Recommendations for an actual good cocktail?

The best actual good cocktails (and bartenders) I've encountered have been:
In Park--Geo-82, Nomad Lounge
Resorts--Topolino's (and Bar Riva pool Bar), Enchanted Rose, Wailulu
Disney Springs--Frontera, Boathouse back deck bar

Not sure where you are staying, but if you are at a pool bar I have learned from consuming too many bad overly sweet specialty drinks, to just order something light and refreshing, and make it a double for $2 more. My favorite is a Hendrick's & tonic with a splash of grapefruit juice or pineapple juice. It's not too fruity, but very satisfying.

Enjoy your trip!

My favorite cocktail is whiskey in a glass. 🤣
Polite Pig has a great bourbon selection. Pappys, Whistle Pig, Sazerac. They aren't shy with the pricing though.
Homecomin has a cool looking moonshine menu, but they also have Blanton's, so it's a tough choice.
Anywhere else, I usually get a light beer or an old fashioned with Buffalo Trace.
Yeah, Disney is expensive but the bourbon prices in the World are on another level. They pay for a bottle of Buffalo Trace with 2 2oz pours.

I don’t drink any whiskey/bourbon/scotch or beer because they aren’t safe for my GF diet. I really like botanical liquors, gin, elderflower and chartreuse are my favorites.

My #1 favorite at WDW is the blueberry lemon drop martini at California grill, they go down so easy and pack a punch.

I don’t like pineapple in my mixed drinks so I don’t like most of the menu at Trader Sam’s but I do love POG juice so I always go for the pearl - it’s like a POG creamsicle.

I agree with everyone that the premixed ones from beak and oga’s aren’t great.

At Nomad lounge I like the drink called Jen’s tattoo partially just because I love the preserve hibiscus flower they top it with.

The blood orange margarita at Cava in Epcot is good but I learned that Tequila and I don’t get along too well, especially having dinner at garden grill right after.

Heading to WDW soon and checking out menus and I’m struggling to find where on property to find a proper cocktail menu. Everything mostly looks like sugar bombs with very sweet juices or sugary cordials (haven’t seen this much blue curaçao on menus since spring break in college). I guess this fits the typical Disney visitor palate but jeeze.

We even have reservations at Beak and Barrel and Oga’s Cantina that I’m holding onto because the ambiance looks cool but I’m struggling to figure out what I’d order and starting to second guess.

Any recommendations? Restaurants or specific cocktails at particular places are both welcome.

Include your favorite cocktail in your response so I can ignore anyone who says “cosmo”. 😜
Topolino's bar has good drinks in an upscale setting. The bars you have reservations for are gimmicky and majority of their cocktails are premade poured from a tap. Don’t get me wrong they are in a fun atmosphere but if you’re looking for an upscale cocktail setting there are other places on property.

I would like to know where you heard that about whiskey, because as part of the distillation process, any gluten is basically evaporated. True about beer, though.

You are correct that the distillation process does allow the whiskey to be gf if nothing is added to the liquor after distillation. I however am very sensitive and because the grains used to make it can still be present in the factory there’s always the chance of cross contamination or it being introduced back into the barrel with a flavor additive during the aging process after distillation. I do try to avoid even vodkas and gins made with gluten containing since there are alternatives.

I guess you could make sure you only drink from makers who are careful about that. But even as a boozehound, I would be inclined to just say "eh, never mind" and not drink whiskey. It's not like I need more booze options in my life.

I would make the effort for gin, however. 😎
