Happy Tuesday. Been nice relaxing days here.

WELP. RIP money.

I booked flights for our March trip that we had every intention of driving to.

They were just too perfect. price was wayyyyyyy less than I've seen, and the times ADD time to our vacaction vs driving on our own schedule.

Late night flights both ways, so it'll get pretty sloppy with tired kids. But, no 20 hour drive.

13 hours away here, so yeah, I get that road trip with children. I'm hoping to make that flight one day.

Entertaining game between Louisville and Kentucky last night. So Norm are you in the UL, UK or neither camp? Florida opened the renovated O Dome (their BBall arena) and played very well. Their arena is so old, I went there as a student when it opened. Off in a bit to buy vittles for Christmas Eve and Christmas dinner. Simple menu this year, steak (and whatever fake meat thing she is having) and roasted vegetables. Also going to give Yorkshire pudding a shot. I am sure that is a disaster ready to happen. It was a good game. I caught the end after tennis last night. I'm a fan of both. I grew up in Louisville and have a degree from UL, so I lean partial that way. But, the history if UK basketball is what it is, and I've always been a fan.

Minimum ten to fifteen years.
But realistically, after the damage done during 2007-2010 crash...
I ain't sure retirement is even possible any more.

No need to shut up. You still see me complaining about visiting the inlaws. It's a good way to cope. I still have that plan to go in 10 more years.

I hear you.
I remember quite clearly when I was in high school. Everyone had dreams, but I think I was the only one who was already thinking of retirement. I wanted freedom at 55.
Now I'm thinking if I'm lucky, I might be able to retire at 62 or so.... probably or so.

Which should be 55 for me as well. Always keep hope.

Merry Christmas Eve everyone. Had to make a quick run to Publix for a few items that I forgot. Other than that, the docket the rest of today is nothing. The kid is going to brunch with a friend and I will make Christmas Eve dinner which is munchie type stuff. Should take about half an hour. Tonight is watching It's a Wonderful Life. Best Christmas movie ever.

Merry Christmas eve. Leaving in about an hour for my first of two disappointing outlaw gatherings. It's a 2 hour round trip car ride with 4 hours of hell. The next outlaw gathering is tomorrow. It really is highs and lows this weekend - outlaws, Mass, just the four of us, back to outlaws. I really used to like this time of year and hope to again one day.

It's my outlaws, so yeah, I think some of them gave her that title years ago. Or, at least a justification for treating her despairingly.

So the best gift I got was a trip to Disney from my youngest DD! Wasn't as much as going to Disney, ( which is very cool) it's that her wants me there with her and her family for the new Grandson's first visit.

We had a nice Christmas. My best gift was a card with a heartfelt Christmas message from DD. Other than graduation, this year kind of sucked for us. Looking forward to the end of 2016 and a better 2017.
