'Is this thing still on?'
:mic:

Holy cow…. I can't believe this thread is still going. I just got through a crazzzzzzzy 6 weeks and I'm finally coming up for a breath. I hope everyone has been well. I should be showing my face around here a bit more now. :surfweb:

Welcome back Tim! I think you came back just in time to see everyone else leave on vacation.

Morning Guys.

First official day of vacation!:banana:

Finishing up a few last minute things today and we hit the road tomorrow. Can't wait. :goodvibes

See? :rotfl2:

Morning Everyone.

Back at work today after having my gallbladder yanked out on Thursday. Doc made a little cut in my belly button, puffed me up like a balloon with CO2 and sent the robots in after that little bugger. Laid around the hospital for a few hours, then convinced the nurse I was healthy enough to go home that evening. Feeling better every day since, but I'm still on a 10 lb lifting restriction until my follow up appt next week. 30 lb DS is not very happy about that situation.

Hope everything is back to normal soon. I might be able to get you a deal on a crane to lift your son in the meantime.:thumbsup2

In other news, I'm "on call" for jury duty this week. I have to call in every night after 6 to see if I'm needed the next day. One day down, three to go. I'm banking on the fact that no one wants to start a new trial the week of July 4th.

Mine starts next week. Maybe I can hope for a 4th of July trial hangover?:confused3

Off to the dentist soon. Hope it is not the 3 hour ordeal that it was the last time.

Good to hear it went well and you are back and at 'em. Hard to imagine Rafiki not being able to hold up young ones

Nicely played. I did hear Ryder bounces well though. Wonder what the interpretation of the tag line is.

Real well. I'm not a big chicken guy unless it is fried but I guess I have mastered the beer can method as the rest of the family including the in-laws loved it.

That's why I don't go to 50s Prime Time. Not only is there that named restaurant and great local fried chicken, but my MIL makes a great fried chicken.

:lmao: :rotfl: :lmao:

Good morning. Busy week ahead. County fair time around here and we're in the middle of wheat harvest at work. Thankfully we're heading to Gatlinburg in 2 weeks. It can't get here soon enough!

Have a great trip. We went a few years ago and stayed in a 2 BR villa at the Holiday Inn. We really liked Ripley's aquarium.

Good match up last week. I thought you had it, and can't believe I was cheering on the Yankees yesterday.

I've only been called once for jury duty and they didn't select me. I guess they figured that since the trial wasn't about beer, then I wouldn't have anything to contribute.

You
Also, I didn't forget about you Norm…. I'll let you know when I ship. :cool2:
?

A bet is a bet. I'll just have to wait another 4 years for a championship game.

Glad to hear you're on the up and up… You're running out of excuses to come to the East Coast. What's next? You gonna tell us you loved gold so much you even lost your genitaliens in an unfortunate smelting accident?
Oh, no, we're still road tripping. I've been informed that if I'm in that bad of shape, Bambi and the kids will go without me. So you still get to hang out with them.

Don't you need to fix a bridge or something with that?

A wise man once told me "Percocet and a beer works wonders." :thumbsup2

Google translate says that it's Afrikaans for "the shortest performance DVD of the The Lion King". :rotfl:

Root canal a success. A big drain on the wallet but a success. My judicial plans apparently are falling on deaf ears. However I'm still on the right side of the soil, so everything can't be that bad. Glad to hear everyone else's surgeries went well. CJ, how was the dentist for you?

Watching NBC's show on Diagon Alley. Looks impressive. Watch out Disney, Universal is gunning for you, time to step up your game.

Not allowed Percocet, bad reaction. Vodka works though.

Another three hour ordeal, lots of bridgework, filing etc. Plus the one tooth that needs to come out is still there. Have to go back in a couple of weeks. Then a series of crowns, plugs and the like. I swear my teeth think they are British.

I'm watching as well.
I love Disney and Universal, will be visiting Universal for Diagon Alley in Sept then Disney 2 weeks later. As of right now I don't think Disneys answer of Avatarland will be anywhere in the same ball park. Now Star Wars Land, done right could compete. Love that Universal is giving Disney something to think about, should be great for guest for years to come.

My pharmacist wife tells me percocet\alcohol is a bad combo. She's talking to my surgeon to get me a script for something different for my recovery from knee surgery.

I saw when the Today show was broadcasting from there. It looked pretty darn cool. I'ma Harry Potter fan and my 9 year old is on the last book right now. Friends bought wands for our girls when they were down there. I want to go to Universal but it's not cost effective for us to mix Disney and Universal. I think at some point we'll probably do a separate trip to Universal or do a 10-day vacation.

A three day week for me. Last day of fiscal year and I already put in all my work hours for the year. Including all those holidays, I did manage 3 months of paid leave for the year.
What is it that you do? I'm thinking it's time for a career change. I could deal with 3 months of paid leave! :thumbsup2

. Planning next year's trip to where?

To WDW of course!

Welcome back Tim!

Good morning all :)

‘Morning all…
Work got stupid nuts yesterday. But then again, I didn’t have to spend any time with doctors, dentists, or fellow jurors, so I’ll just have to consider myself lucky.

I’ll also wish the home team well in this afternoon’s match.
Hang tough guys.

On a side note, we just may have found a way to get some Disney time.
It’s probably not a smart plan, and it won’t go into action for nearly a year…
But ya’ gott’a keep keep dreaming.

Plus - Fire Show in 5 days. :thumbsup2

I've never see Avatar, but I guess I should pretty soon. Disney is taking quite a gamble that the next 3 movies will be as popular as the first.

Day two down - 2 more to go!

Morning Guys. Leaving for the USA in a couple of hours.
It is, after all, the best place to spend Canada Day!

I specialize in not smart plans, so whatever you're thinking of, I approve.
