I saw previews for the movie but that was it. Did anything occur or was it just hype?

Seemed more like hype. I read a blog linked to fb this am that was allegedly live and based on listening to police scanners. There were some reports of gun shots, people wearing masks with baseball bats, some break ins, etc. However, I read link to Louisville PD which reported it crime business as usual in Louisville, with the exception of the masks. Sad that it is crime business as usual.

You Can Do It!!!

The way it's going I won't make it to end... Seriously I think they are trying to make me have a stroke today. Good thing I arranged to increase their workload next week.

Sorry to say, but popularity of movies like that is what is wrong with America and the world these days. The biggest outrage we get around here us when they cut items from the Tim Hortons menu or the Maple Leafs from September to the end of August.

Good Morning Men!

I may have posted this elsewhere, but I wanted all the DISDads to see it.

I would ask you all to join me in praying for our fellow DISDads. There seems to be a unusual amount of injuries and depression in our little group and I would like to see us all praying for all our bother dads.

Be Good, Be Well, Be Smart, Be Wise and Happy.

I'm with you Randall. Wishing the best for all that are going through some trying times.

Finishing up a weekend away with DW and DS. WE have been in Halifax since yesterday, did some shopping today and went to see Guardians of the Galaxy last night. We opted to see it in 3D Imax and probably should have just went to the regular version. It was a good movie but it wasn't worth the extra cash for the IMAX or 3D.

Tomorrow we start back but stop along the way in my hometown, Moncton. DS has a soccer game in the morning and then we are going to watch Nigeria and New Zealand in the quarter final of the FIFA U20 Women's World Cup. Tonight is just another night at the hotel.

Thank you Randall and to all that need a pick me up think of the good things. Example - Duck's Princess Maria and her reaction to receiving her helium birthday balloon.

Discovery Channel has the Sharknado Double bill going. Must be why it's so quiet in here, everyone's glued to their seats..

At the laundry mat doing laundry. Someone is using all 10 of the jumbo washers which means I have to use the medium washers and pay twice as much. Grr.

So for our make a wish trip we wont be doing much the first day or the last day. Landing at 930 pm. Then to get the car and drive from sfb (Orlando/sanford) to GF and check in. And our last day our flight is leaving at 4pm.

It has rained here most all day, and been stuck inside most all day. Oldest dd is now old enough for youth group at church. Tonight is Messy Olympics. Since it has rained all day, I'm sure there will be lots of mud.

I remember the days of the laundromat. My second place had washer/dryer common in the complex. After being in our house a few years, the washer we bought broke down. DW went the day after Thanksgiving to buy a new one - a necessity.

Hope th game went well. We never had done a 3D movie. I don't like the price, and I don't want to wear those glasses for 2 hours.

Oh, the people here get outraged over something today, and five minutes later, there is a new outrage. I still think the main issue here is greed. It doesn't need government to solve the problem, but a change of heart.

True true, we need a big dosage of morals in society today

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

We got home a couple of hours ago. DS and his team won their game 4-0 today and later we watched Nigeria beat up on New Zealand 4-1 in the quarters of the U20 Women's World Cup.

DS and I will be heading back on Wednesday to watch Nigeria take on North Korea. North Korea beat USA yesterday in penalty kick while Canada fell to Germany.

Evening, men. Had an extended weekend that started on Thursday. We had our big cookout on Saturday and topped 75+ people. It was a blast but I am exhausted. I spent the morning driving to a Nike outlet to pick up some new kicks for the whole fam, then to my niece's Bday party and then spent the rest of the afternoon cleaning up from our cookout and then returning tables and chairs to various friends. I wish I had taken Monday off!

Surviving the Purge Ownage.

Last night, Louisville and a couple other cities allegedly were in fear of the Purge. For those who haven't seen this movie, it is a 8 hour time period where people can commit any crime they want. A teenager at a high school is believed to have posted flyers about the "Louisville Purge" last night. If you Internet search it, there are some interesting blogs about it.

When did crime become BAU? :confused3 Sad state of affairs. Watching the news is depressing.

From Aaron.
Thank you, Randall. Aaron is wise beyond his years!

We occasionally do the 3D, but not without it being discounted. Inevitably I get a smudge or smear on the glasses and then can never get the lenses cleaned properly!

And yes, people aren't happy unless they are outraged. Now people are hating on the ALS ice bucket challenge. Despite the amazing amount of money that it raised, people are complaining about it. Our friend's 9 yo took $10 of his own money to donate. I donated $10 for each of my family members and got my employer to match. But this is a bad thing. *sigh*

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

I'm not much of a soccer fan but congrats on DS and the win! Sounds like you all had a good time!

Evening guys. Returned home this afternoon. It was a nice weekend, I got to relax and kick back, the kid got her Rescue Diver certification. Interesting thing happened on the dive today. A women was having issues that were originally thought to be seasickness but it turned out to be more than that. After about 30 minutes from the start of the first dive, they called everyone back and rushed into shore. Luckily DD got in her skill tests before it happened. She also saw in real time, emergency procedures including administering oxygen that she studied for the course. The woman was successfully evacuated from the boat and seemed to be fine when they put her in the ambulance. Speculation was a severe panic attack.

Coast Guard showed up to take a report. You talk about a cool boat. Someone asked and this puppy has a max cruising speed of around 50 MPH.

Im sure we will. Im trying to convince girlfriend that we can miss thanksgiving at her dad's this year and extend our trip until Monday since her dad would be with us on the trip. Biggest issue with it is missing black Friday and cyber Monday because would probably use that spending money to pay for the extension, and ill be forced to crochet and sew gifts this year. I still have yarn from 4 years ago when I meant to make gifts to save money. .kinda got fed up with how it turned out and undid my work

Morning guys!

Morning, David!
Today def is feeling like a Monday. It felt like the alarm went of WAY too early. Hoping everyone gets through the day unscathed.
