DIS Dads DDC XXXIV: The Original Home Of The DISDads!!!

Dads of the DIS talk about life, bacon, Disney, bacon, kids, bacon, cars, bacon, family life, and lots of other fun stuff! And beer. And bacon.
Stopped by the Tambu lounge and Wishes just finished. A good night.

Went back to Springs today. Nice sunny day for a while. Had the Brats at Jock's. A bit strange. They were a little longer than breakfast sausage but kind of tasted like a Brat. Also went back to Boathouse and had the steamed clams. Not the best I had but still good.

Storms are supposed to blow in tomorrow so I think I am going to hunker down.

Well, no PB win here. But, it was a good week at work and less foot pain after tennis counts for second place.

DD on the left is definitely not fooling around!

Yes, I've taught her to scale those type pictures.

I was hoping to try Poly & VGF one day, but they are so many more points. Maybe I'll spring for it one day, but no time soon.

Morning.
So I get home from work around 11:30pm or so last night. I read the mail, relax for a bit and fall asleep about 12:30am. I don't have to leave for work until 2pm today. But I dutifully get up at 7am to drive DD to school. It's tough, but I just manage to pry my eyes open. At 7:25 I check on her. Still sleeping. She says she won't make it and will be late.

It's not the first time.

Tell me again why I'm doing this???

'Morning all...
Even a dreary rainy Friday beats just about any working Monday.
Of course it will just get better once happy hour actually gets here.

I'm guessing it came out of the diner era in the 50s . I worked at a Silver diner as a waiter in college and we were doing it there.
Ryan!
Good to hear form you.

So it's less a trend then a throwback...
That makes sense.

Looking at other people's responses I'd have to say I'd agree. If you are paying out of pocket it's an inexpensive table service inside MK and it has good ice cream and milkshakes. If you are on the DP I think there are better uses of a credit but when you're just paying cash it works great.
And any time I spend in parks in the foreseeable future won't be including any DP option, so I'll file that away as a good possibility.

Speaking of happy hour...
Oh to live the life of CJ.

We won the same nothing on the PB that you got.
But then again, less pain generally trumps everything else.

Hey guys. Been a crazy busy week, but at least it's almost over. I didn't win the Powerball, either. Do you really have to buy a ticket in order to win?
It's just a rumor...
I'd keep doing it the way you have been.

Other than blaming it on that bone that gets implanted in your head once you have kids, I don't got a good answer to that one. Tell her to get on the stick or you won't be waking her up on the morning y'all are scheduled to fly to Maui.

Morning Men, you have made it to the end of another week. Well done!

I think you just have to write the numbers down on a piece of paper and take it to the lottery office. Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

For the fame and recognition but not the money.

Yeah I think when we stayed at Poly it was at the top of the points chart for a studio. I want to say it was about 50% more than other studios and only about 20% less than some of the other one bedrooms. Right now I think we may book it for a night or two at the end of a split stay but it's hard to justify the points for an entire week in a studio there.

And she knows you wouldn't actually do it...
don't ya' hate it when your kids can see right through you.

::yes:: I told her I had had it. "From now on, you find your own way to school!"

She was almost out the door, before I told her I'd drive her.

Hi Ryan! Good to see you here.

They said someone would be visiting me later. I told them my name was Darcy.

Afternoon gents. Not one of the better weeks due to work and a dentist trip for a temporary crown so if ever TGIF............Did get some details of Dis trips booked, Hawks on a big win streak, CJ having good time at DaWorld and family is well so the important stuff is good :-)
Well, no PB win here. But, it was a good week at work and less foot pain after tennis counts for second place.
Glad ya had a good week and the foot pain is bearable.

This was a tough one - enjoy the weekend

Again, DAD

Couple of errands this morning and of course it poured. By 12:30 the clouds went away and it is bright and sunny. Shorts weather! Hopped on the monorail in search of a lunch place. Tried the Grand Flo Cafe but it was stupid expensive. Ended up with a burger at Contempt Cafe. Not bad, not good. May head to Trader Sam's when it opens at 4:00.

Do hope you are having a good time. Not sure I could do that many days solo at DaWorld. Would be nice to just do what you want, when you want though.

I've done multiple either full or partial solo trips. Quite enjoy them actually.

Yeah I really liked the rain shower in the dvc studios. Which building are you in? Did you wind up with a view?

Third floor Tokelau. View is mostly a construction site for the new Oasis pool area.

I was hoping to try Poly & VGF one day, but they are so many more points. Maybe I'll spring for it one day, but no time soon.

They are not going anywhere so plenty of time. It is a splurge especially when you look at it compared to Boardwalk standard view.

Thanks Rob.

Ryan,

Did the marathon kick your behind like it did the Pirate Princess? Twenty minutes slower than her goal. She said a lot of people were on the side of the course in various states of distress.
