Morning Men! Was looking through some articles this morning and according to Mr. Staggs, FP+ is now unlimited and you can book across multiple parks as of Monday. Once you use the 3 you can book early, you can book a 4th at a kiosk, then a 5th after that is used and so on. You can also book your FP+ at more than one park per day. They are not able to to it via the app yet (tech issues as usual), but are working on it. I'll see if I can find the link. It was on Yahoo.com this morning.

Saw it on FB last night. Hoping they get the bugs out by October, as standing in the kiosk line is less fun that standing in the stand by line.

.

The lesson, as always, I'm an idiot. :thumbsup2

Well, that seems to be the most obvious statement of the year. :lmao:

Still, you're at WDW. Enjoy it.

Yeah... too late for that heads-up, too. Changes began... fortunately, she hasn't noticed the boys yet... or at least the women have not exposed this information to me yet :scared:

My 12 year has noticed. Fortunately, there are almost double the boys at her school than girls. So, while those conversations are difficult, they also include about having options. No boyfriends yet. :dance3:

On another note....

We're booked at OKW checking in 26 September....looking forward to it.:thumbsup2

We'll check in Oct 4 at BWV.

hey guys. :wave2:

So 7 days until the trip. Drank too much scotch last night and ended up extending the trip by a day. Having an extra day in WDW is wonderful, but when I realized the cost of changing the flights and now needing to find a room for that night, well lets just say it was sobering.

The lesson, as always, I'm an idiot. :thumbsup2

How do you drink too much scotch? ;) :lmao:

I peeled and ate oranges in my tiny office this AM. Now, when I return and open the door, it smells like Soarin. I keep walking to the photocopier and mail room so that I can return and open my office door. :thumbsup2

Happy Friday fellas!

Just one more week!

The ultimate ticker.

You are correct sir!
Now I just need to convince my overlords as to the wisdom of that concept.

As for the current tuition… we’re already paying as much as we can stand each month.
Once he leaves full time status, we’ve got ten years to pay off the balance. it)

I didn't tell the overloads about my office oranges/Soarin plan. They'll find out if they stop by. :lmao:

10 years to pay off the tuition? :crazy2: :sad2:

Nice thought but… He’s majoring in Music-Performance and Music-Ed…
Not professions known for rapidly resulting in high levels of disposable income.
:scared: :rotfl2:

Oh.

Well, better set up that cot in the basement for him, then. :rotfl2:

The lesson, as always, I'm an idiot. :thumbsup2

TAG FAIRY!!!!!!!

Now that's just fine work, right there.:thumbsup2

Does this change strategy? Before, I was thinking that I would book my FPs for the afternoon when lines get long. But if I can't book additional ones until the first three are gone, do I book those for the mornings so I can get in the "Bonus" quicker? :confused3

Sounds like they’re starting to get it figured out. It’ll be a good while yet before I can get back down there so I hoping that the entire process will be considerably less painful by that time.

The lesson, as always, I'm an idiot. :thumbsup2

Of course you are.
But I have yet to meet any one that isn’t an idiot on some level.
(Especially those that will try to tell you that their not).

If I had an office, I’d be implementing that strategy.

10 years to pay off the tuition? :crazy2: :sad2:

That’s the maximum length of time allowed.
If we do this right, it won’t take that long.

Do wish I had the total amount in pocket, but that just ain’t so.

Oh.

Well, better set up that cot in the basement for him, then. :rotfl2:

Yah, but I sold the basement to afford the schooling.
He’ll have to pitch a tent in the backward instead. :lmao:

Actually, that is something we’ve discussed at length. If he wants to work at music, coming back to this area will not be in his best interest. I’ve even heavily suggested that he may need to consider relocating to spots on the map that support the arts in general far more thoroughly than we do around here.

