Morning guys!

Morning Paul.:wave2:

Another rainy day in the holler. My cabbage trail should have been in the ground two weeks ago and it may be early next week before I can get it out if the rain quits today. I'm glad I don't farm for a living. :sad2:

We have actually had awesome weather in the Northeast this year. Only a few days of rain up here and on the coolish side, but definitely nice. Sorry for all the water down there. Hopefully you get some drier weather soon.

Hey Andy, I just drove by Purdue. Isn't there a statue of you somewhere on campus????

Today is DD's birthday. My princess Penny is 4. No idea where the time has gone as it seems like just yesterday that I held her for the first time.

Happy birthday Princess Penny. May your kingdom flourish today and every day.

MOrning Dads. Got the girl into her place at school with only issue being elevator out of order and having to shlep her stuff and a major WalMart run uup 5 flights of stairs. Had a dinner Saturday night with all and DD's roommate and then just a low key day yesterday once we got back home as the 3 of us were a bit tired.

4 day work week this week but only to get the kidney blasted again Friday - yes more kidney stones stories - this process has turned into a trilogy.

Mine flies back on Friday. it was a nice summer but I am ready for her to GET OUT. Won't have the problems you had moving her in. 1. She is on the first floor so no stairs issues and 2. I won't be there and she is on her own.

2 day to Disney and there is absolutely no way to get everything done before we head to the airport at 3AM on Wednesday (what was I thinking, 3AM????).

DD's hoop team won the summer championship on Thursday night, beating the only undefeated team in the league to take home new pink t-shirts. I do have to say the coaching was spectacular in this one.:thumbsup2 Lost her second title game by 2 points. They had a chance to win being up 10 with 3 minutes left. Coaching was sadly not as strong in this one. I would have spread the floor and run the clock out. Coach decided to continue attempting to fast break and take shot after shot. Overall a good couple of games.

Congrats on the first win sorry about the loss. Three am is going to be tough but look at it this way, a little nap on the plane and you will be there. Suck it up buttercup.

75+....that's a lot of time over the grill.
I spent WAY too much time at the grill. I had 2 of these giant boxes of burgers and was planning on cooking them all at one time (as many as I could fit on the grill) then transfer them to chafing dishes. Calling the fire under the grill hood a flare up us like calling a wild fire a camp fire! So I had to reduce the amount of burgers I put on at one time. I had a lot of good beer....Elliot Ness, Shock Top sampler, Magic Hat sampler, Leinenkugel's Orange Shandy, some local brews anda a few 6 packs that guests brought. I also had 2 cases of Miller lite...there were only 3 gone. :rotfl:

Sounds like a great weekend and congrats to DS on the win.

Cookout sounds like a good day - as long as you had some cold ones while cooking :)

Hearing about folks raising issues about people "self promoting" by doing the ALS ice bucket challenge - seriously? 14 million has been rasied for ALS since mid July compared to under 2 million during the same time period last year and folks need to complain :headache:

Congrats to the kid / PP :wizard:

Does our Randall know about this?

Keep enjoying and cherishing all the moments :thumbsup2
I got tired reading about your weekend!
I found the image simply looking for an "I hate Monday" gif. As soon as I saw Mrs. Randall, I copied the link!

Good Morning Guys! Missed Thursday through yesterday again. Heading back to see what I missed.

Hope everyone had a great weekend and in case you didn't notice, it's Monday again.:rolleyes1
Congrats on the DD's success.
Good luck with prepping for your trip. It'll be here in a heartbeat.

Ramada Thompson: The chafing dish is not yours.
Kent Gregory: Yes, it is.
Ramada Thompson: No, it isn't.
Kent Gregory: OK, I don't want it.
Ramada Thompson: Just take it.
Topper Harley: I'll take it.
Ramada Thompson: You stay out of it.

:rotfl::lmao::rotfl2: We were ready for DD to head out as well. I think most of them are ready to get back on their own as well. DW got a little sappy about her girl being gone last night but I quickly reminded her that DD would be back home Friday, and every other Friday for the next couple of months for physical therapy. DD did not want to go through the hassle of using satellite therapist and wanted to stay with her doctors group which I agreed so we get her every weekend back home for a while.

