Hope everyone had a great weekend. Mine was OK but mostly boring.

I am liking my Disney standings right now at a 13/55, that's 13 days till from today I will be there and 55 days from today I will return to WDW:dancer::dancer::dancer: (Dancing Feds In Order :cool2:) Also it is my week when I am there in The Golden Oaks lottery pool:thumbsup2 Now does anyone know of any location on WDW property or at Orlando airport that sells lottery tickets:confused3 If I can capture Disney Magic and get a ticket on it's home turf we might have a better chance:confused3:goodvibes.

Here is a great Dis Wife Christmas Gift idea, give her 200-300 in Dis Gift Cards to buy a pocketbook on Main Street in MK, I did this last year and it was a GREAT experience for her she enjoyed picking out her own pocketbook at Disney knowing it is real and having so many to choose from, it went over so well that for Mother's Day I gave her a gift card to get a matching wallet:banana: it is also what she is getting this year:thumbsup2 since it went over so well:cool1:

Congrats on the upcoming trips. As to the lottery, you may be able to get them at the airport if you are flying in or if driving, any grocery store or convenience store will have them. Not sure about the ex-Hess stations but my guess is probably.

Good move on the purse although I don't see the appeal of a multi-hundred dollar handbag but it is her opinion that counts.

Happy Sunday. It continues to be cold here, but thankfully, the rain as stopped. I'm ready for summer.

Storm warning for here tomorrow, calling for 6 to 8 inches of snow.

Record highs most days last week. Cold front coming through with lots of storms and tornado warnings in Broward (Ft. Lauderdale). We are expected to have lows in the 60's this week. Whoopee!

True. Very true except I don't do the beach much.

A good very early morning guys. Woke up to 67 degrees and after the heat and humidity, nice change of pace.

Even though it is Monday, hope everyone has a great day. And remember, except for our more northern friends, short work week.

(Actually, it's warmed up quite a bit to a well above normal 1C/34F)

Almost done for the day (1 more hour to kill). Then not back till Thursday.

Happy Monday morning. It is 28 degrees this morning. So much for global warming. This time of year starts a good run for me, as I had a vacation week in October, this week in November, and two weeks in December. If it were only warmer.

Good morning! I hope everyone had a good weekend. I'll be honest, I don't mind the snow, in fact, I actually enjoy getting out and doing some sledding. I'm a little bit bummed that we didn't get any. We had some flakes falling for a couple of hours on Saturday, but the ground was warm enough that they melted on impact. I'll take the snow all winter. I just don't want the ice, wind and bitter cold.

Holy Shirt! A two win FAU team takes Florida to overtime. Should have lost the game but they ended up making the plays at the end. Hope none of you watched it because it was one ugly game. Heaven help us against the Noles and Bama.
What the heck was up with the SEC schedule this week anyway? Most teams schedule those kinds of games the first 2 weeks of the season, not the last 2 weeks of the season.

Morning gents. It's been a LONG time since I've been on these boards. Life just happens. Hope everyone is doing well.

Also wanted to share my weekend adventure with my bacon loving brethren. After curing for a week in the fridge, I smoked 13.5 of pork belly to make my own bacon. Fellas, if you've never done this and you have/enjoy doing some smoking (as in BBQ), you need to try this sometime. You will never buy another pound of bacon from the supermarket again!

'Morning all...
Short week so Monday don't seem quite so daunting.

[complain mode]
After a week of PT, the range of motion is returning and that's a good thing.
Just wish the numbness would clear up in my fingers.
Just gott'a remember, it could have been much worse.
[/complaine mode]

Hope all y'all got good plans for the holiday.
I anticipate a mixture of entirely too much food followed by a bouts of reminiscing and football watchin'
(think I'll be paying more attention to the ballgame, myself).

Look at it this way...
at least it wasn't as bad as South Carolina's weekend.

You most certainly need to buy a couple dozen of those tickets while you're down there.
I like your chances.

Good to hear from you sir.

I second this and move that we call for a declaration of unanimous aprovial.
All in favor say aye.

That beats my schedule...
I'd take the cold if it came with the time.

I can see that...
Problem for us is we rarely see that first one, but generally get our share of the last three.
Ice just sucks; no way around that one.

You've been right busy the last couple of months and it's kept you pretty quiet.
Generally I'd say that quiet was a good thing, but I do hope all is well up that way.
How did the harvest go this season? Don't believe we've heard.