He’s very aware that the chosen path will be difficult and likely not particularly lucrative. He’s take on it is that he’d rather have less cash and love what he’s doing. A philosophy that’s likely the result of watching his parents be miserable day in and day out (while still not profiting much from it). Truth is, I abandoned every dream I ever had for “stability” and “steady work” (coupled with a lack of support and opportunity). I’ve got little to show for that safe choice beyond regret. I’m going to give him the opportunity to at least chase after a desire. He can’t do much worse.

That's kind of what I was thinking. Book them all in the morning so I can take advantage of the extra ones available. As Norm reminded a few posts ago, the kiosk lines have been reported as very long. Hopefully that is not the case or they get it worked out quickly. Can't see the point of waiting in a 30 minute line to book a fast pass if the SB lines are 30 minutes.:sad2:

:thumbsup2

There's always the trailer in CJ's yard option with Norm. :lmao::lmao:

Happy Friday Gentlemen.

Went to the orthopedic surgeon today and got the news I didn't want to hear. Pretty sure my left ACL is in tatters. We didn't do an MRI to verify that, but he said there "is a lot of sloppiness in there." Easter Sunday, while playing some pick up soccer with my son and nephews, I planted to kick the ball, heard a POP in my knee and crumpled to the ground. It's been in pain ever since. It's finally gotten to the point where I can sort-of kind-of gimp around half way decently. Doc wants to do a month or so of Physical Therapy to see if I can strengthen my knee up enough to avoid surgery and the 7-9 month rehab that comes with it.

You could always cut that leg off and just get a peg leg like a pirate! pirate:

Aw - come on, ya know you want to!

You could change your name to Smith. So we could say we once knew a man with a wooden leg named Smith. :thumbsup2

Sorry to hear that. However, a bionic replacement would only add to the Legend that is the All Knowing and Powerful Rafiki :thumbsup2

OUch :headache: That'll teach to act all young and stuff. :rotfl2: Seriously, though, hope the PT helps it heal quickly and naturally. Painful road ahead.

On the other hand... Scott has a REALLY good argument there.

You might be my nemesis, but bravo, sir.

Ouch... sorry to hear about that.

Been a while since I fired up D-COT and listened to some Epcot entrance music. :music: Sure has made the day go by a little faster.

It's an admirable philosophy. And we'd all love to be paid for doing something we love to do. But I'd also argue that you shouldn't feel regret about doing whatever you needed to do in order to provide for your wife and son. This is also praise-worthy, and that kind of sacrifice for your family should not be taken lightly. :thumbsup2

Sometimes the grass really is greener somewhere else, but the truth is all work is hard and trying at times. Mostly because every job requires you to deal with other people. :rotfl:

There's always the trailer in CJ's yard option with Norm. :lmao::lmao:

No! That's my retirement plan! :rotfl2::rotfl:

Well...that sucks. Hope the PT can work for you, but I'd watch out for those blind-side hits from Evan. I never saw them coming.

If the PT doesn't work, as the doctor for the bionic options.:thumbsup2

Dave, just wanted to say good luck on the upcoming trip! :thumbsup2

Which once again supports my philosophy of no exercise/ supreme laziness. I do hope the pain subsides and it gets better. I am sitting in car rider line at school, waiting to take my youngest to doctor as she has been complaining about her heel and limping.

You could always cut that leg off and just get a peg leg like a pirate! pirate:

Right. I still prefer bourbon.

I gave up riches as well. :lmao:

I wish I had selected a better career path, but I'm happy with all the non work time I get with the family, and enough money to wrangle a yearly trip to WDW.

There's always the trailer in CJ's yard option with Norm. :lmao::lmao:

I'm still keeping the dream alive. Maybe one day.

Thanks. With the vacation schedule we have planned out, i can't find 7-9 months to squeeze in rehab. :headache:

Only a million?!? Lee Majors got $6 million in 1974. Adjusted for inflation, I should be the 28.9 million Dollar Rafiki!

Ouch... sorry to hear about that.
Me too. Thanks.
