DIS Dads DDC XXXII: A Dole Whip in Paradise

Good afternoon gentlemen. Know what day it is? I'm back for my once a week post. Work is giving away a Mini Cooper every day in May so they are begging for people to work an extra shift. Being a glutton for punishment I volunteered. If you don't see me until June, you know why. Hope everyone is well If you rooted for the local hockey club, you'd have 2. Dallas stole our cup. I'm a United fan for that very reason. I want one team that won't break my heart EVERY year. (yeah I know that's not working so well this year. <===== Not a thumb Seriously have a great trip. I told DW I'm going to WDW for my 40th which just so happens to fall during Star Wars Weekends. Beat me to it. You'd figure a lawyer would be able to afford something better than Gungan assassins. He didn't do so well against my security. Here's what we grilled this weekend. Welcome to the funny farm. Its kind of hard to do when the ball is at the bottom of the damn pond.

I've got a weird Thursday day off this week. (Which means I have to work Saturday) :yuck:

But it's also weird because my youngest DD has school and my oldest DD doesn't. So I'm looking forward to spending the day with my oldest DD. I don't recall having too much time when it was just the two of us.

Hey guys- I have been lurking here for a while now, and finally decided to sign up for the DIS, and wanted to join you guys. I have been to Disney World four times in the last five years with my wife, including our Honeymoon and our First Anniversary, and are looking forward to taking our one year old son at some point in the next year or two. Anyway, it was nice to meet you guys!

Potential career move coming up as well so prayers appreciated. I'd rather be looking at retirement though.

This trip we are staying at Pop, when we get back we will have 47 days till we are staying at AKL we were staying at the Jambo House but now we are staying at AKL Kalanii village for Star Wars weekend in June, there are more trips planned but I don't want to be called names

I hope to meet up again with Carl this trip

You'll have to let us know how the surprise goes. When we surprised ours, DD was excited and DS did not do so well at the time. He doesn't deal with change well.:good vibes

The October trip with DD will be a surprise. Will be picking her up from school and heading straight to the airport on Friday afternoon.

And it isn't like I've gained 20 pounds since the last time I saw him. I've been at this weight for 10 or 12 years. He asked me if I've ever weighed around 190 or 200 lbs. I said yeah, when I was a freshman in high school. I blame my high school football coach for making me put on more weight.

I logged in to the DIS this morning and headed straight for the DISdads page as most of you do as part of you morning internet routine. And what do I see waiting to greet me? A reminder that yesterday was hump day! While I'm sure that girl is a sweet kid with a great personality, may I request that we not post stuff that will give me a heart attack if it is on my screen at work?

I've got a sweet, low-stress job with mediocre pay. It's perfect for me. I don't want to screw it up by accidentally offending someone who may be walking by when Miss Wednesday shows up.
