Yeah... been there, done that. :rolleyes1

Trust me, as far as bad ideas go, that's nothing. The fall isn't very far and that quad is just going to stand up on the back bumper and maybe roll a few feet before it stalls out.

The only one making a bad decision here is the skinny guy who's going to get crushed by the fat guy. :rotfl2::lmao::rotfl:

Thursday lunch ownage. Washing machine delivered, so life can return to normal. Not really happy with that cost.

Friday is almost here, men. I can feel it. Or perhaps it's just the wings I ate for dinner last night that I feel. :confused3

Good thing you can only feel it and we can't smell it.

Just wanted to share a couple of picks taken from World Cup match yesterday. These were taken just before the start.

Good pictures. I would rather have been there than work.

Us fat guys need you skinny guys to break our fall. It hurts with this much weight. :lmao:

Evening guys. Just got home from a business trip to St. Louis. Was about 20 mins away from all the craziness in Ferguson, but it was all everyone was talking about out there. The whole thing is just sad, imo.
. ;)

Glad you made it out ok.

I think the only thing you missed was hanging out with me in Ocean City. Ate anywhere from 5-10 blue crabs a day. :thumbsup2
]

You can send me some crab. The live ones, not the recycled ones you just ate. :lmao:

How do you think this ended up? I'm betting on the guy on the back got the wind knocked out of him.

Looks like it was a beautiful day to take in a game!

Top O the Mornin Dads.

Nice. Been a while since we hit an "amusement park" and kinda miss those. Last was Dollywood about 10 years ago - been only DL & WDW since then so not all bad.

Glad you guys had a great day :thumbsup2
It's a really cool park. I grew up about 70 miles east of Pittsburgh and we used to come at least once a summer. Now that it's in my backyard, we sometimes take it for granted. Now that my girls are a little older, they can ride everything (almost) so it's worth the money. Food is really good, too. They ahve these fries that get smothered in cheese and...wait for it...BACON! And there's a ridulous amount of seasonings available, too. the only downside is that as I get older, the more motion sickness its me. I tihnk it was more prevalent yestereday b\c we are going from ride to ride due to there not being any lines. Not something that happens often at WDW. :rotfl2:

Okay, I discovered that I need to get back into "theme park shape". I have a year. \finding it hard to get moving today so far :rotfl2:
And THAT is the motivation for rehabbing my knee!

I just wanted to share an uplifting moment with you all.

In this group, we often share our trials and tribulations and celebrate good news and fun stories.

Last year at the very end of April, my FIL was diagnosed with Leukemia. And with every step, his odds got even worse. We went through a horrific July in 2013 where we didn't even know if he was going to make it. My wife, her sister, his wife were sitting bed side in an around the clock rotation. Eventually he stabilized and the battle against cancer would wage on.

On August 21st, 2013, my FIL, Dave, received a bone marrow transplant through the "Be the Match" initiative. Today it has been one year since the transplant and while he is facing other challenges, he is doing very well. Even recently, he was able to rejoin the gym! I wanted to share his Facebook status from today.

Today is a very important date in my life. It is the one year anniversary of my stem cell transplant on August 21, 2013. Last year, a generous gentleman agreed to donate some of his stem cells (8 million or so) to me, an unknown recipient. It took about 6 months for his cells to become 100% of my blood. At this time, I am feeling pretty good. The leukemia seems to be in remission, but I am struggling with some related issues.
Overall, life is very good. I have gotten to this point only through the support of my wife Nancy, our daughters, Jen and Renee and Craig and Brett. I must admit that thinking about our 5 granddaughters has kept me fighting this disease with all of my capabilities. The medical team at West Penn Hospital has been fantastic 66 days in the hospital in 2013 and follow up appointments have proven that to me. I give credit also to friends and coworkers, who have been extremely supportive.
I approach the next 365 days with the most optimism possible. It will be a great year and I look forward to having you all as part of my life.
Love ya. Dave

Over the past year plus, there have been countless prayers, lots of tears and and a range of emotions. I very much believe in the power of prayer and family. I know for a fact that his faith in God, and that my daughters and nieces were absolutely what kept his spirit up and helped him to be so strong.
I'm sure may of the DISDads here have personal accounts of victories and losses. So if you take anything away from this message, it's to appreciate what you have today. :grouphug:

WOW! Congrats!

What a fantastic story, thanks for sharing. Got me a bit chocked up and smiling at the same time. Well said and thanks for reminding us all not to let the car repair, replacement t.v. or washing machine, get to us - that it is about family and faith :thumbsup2

Been a long week. I'd rather go to the amusement park like Brett or Brent, preferably WDW. Only 50 days until Fall Break trip.

Congrats on the 20K.

True. :thumbsup2

Had a super fun but exhausting day. I took the day off and DW and I took our girls and 2 friends to our local amusement park, (Kennywood Park) We woke up to thunderstorms and torrential down pours. We left at 10AM thinking we'd head to the Science museum for a while to wait on the rains. The showers dissipated and we went straight to the park. Got there 5 minutes before the rides started running an walked onto everything all day! Longest wait was maybe 10 minutes. :goodvibes

Sounds like a great time. Since I was a kid, I wanted to go to Kennywood.

Thanks guys, it was a good day, little rain till the evening, the worst when we were already inside for dinner. FB as usual had a rough play by play. Things worked out well, with my brother and niece, too bad my other niece and SIL couldn't make it, but it was likely for the best.

Lots of memories, lots of laughs, plus I think Dad loves Trevor best :lmao

Saw the posts on FB. Glad you had a good day.

Morning Guys,

Had a world wind trip with DS yesterday to the semi-finals of the U20 Women's World Cup. The game turned out to be a beat down with Nigeria beating North Korea 6-2. We had some North Koreans sitting near us though and they were fun to listen to. They were definitely into the match.

Back to work today, good times.

Great pics and an interesting afternoon. Did you tell them any Kim Jong-un jokes?

Thursday lunch ownage. Washing machine delivered, so life can return to normal. Not really happy with that cost.

That sucks. I still have not had the freezer looked at. Not interested knowing the costs of either fixing or replacing it.

Now that is impressive.

Well we booked a tentative trip for next May. We haven't told the kids. I got a good deal on renting some points so I went ahead and took advantage. I have decided to stay at my job until at least next May. That is when I will be due for my bonus, and I am not forefiting that baby!
