal was literally laughable. That led to 3 hours in Delta Sky Club which turned into 4 hours as flight was delayed. Then severe storms here at home so plane could not land and did not have enough fuel to keep circling so got diverted for more fuel and didn’t get home til 11:00. Top that off with pics of my SIL enjoying my cigars and my bourbon last night while I was dealing with all the travel stuff

So... not the best day you’ve ever had?

Do you normally offer your cigars and bourbon to your SIL? Present her with a bill.

Happy long weekend!

Glad you got home Mike, hope you still have some bourbon and cigars left.

Hope everyone is feeling better and finding some inexpensive options for all the repairs that have been popping up lately.

Crazy few days here. Wednesday we had the issue with my car, Thursday I played in a charity golf tournament for Give Kids The World and won a new 50 inch TV, and yesterday we found an old beater for Declan to drive around town. 2008 Jeep Compass with almost 300,000 Km on it. It makes some strange creaking noises but it runs well.

It's a long weekend here but yours truly will be doing some play by play on some of the live streams for the U17 and U15 Boys Basketball Nationals that begin here on Monday. Anyone want to come up and do colour commentary?

Morning fellas! Got the family home safe from Disneyland. We didn’t go on Smugglers’ Run because of the wait time but Galaxy’s Edge was awesome. My wife (who is from Ireland) didn’t realize they would be in character. So when a cast member told her he’d never heard of the Ireland system, she tells him “of course you have! Look at all that red hair on your head!” The boy would have stayed in Galaxy’s Edge the entire time.

Ronto Wrap was good. I’d give it an 8/10.

Crowds were nonexistent. Based on that alone, single best Disney vacation ever! And DCA brought back Soarin Over California and I enjoy it so much more than World. I hope they keep it and offer both.

Sounds like a miserable day, with the missing cigars and bourbon when you weren't home being an extra insult. Hope he knows you won't be giving them a Christmas gift this year.

We plan to make it to DL one of these years. I would like to tie it in with a Hawaii trip as well. But, we will only get out west once, so might as well enjoy it.
