Morning guys. 8 Days until we surprise the kids with a trip down to WDW. :cool1::cool1::cool1:

Can't wait!

Have a great time Paul! Hope the kids get super excited! :thumbsup2

Have fun Scott.

Have a great day with DD!

Scott, enjoy the day with your daughter.

We had a great day.....made her breakfast, did her hair (I do a mean ponytail), went shopping (cool shopping though, Dicks Sporting Goods, Dunham's, MC Sports (we were shopping for soccer shin guards and cleats)) (yeah, it's crazy, I just put parentheses inside parentheses - did it blow your mind?), and even out to lunch together.

Her choice - we went to Chili's.

Came home and got my mower running (took longer than it should have).

Mowed the grass quick and kicked the soccer ball around a while.

All in all a great day and a blessing to have some time just one on one with her. :thumbsup2:thumbsup2 two thumbs up!

I even did 3 loads of laundry - bonus points with DW!

How is Max doing? Coming near the end of his Freshman year. Can't believe the Pirate Princess will be an upperclassman next fall.

Congrats to the Pirate on her continued success and hard work

Our young’en is doing rather well up in the mountians. He adapted pretty quick and the school suits him well.
The year does seem to have just evaporated. Exams are the week of May 5-9 (less than 2 weeks off) so we’ll be headed up to collect him very soon. The administration has already notified him that he has the requirements met to be registered as a sophomore (barring an unlikely meltdown during finals), so that’s one down and three to go. It’ll be August again before we know it and time to start all over once more.

Scary.

Can I blame your coach for my weight gain??
!

I've been blaming Andy's coach for my weight gain for years, without even knowing it. :lmao:

Thanks guys. We're going to get it on film. Plan is to pick DD up at school and tell her she needs to come to drop me off at the airport. When we get there we're just going to ask if she wants to get on the plane with me (and DW and DS) and go to WDW... Should be fun. :thumbsup2
:

Good luck. Even if the surprise doesn't work, you're still going to WDW.

We've done 3 surprise trips, 2 for WDW and 1 for a cruise. 2 times reaction was good, the other not quite what we hoped for.

We tried the surprise visit once. It didn't work.

‘Afternoon all…
Why is it that I seem to find less and less time to post over here anymore?
Obviously my priorities are out of whack; will have to endeavor to correct.
.

You really need to get those priorities straightened out. Work should not interfere with DisBoard posting time.

Unloaded the clean dishes, dirty ones are in the dishwasher, laundry going, fridge emptied, and garbage taken out. Time for a nap?

That sounds like a workload for the week for you. You need a vacation.

Good morning. Went to the Dr for a physical. Was told to lose 20 pounds...

And it isn't like I've gained 20 pounds since the last time I saw him. I've been at this weight for 10 or 12 years. He asked me if I've ever weighed around 190 or 200 lbs. I said yeah, when I was a freshman in high school. :rotfl2::lmao::rotfl: I blame my high school football coach for making me put on more weight. :lmao:

And when you asked for a second opinion, did the doctor say you were ugly, too? :lmao:

Hows it going guys man I have been fighting to keep up we will see how long I can keep up this time.

You won't be able to get by with that much longer. DW had Christmas on Christmas Eve with her dad in part because of his work schedule.

This is true but right now he never noticed.

Was reading on home this weekend (and whole spring) could be a bad one for storms, tornados etc. Prayers and hopes this turns out to be an exaggeration.

Best wishes on his exams and congratulations to him.

I've noticed with mine, the years go by quicker all the time. SWMBO says I have to quit picking up DD now that she is 10, but I figure in another year I won't be able to so I had better do it now.

It is going to be a rough one across the south-central US. Prayer for all.

OH boy… I haven't be to my physician in years.

I would love to be at my high school weight as well. Did he also suggest you adopt a pet unicorn?
:rotfl2::rotfl2: :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Fellas-

I logged in to the DIS this morning and headed straight for the DISdads page as most of you do as part of you morning internet routine. And what do I see waiting to greet me? A reminder that yesterday was hump day! While I'm sure that girl is a sweet kid with a great personality, may I request that we not post stuff that will give me a heart attack if it is on my screen at work?

I've got a sweet, low-stress job with mediocre pay. It's perfect for me. I don't want to screw it up by accidentally offending someone who may be walking by when Miss Wednesday shows up.
OUCH! :scared:

I agree, although no one cares what I look at while I'm at work. :cool2:

We just had our mandatory sexual harassment class. Everyone's conclusion was you can say whatever you want once.
:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Had a flash-back to DDC XIII
The dreaded thread that must not be named.

:rotfl2::lmao::rotfl: No, but after our discussion about weight he kind of shrugged and said "well, you're big boned, so I'm not too worried about it, but you really should lose some weight."

So there... proof that "big boned" is a medical term. My doctor confirmed it. :thumbsup2 :rotfl:
Does he say that term to the women too?

Busy morning. Heading off to DC tomorrow at stupid o'clock so a ton of stuff to do. The Cheetah is running the Nike Diva Half and I am going up to see the race.
Safe travels CJ… good luck to the master shiv-er!

DDC XIII - DIS Dads Evil Incorporated

It had a name...
And we probably should’a know that some type of removal-inator would cause its demise.
:lmao:
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Well played!

Mind Blown!

Sounds like a great day with DD! :)

This is where you screwed up. 3 loads??? Now she is going to expect that evey time.

How old do you have to be to know meatloaf? That's good stuff. Meatloaf sandwiches the following day are even better.

The timing of this comment is perfect... Emma hurt her ankle in soccer practice last night and when it came time to go upstairs to bed she asked for a piggy-back ride up the stairs. I soon realized how long it's been since I last gave her one of those rides :scared: Not the light 40 lbs girl anymore. At 11 she is closer to double that. Plus, she's nearly as tall as DW now. Cant' we just stop this :hourglass???

Are you walking this morning? :lmao:

‘Morning all…
“…and isn't it a lovely mornin’?”

You really need to get those priorities straightened out. Work should not interfere with DisBoard posting time.

You are correct sir!
Now I just need to convince my overlords as to the wisdom of that concept.

One and done. When is that next tuition payment due?

One and done…
Two and threw…
Three and free…
Four; you’ll stay some more…

Not being a star athlete, the first three don’ t apply to him.
If the forth one turns out to be the case… additional semesters will be on his dime
As for the current tuition… we’re already paying as much as we can stand each month.
Once he leaves full time status, we’ve got ten years to pay off the balance.

And when you asked for a second opinion, did the doctor say you were ugly, too? :lmao:

Mine certainly did… :rotfl2:

“Meals on Wheels”

Thanks for the welcome guys!

Whoops! I missed where you signed on.
Welcome sir! Grab some cold pizza from the fridge, bust open a cold one and join in on the conversation.

Time, like gravity, accelerates proportionally in relation to itself.
You go on ahead and pick up your young’en and long as she allows it.
(and you still able to defeat that gravity thing long enough to accomplish it)

Okay, Dads, less than two weeks until we begin motoring south. Question, since this drive is going to be during a weekday, what is the afternoon/evening rush 'hour' like for Jacksonville? Might be hitting there around 6-730PM. Should I go straight through or take the east or west bypass? Remember, I'm from North Jersey so my idea of rushhour traffic might be a bit different.