No no no....the Miller should be for guests, you needed to keep the good stuff secreted away. Lots of good stuff too by the looks of it.

Except for that long slog from January through April. Feels like the whole year flies by except for that stretch.

True. We booked a WDW trip in the middle of that period next year to help deal with it... Should help a little. ;)

2 day to Disney and there is absolutely no way to get everything done before we head to the airport at 3AM on Wednesday (what was I thinking, 3AM????).

First; Jealous that you're only 2 days away... Second: What flight has you needing to leave the house at 3am? :confused3 I thought I knew all the early flights, and I've never left that early! Are you flying out of NYC or something??? ;)

Saw the ticker Brent. Congrats on getting it added and starting the planning. Not sure if we'll get there next year, but I'm working on my bounce back sales pitch now.:thumbsup2

Here's hoping it works out:thumbsup2

Sadly Pearson International here recommends arriving three hours before flight to get through all the check outs, TSA etc, so for our early morning flights that is when we've had to leave. Must be why we flew out of Flint last time we flew. :rotfl2:

Long day.

. Suck it up buttercup.

That's my line.

.

You cold have used the 2 cases of water to put out the killer grease fire. :lmao:

I waited by the mailbox for mine, but I guess Norm forgot to send them out again.:worried:

Can't ship drinks. You can buy me one at the bar. :thumbsup2

]
I couldn't see it either, but might I say you did a wonderful job explaining it.:rotfl2::rotfl2: I am only guessing here, but a propeller is not necessary to get the bubbles and churning water. I can't wait to see Norm try this in the kiddie pool on CJ's lawn.::yes::
.

After enough beer, I'll try most anything. I'll even fart in the wetsuit.

If you haven't seen Guardians of the Galaxy yet, I recommend it!

I'm going to get to it next weekend.

I had a wheelbarrow, with a garbage bag as a liner, filled with ice and beer. The good beer. I did that so everyone could see the different types instead of rummaging through a cooler. Then I had a cooler right next to it labeled Miller Lite. 3 cans were gone. That's it. I put them into my garage fridge and am donating them to my SIL for a pool party this weekend.:(

Hey Dads. Been silent for a while, and being Canadian I feel compelled to apologize for that, so sorry!

Less than a month until we take possession of the new house. I don't really mind packing, but DW absolutely HATES it. She will do it, she'll just be unbearable throughout the ordeal. Yay!

Saw the touring company of Wicked as I rolled through Calgary, on Friday. Great show.

On Saturday it's off to Wine country in BC, as we head to Kelowna BC a place known for verdant wineries, delicious fruit and vegetables and a lovely climate. Some good R&R, good wine, good food and good beer.

Hope all is well with everyone.

We used to do Spring trips. It was nice to break up those dreary, cabin fever months. It was nice to hit WDW, then come back to only a few crappy weeks and the have Spring weather arrive. Now we do Fall b\c of the DD's school schedules. Hectic since we're always going during crazy months with Fall festivities and kid activities.

Glad to see you back! Packing sux and it only gets worse the longer you've been in a house. I'd recommend alcohol for you and\or your wife. It will make the process much more tolerable!:drinking1

Good morning guys! First kickball game of the season is in the books. The girls had fun. Our coach had words with the other coach for running up the score and their excessive chanting. I didn't mind the chanting, and my only concern about the score was what we need to do to not let that happen again. The coach didn't tell the girls the final score, but it was ugly :(.

Heading to KC for Labor Day and I'm hoping to meet up with Aaron. Any other dads in the KC/Platte City area?

Morning Guys.

Nice sunny morning here, hope it stays.

So the other coach is hoping his amazing skills will be noticed and he will be hired to coach a team on the pro kickball circuit?

Happy Tuesday guys.....I'm hoping today is going to be a better day than yesterday.

I was stuck at work a couple hours longer than I should've been only to come home to a cold dinner, my grill with no propane, and my keg empty. :scared1: :headache:

I hope you won't take away my man card. :rotfl:
