Surviving the Purge Ownage.
Last night, Louisville and a couple other cities allegedly were in fear of the Purge. For those who haven't seen this movie, it is a 8 hour time period where people can commit any crime they want. A teenager at a high school is believed to have posted flyers about the "Louisville Purge" last night. If you Internet search it, there are some interesting blogs about it.
Seemed more like hype. I read a blog linked to fb this am that was allegedly live and based on listening to police scanners. There were some reports of gun shots, people wearing masks with baseball bats, some break ins, etc. However, I read link to Louisville PD which reported it crime business as usual in Louisville, with the exception of the masks. Sad that it is crime business as usual.
When did crime become BAU?

Sad state of affairs. Watching the news is depressing.
Thank you, Randall. Aaron is wise beyond his years!
It has rained here most all day, and been stuck inside most all day. Oldest dd is now old enough for youth group at church. Tonight is Messy Olympics. Since it has rained all day, I'm sure there will be lots of mud.
I remember the days of the laundromat. My second place had washer/dryer common in the complex. After being in our house a few years, the washer we bought broke down. DW went the day after Thanksgiving to buy a new one - a necessity.
Hope th game went well. We never had done a 3D movie. I don't like the price, and I don't want to wear those glasses for 2 hours.
Oh, the people here get outraged over something today, and five minutes later, there is a new outrage. I still think the main issue here is greed. It doesn't need government to solve the problem, but a change of heart.
We occasionally do the 3D, but not without it being discounted. Inevitably I get a smudge or smear on the glasses and then can never get the lenses cleaned properly!
And yes, people aren't happy unless they are outraged. Now people are hating on the ALS ice bucket challenge. Despite the amazing amount of money that it raised, people are complaining about it. Our friend's 9 yo took $10 of his own money to donate. I donated $10 for each of my family members and got my employer to match. But this is a bad thing. *sigh*
Hope everyone had a great weekend.
We got home a couple of hours ago. DS and his team won their game 4-0 today and later we watched Nigeria beat up on New Zealand 4-1 in the quarters of the U20 Women's World Cup.
DS and I will be heading back on Wednesday to watch Nigeria take on North Korea. North Korea beat USA yesterday in penalty kick while Canada fell to Germany.
I'm not much of a soccer fan but congrats on DS and the win! Sounds like you all had a good time!
