At first select soccer practice with dd and not greatly impressed. There are some ok skill players that are on par with my dd, but not super amazing talent. Most of the other players have better open field speed. She has been playing striker this practice, and has had a few shots on goal. Hopefully, I'll get to see more when they are in a game setting.

OK... so which of you is planning on watching the entire "Every Simpsons Ever" marathon?
:faint:

If I had that channel, I would watch it. Homer is my hero.

Have fun Brent, your Dad would want you to.
Anyone heard from the tag fairy? I've seen several tag worthy comments lately but maybe we have offended her. Norm should mail her some bacon, cake and beer from his dues hoard.

The tag fairy cannot be bribed.

Half day in the office and then DS and I are off to the U20 Women's World Cup semi-final. Should have great seats for an entertaining match between Nigeria and North Korea.

Hope you all have a good one.

Enjoy the game.

I'll trade you; I would much rather be heading to Florida.

Me too. Stopping by to pick me up this time.

Normally I don't mind the drive because it's 12 hrs to WDW and I can do that in a day. But I'm leaving after lunch and will need to stop at a hotel somewhere tonight and continue an extra 2-3 hrs past Disney to visit my mom. All in all, 15 hrs of driving. Then on Saturday morning drive 2 or 3 hrs back up to Orlando. But on the upside, I got to spend $800 getting the van in shape!:sad1:

Yikes. $800 stinks, but it is better than years of car payments.

Evening guys. Just got home from a business trip to St. Louis. Was about 20 mins away from all the craziness in Ferguson, but it was all everyone was talking about out there. The whole thing is just sad, imo.

Hope all are well. Let me know if I missed anything important. ;)

Morning....

Taking the girls to the Canadian National Exhibition today, despite the calls of showers and Tstorms. Still should make for a good day I think, weather might keep the crowds away, and should meet up with my brother and niece later on.

Only real obstacle I think I'll face is this was one f those things I strongly associate with Dad. He took us every year growing up, and in the later years I went with him whenever he felt like attending, a lot of good memories, but still there will be a feeling of emptiness. (The original plan had us all going this year, I missed last year for the Disney Trip). Sadness/depression aside, I still plan to hit his favourites in his honour. Crown and Anchor, The Armed Forces set up, Ice Cream-Waffle Sandwiches and Back Bacon on a bun (Canadian Bacon sandwiches). Cant avoid things, must tackle head on.

Hope you all have a good one..
Very sound advice there, friend. I hope it was enjoyable.

Sounds like fun. I hope you both enjoyed it and got in some good bonding.

Woo-hoo! Figured it out. Apparently I wasn't logged in.
Me thinks this was just a post padding attempt! :rotfl2:

OK... so which of you is planning on watching the entire "Every Simpsons Ever" marathon?

25 seasons...

553 episodes...

12 straight days...

:faint:
Challenge accepted! Now just how much space can I add to my DVR?

Had a super fun but exhausting day. I took the day off and DW and I took our girls and 2 friends to our local amusement park, (Kennywood Park) We woke up to thunderstorms and torrential down pours. We left at 10AM thinking we'd head to the Science museum for a while to wait on the rains. The showers dissipated and we went straight to the park. Got there 5 minutes before the rides started running an walked onto everything all day! Longest wait was maybe 10 minutes. :goodvibes

The kids had lots of fun. We took my oldest DDs friends and they both made my youngest feel like one of the pack even though they are 3 years older.

Safe travels back, Tim!

Good morning guys!
Thank you! Made it home at 2 and left for work at 3… just got home a little while ago. I'm spent.

Too tired…
yah that’s the reason; not something like: “it was mindless drivel”, or anything like that.
We’ll go with: “too tired”.

Take care on the drive home and hope y’all had a great little trip.
Wow… you're good. I was just trying to be nice. :lmao:

Hope you had a great trip. Regarding goin into work on same day as you return - the things Dads do for the family :thumbsup2
Exactly. DW has to work 12 hours tomorrow and I have to work as well… reality is gonna be smacking us both in the face.

I think the only thing you missed was hanging out with me in Ocean City. Ate anywhere from 5-10 blue crabs a day. :thumbsup2

Thanks guys, it was a good day, little rain till the evening, the worst when we were already inside for dinner. FB as usual had a rough play by play. Things worked out well, with my brother and niece, too bad my other niece and SIL couldn't make it, but it was likely for the best.

Lots of memories, lots of laughs, plus I think Dad loves Trevor best :lmao:

Likely not even airing up here :confused3

Morning Guys,

Had a world wind trip with DS yesterday to the semi-finals of the U20 Women's World Cup. The game turned out to be a beat down with Nigeria beating North Korea 6-2. We had some North Koreans sitting near us though and they were fun to listen to. They were definitely into the match.

Back to work today, good times.

‘Morning all…

Just got a text, Panera bread now delivers.
Your on some weird lists my friend!

:lmao:

Cable line-ups vary a lot from one place to the next.
If y’all have the FXX network, then you can drop into a Simpson’s Coma if the mood so strikes you.

Of course, you can probably do that just as easily with either Netflix or Hulu.

Friday is almost here, men. I can feel it. Or perhaps it's just the wings I ate for dinner last night that I feel. :confused3

I’m puttin' my money with the wings in this instance.

Nice. Been a while since we hit an "amusement park" and kinda miss those. Last was Dollywood about 10 years ago - been only DL & WDW since then so not all bad.
