Happy Friday Morning to All. Hopefully everyone is well on their way to helping Santa get the holidays in order. Hoop game for DS today and then to a Christmas Carol show this evening.

Had our work Christmas party last night the The Chart House in Boston. Excellent food, great people and a lot of fun. Of course I'm paying for it this morning, but I still made it into the office before 8.

I need to get some beer goblets before I crack open the bottles.

Been back a few days now from WDW trip (was AWESOME), was talking with the wife, even though we said no more till Easter, a end of Jan beginning of Feb weekend is no longer out of the question

Morning, men. Late start to my day. Slept poorly. It seems I am at the coughing stage of my head\chest cold. Decided to sleep in and take the kids to school and then go into the office. I LOVE knowing the stages of my cold. As long as get some solid sleep over the next few days I should be good.

Now, can someone locate David? He seems to be conspicuously absent...AGAIN.

Evening Dads! Wanted to visit the new thread.

Trying to wrap things up for the week. The Mrs. has a doctor appointment in the big city tomorrow. We actually had something work out well. This was just a new patient establishment type thing but since she came down with bronchitis after the flu last week we will actually get something useful out of it! Avoid the flu if you can as well. We all had it and it convinced me to get the flu shot in the future.

After that we are off to the "vacation" home for 10 days and the only internet access I will have will be at the public library or McDonalds. So Merry Christmas and may have a happy, healthy, and prosperous new year filled with all things Disney. While I haven't been around much in the last few months I do appreciate the thoughts and prayers and the texts of encouragement. I don't care what your wives say, you aren't a bad bunch of guys.

Just wanted to post some good news.
FIL (wining the battle against Leukemia) was running a fever and admitted to the hospital. Had been lethargic and experiencing severe swelling. Was in for 1.5 days they got some things diagnosed and he's been home feeling MUCH better and sleeping (a rarity). You can sense his mood change too. Very happy to see it.

And my daughter's BFF who had surgery on her mouth is returning to school tomorrow. No solid foods for another week but she seems to be recovering.

Thanks for the prayers, men! I will certainly pay them forward.

Just got back from dinner at Trattoria. Without going into details which I will do sometime later, this was one of the best meals I have had at Disney. Unbelievably good and you are getting that from a Pisan who knows Italian. Hopefully this is not an opening day thing.

Holiday company lunch today, Christmas party at our house tomorrow night, travel Monday & Tuesday for Holiday lunch with offsite team and then dedicated family Holiday time for a couple of weeks. last few hours in the office until the new year! We are locking the doors around noon and having a potluck. I will be eating fast and heading out to the last basketball tournament of the year for Declan and I.

D has a game tomorrow night. DS plays this afternoon. During the first game on Tuesday for DS, one of his good friends got benched in the first quarter. Apparently shooting an air ball from the 3 point line is frowned upon when there is a rule in place that you need to pass the ball 3 times before shooting. We were sitting with his parents and they knew the rule and were not surprised he sat the rest of the game. Wisdom to DS: If your going to break the rules and shoot when your not supposed to, you better damn well make the shot.

Reminds me of DD's travel club soccer coach who pulled players and played short on purpose, got down to 11 v 8. He had told the team that lack of effort would not be part of their team and that players that do not work hard on the field would be pulled and not replaced leaving teammates to play short. Well they didn't believe him until the next game and he was not messing around. They actually came back from a 3-0 deficit to get the game to 3-2 final playing short. It was a good thing that DD was not one of the ones pulled or she would still be hearing about it from me