I've definitely been busy. What little time I've had for the boards, I've basically spent just trying to keep up on TR's and the like. It's just easier to keep up with the Disdads on FB.

Harvest went well from the logistics standpoint. We had virtually perfect weather all fall. Harvest was done by mid-October - about a month earlier than normal. We had some good dry weather since then too so it has allowed us to get some fertilizer spread and do more fall tillage, brush cutting around fields and other miscellaneous work that we can't normally get to.

Now as for the business side of farming. Kind of a crappy year. Let's just say that corn was in the black, soybeans were in the red this year. And the scary part is... we didn't have a bad soybean crop. Not the best ever, but far from the worst I've seen. The cost of production is just getting crazy.

Hoping for better results next year...

He's like that all the time, pkondz.

You will never buy another pound of bacon from the supermarket again!

Man, that looks good. Wish I could do that myself.

I plan to stuff my face with turkey and then watch the Eagles crap the bed against another bad team.

Sorry it was a down year. That plus the Jelly of the Month Club "bonus" has made it a lousy couple of weeks.

Could it be that people are finally cluing in that stuff made from soybeans is bad for you. ;)

Glad the harvest went well.

For those of you who have been waiting with keen anticipation on the results of the cabbage trial....
25 varieties total ...20 green, 2 Chinese, and 3 red
Over 3300 pounds of cabbage cut (the first two replications of four)
So far there is so much plot to plot variability that there are no statistical differences among varieties and I don't see it improving with the other two reps because they were in the poorer area of my field.

I still get a paycheck though even when things don't work and am still on the green side of the sod so life isn't too bad.

If you need somewhere to send that I will take it. :duck:
Smoked sauerkraut and bretwurst goes good on cold days like today.

But I can't help but wonder... what happens if everyone just decides to bring $6? Do you just eat a lot of meat? Because that sounds pretty awesome too.
That is know as the Ohana potluck. and we would all go for that.

Me, I'll just bring the beer
And that is why you get invited to my potluck.

So, 1-1 in the post-season, then.
Sorry to hear it but good that y'all got a jump on the prep work for the next round.
It's hard to predict the future but may y'all find the right mix this season.

...Get on a bus.

I'm on the bus, still wish it'd make a left turn out of numbville.
It's effected my guitar playing a bit and that's one of the few weapons I got against the never ending threat of depression.

Dang frustrating.

Must keep perspective...
just keep sayin' that.
Perspective...
Perspective...

I plan to stuff my face with turkey and then watch the Eagles crap the bed against another bad team.
The local boys are playing on Turkey Day as well.
They need to stay focused or we'll be loosing to a crappy team.
It actually has me a bit worried.

Falls coming back on Wednesday, it was supposed to be like Barry's storm last week. Turned out it was pretty disappointing, won't even get to use the new snowblower.
Not sure weather to be happy or disappointed for you.

Crank up the new machinery and just run it through a couple piles of leaves (and point the spray toward the neighbors yard as well). The results should be entertaining if nothing else.

Holy smokes! (Sure... pun intended. Why not.) Does that ever look good!
What do you use as a smoker?

Hang in there dude.
Range coming back hopefully means feeling not far behind.

Aye. Ay yi yi.

He's like that all the time, pkondz.

I think I'm in hate.

:rolleyes2

Yup. Wasted. Might as well get rid of it.
Send it over here.

Lots of chatter in here today. DW posted a picture on Facebook about leadership between Girls and Boys, and the girl was holding a switch. :scared1: I don't know what i did this time, but I'm taking youngest dd to basketball game and hiding there. :lmao:

What the heck was up with the SEC schedule this week anyway? Most teams schedule those kinds of games the first 2 weeks of the season, not the last 2 weeks of the season.

New plan is to schedule some cupcakes for when the rankings come out so the teams can pass the "eye" test. Alabama sure looked dominant against the high school team they played Saturday. I still think there should be 8 team playoff, and that undefeated teams should be in playoff over the 1 loss teams".

That bacon looked great. Did you mail me any? :lmao:

I agree with you. We get a 1/4 cow from the butcher ground up as hamburger, and the meat is just amazing.

'

That beats my schedule...
I'd take the cold if it came with the time.
.

Now I just need the $ to do stuff with.

I'm not a farmer, but if corn was black and soybeans were red, then I think you did something wrong. :lmao:

Glad to hear it is all in and hope it's better next year.

And that is why you get invited to my potluck.

::yes::
