Just wanted to share a couple of picks taken from World Cup match yesterday. These were taken just before the start.
Looks like a great night. Were you the only 2 in the stadium? :rolleyes1

Thursday lunch ownage. Washing machine delivered, so life can return to normal. Not really happy with that cost.
Hopefully it was free delivery. popcorn::

You can send me some crab. The live ones, not the recycled ones you just ate. :lmao:
Send crab? I left those in Ocean City. I still need to send you a care package. I'm gonna start working on that. Scout's honor. :hippie:

I just wanted to share an uplifting moment with you all.

In this group, we often share our trials and tribulations and celebrate good news and fun stories.
Great to hear Brett. Glad he is doing much better. :thumbsup2

Well we booked a tentative trip for next May. We haven't told the kids. I got a good deal on renting some points so I went ahead and took advantage. I have decided to stay at my job until at least next May. That is when I will be due for my bonus, and I am not forefiting that baby!

Congrats on the need for the new ticker. Sorry to hear work is still causing problems. Any hope it will change?

That sucks. I still have not had the freezer looked at. Not interested knowing the costs of either fixing or replacing it.
.

I'm the one who does the laundry, and I suggested that I would go to the laundrymatt, like in the good ole days. She didn't want to, but found a decent deal on a new machine. It is pretty with lots of buttons. She hasn't let me do a load of laundry yet. I'll try one tomorrow afternoon if I can figure it out.

Last year at the very end of April, my FIL was diagnosed with Leukemia. And with every step, his odds got even worse. We went through a horrific July in 2013 where we didn't even know if he was going to make it. My wife, her sister, his wife were sitting bed side in an around the clock rotation. Eventually he stabilized and the battle against cancer would wage on.

On August 21st, 2013, my FIL, Dave, received a bone marrow transplant through the "Be the Match" initiative. Today it has been one year since the transplant and while he is facing other challenges, he is doing very well. Even recently, he was able to rejoin the gym! I wanted to share his Facebook status from today.

Over the past year plus, there have been countless prayers, lots of tears and and a range of emotions. I very much believe in the power of prayer and family. I know for a fact that his faith in God, and that my daughters and nieces were absolutely what kept his spirit up and helped him to be so strong.
I'm sure may of the DISDads here have personal accounts of victories and losses. So if you take anything away from this message, it's to appreciate what you have today. :grouphug:

That is awesome news!! I hope that the good news keeps coming.

Looks like fun.... :thumbsup2

Great pics and an interesting afternoon. Did you tell them any Kim Jong-un jokes?

Looks like a great night. Were you the only 2 in the stadium? :rolleyes1

It was a fun evening. There was about 5000 people at the game but it was 5 pm start and a lot of people where just coming in at the start.

No Kim Jong-un jokes but after Nigeria had the game in hand DS remarked that the North Koreans were still playing hard. I said it was because they didn't want to get shot when they got home. :lmao:

What a fantastic story, thanks for sharing. Got me a bit chocked up and smiling at the same time. Well said and thanks for reminding us all not to let the car repair, replacement t.v. or washing machine, get to us - that it is about family and faith :thumbsup2

Awesome update, and thanks for sharing.

Great news and thanks for sharing.

Great to hear Brett. Glad he is doing much better. :thumbsup2

Thanks, guys. It's always easy to find fault in things and have bad news. So this has been a bright spot. We celebrated tonight with my family, my SIL's family, Dave's MIL and Dave's brother. We all had cards for him and we read some of them aloud. It was very touching. We reminisced about his hospital stay last July which included many moments of hallucinations and gernerally behavior that is very unbecoming of him. LOL. A year later, we are able to joke and laugh about it. Many times throughout the day I have had to fight back tears thinking about how fortunate we are.

I genuinely enjoyed sharing the good news with this group :goodvibes

Wel done. That's quite a feat. Congrats! :cool1:

Congrats on the booking! Anytime a trip is planned, it's worth celebrating!I hear you on staying until bonus time. It has to be done. I am at that point in the year that I won't even look internally b\c of how it might affect my bonus. Here's hoping that things can turn around for ya!

Hey dads. Hope you're all welll. Got busy with back to school but I wanted to say that you all rock. My nemie rocks a bit less than you but ya know....

Good morning Dads, almost the weekend.

Well done, sir.

Happy Friday!
Indeed Happy Friday!

things are about to get hectic with school starting next week and all that goes with it...soccer practices, CCD, etc. I am hoping to have a low key weekend. Doing the zoo with my youngest's girl scout troop, but that's about it. Hope everyone survives the day! :cool1:

‘Morning all…
Let me take a moment to say one thing that I consider to be very important…

Bacon.

There, glad I got that off my chest.

Impressive…
That is a lot of clicks on the ol’ Submit-Reply button there.

And one very fine speech to boot.
Congrats.

Or…
You can let her have the job back for a while.

Just sayin’

It's more of a person issue than a work issue. They just happen to be at the same place, lol. I doubt it will change, he has been here for 20+ years and has zero plans to retire anytime soon. I'll keep moving forward, take Colts tickets and keep my eyes and ears open.

I got told to come over here and get a number. We've got a trip coming up Nov 20-30.

Give me a number and I'll post up some pics from work ;)
